Additional Location Information
Situated in Andalucia, southern Spain, Ronda is steeped in history and famed for its outstanding natural beauty. The town was one of the last Moorish cities to fall to the Conquistadors and there remains a fierce passion to protect the Rondenan identity. The streets are full of festivals, the most famous of which is the Pedro Romero feria held in September and beautifully depicted by the artist Goya. Ronda inspires some of the most famous writers, poets and free thinkers and is a must-see for any history and art lover. The countryside is rich in natural parks with breathtaking views that also produce some of the highest quality products to eat and drink.
The farmhouse is situated minutes from Ronda and the village of Arriatte with ample parking. We are just over 1 hr's drive from Malaga, Jerez and Seville airports and an hour from the beautiful beaches on the southern coast.

BathBest ever group holiday
Left on 01/10/2013 for a stay in July 2012
We were six families, with umpteen children of all ages. We had an absolute ball. The house is a gorgeous looking old hacienda, with lots of quiet corners, and in a lovely rural spot. But what makes it so special for a big group summer holiday is the massive pool (which we spent more time in than out). We got Maria, the housekeeper, to cook for us on a number of evenings, which worked really well and was very good value. The house is characterful rather than overly smart, which suited us perfectly - no worries about marks on antiques etc.

We love Spain but had no idea that we could have such an amazing time with our four young children (8,6,4 and 2). The staff was very warm and helpful with the children and allowed my husband and I to even have a bit of alone time! the grounds are stunning, the house is divine and it was a perfect family holiday all around.

SydneyRambling Comfort and rustic charm outside gorgeous Ronda
Left on 10/07/2012 for a stay in September 2012
Our party of 12 adults had two wonderful weeks at The White Olive in September 2012. We discovered more and more aspects of the delightful and spectacular town of Ronda, only a 10 minute drive away, but also explored the white villages, took a guided walk through the Sierra de Grazalema, took easy day trips to Seville, Cordoba and Granada. Then came home to relax under the Olive trees by the enormous pool looking out over the valley. Or cook for thr evening using aubergines and tomatoes from the garden. At night, the table for 22 on the terrace easily accommodated the extras staying elsewhere. We much preferred meals cooked by the wonderful Maria to eating out! Kids would love exploring and the donkeys, including baby Banjo, dolly the sheep and the eggs from the chooks. Make sure you get precise directions to the property.

LondonStunning position offering a true sense of relaxation.

The house offers outside living where you are spoilt for patios to dine out on, each offering it's own unique vista of the valley.
The layout of the house is very communal, it is rather endearing to see Donkey's grazing on the fields nearby, and the cockerel wake you up as the sun rises.
The water fountain in the central courtyard is a beautiful feature and adds to the serenity of the location.

We had a fantastic stay at the White Olive. The children loved the chickens and the donkeys and swimming in the fantastic pool. They also thought the pool bar was amazing and became our barmen! We loved the whole ambiance and found it a tranquil and relaxing spot. We hope to visit again soon.

London, United KingdomPerfect holiday venue to relax and explore real Spain
Left on 09/04/2012 for a stay in August 2012
The farmhouse is spacious, the bedrooms beautifully decorated and the outside space offers comfortable places to chill either in the sun or shade. The pool is fantastic and the views across the valley are incredible. Maria (housekeeper) provided anything we wanted and if you are looking for a place to stay with family or a larger group to kick back, enjoy each others company and to use as a base to explore the local area I couldn't recommend "The White Olive" higher.

Been to Spain many times but never stayed in such a tranquil beautiful house. Once there no reason to leave. The bar by the pool was my favourite spot! Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning soon.
