There is a golf course available for enthusiasts, while those interested in nature might like to try and spot the abundant wildlife that has made the River Alyn its home. The River Alyn is also a great local fishing spot and plays host to a number of other pursuits such as kayaking and the occasional prospector looking for elusive Welsh gold. The village has a number of good restaurants, pubs and shops and there are more to be found further afield in the historic city of Chester. Chester plays host to a variety of other attractions, such as Chester Zoo and the notable Gateway Theatre.Read more

Hen Cottage was an excellent choice for those wanting to be clos

The accommodation was very comfortable, well equipped , spacious and the owners were charming and helpful. They had even installed Christmas decorations!
Shopping in Wrexham and Chester, 2 days before Christmas was
