S E R E N D I P I T Y: “The faculty or phenomenon of finding delightful, pleasant or valuable things not sought for, while having the wisdom to discern it.” This is how we, while aimlessly exploring the island of Jamaica on an anniversary retreat, unexpectedly discovered the spectacular view at Ladywood Villa.

So, whether you are coming to Jamaica in search of true relaxation, complete escape or exhilarating adventure, Serendipity will offer unpredictable and delightfully pleasant discoveries as well.

This villa is newly remodeled with a pleasant balance of elegance, and comfort. The already... spectacular views have been improved to 180 degrees, allowing you to see the earth’s curve. Serendipity is well appointed with 6 bedrooms (with en-suite bathrooms), two powder rooms, a media room and a game room and can sleep twelve guests. Your varying moods for solitude or socialization are aptly met with a variety of lounging, sitting and gathering areas, both indoors and out.

Image your first day in paradise…it begins while you are still asleep, the cook or butler quietly places pots of steaming Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee, or tea on the verandah or outside your bedroom door. While you lounge, fully enchanted by the spectacular view of the Caribbean Sea, and the morning melodies of the song birds, your full breakfast is prepared and then graciously served when all guests are ready. After breakfast, the gardener shows you the grounds with it lush variety of flowering plants and fruit trees. You will likely see a Doctor Bird (Jamaica’s famed humming bird) sipping nectar from a flower; taste a ripe exotic fruit right off the tree; or have a coconut water right from its shell. Unobtrusively, your chambermaid and laundress are caring for every detail of your bedroom and bath - providing fresh linens and flowers, returning your neatly-folded laundry, and turning down your bed for the evening. The gardener has prepared the pool and deck for a cool refreshing dip, and the butler stands ready to serve you a tantalizing libation from the bar, while you bask in the warmth of the tropical sun. Our Staff will certainly spoil you as soak in the beauty and rhythm of Jamaica.

From this convenient perch on the “Elegant Corridor” you are minutes from the best Jamaica (and arguably the Caribbean) has to offer in dining, shopping, site-seeing, nightlife, golfing, beaches, music festivals and the newly built convention center. With the new modern roadways that serpentine along the Caribbean Sea, Ochio Rios and Negril are just 90 minutes away. No wonder Travel & Leisure has dubbed the north coast of the island "the Jamaican Riviera"

• 25% deposit within 7 days of booking, final deposit due 60 days prior to arrival. Full payment due when booked less than 60 days in advance.
• Refund of less 20% of deposit only if canceled 60 days or more prior to arrival.
• Damage deposit of $500

• Suggested tip: 10-15% of your rate

  A vacation like no other

  We were greeted at the airport by Norman, the most professional driver ever, he made our transition smooth and for a group of 12 adults, that is tough! He had thought of everything - including bringing a second van for our luggage! The staff at the villa greeted us at the door with warm smiles and cool towels, they made sure all our luggage was safely delivered to our rooms and then the fun began! We all stopped and stared at the huge view of the Caribbean Sea spread out in front of us, the breeze, the way the rooms are laid out and the villa itself takes total advantage of that view. We quickly changed, and began the most perfect seven days of nothing but relaxing, laughing and eating punctuated by an occasional sightseeing trip. Derek, the butler completely made the trip, he was attentive, but quiet, helpful but never intrusive - he made us feel so special. Ruby, the cook gave us gormet meals three times a day. We discussed our likes and dislikes the first day and she made it all happen. We did not need to go out to dinner and the one night we went to a lovely restaurant in town, we all agreed that we could have stayed home and eaten at Restaurant Ruby for an even better meal.
  It is tough to please 12 distinct people, but the staff and managment at Serendipity did just that, from organizing the most incredible massage at the villa, to driving us to out of the way Mayfield Falls, they never stopped working.
  All the rooms were large and private, we never felt on top of one another, we ate meals in different places, by the pool, in the dining room, on the deck, where ever we felt inspired to eat that day, Derek made it happen.
  I do not have one bad thing to say - I loved every minute, and would recommend Serendipity to a group like us, a large family, or just a few people that want to get away - It was truly a vacation to remember.
