Doric House with its imposing sandstone pillars is situated in the centre of the ancient seaside hamlet of Rosemarkie with it’s Pictish roots and ancient carved stones now displayed at the Groam House Museum in the High street. The hamlet nestles below red sand stone cliffs and rolling hills which lead to a beautiful sandy beach, where salmon are regularly netted. The south beach extends to a peninsula and lighthouse known as Chanonry Point, famous for bottle nose dolphins, which feed and play in the shallows of the Moray Firth. We had a lovely time staying at Doric House. The accomodation was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The location was perfect for touring the area and we spotted dolphins everyday at nearby Chanory Point. It is the ideal place to come for a relaxing holiday. We will definately be back
