Your destination for any season. We invite you to a relaxing vacation in the primally Franconian region. Let the quaint Taubertal’s romantic nature enchant you.

Choose between three cozy vacation apartments in our guest house. They are equipped with a cooking corner, cable TV and fridge. Bed sheets, towels and tablecloths are provided. Fresh breakfast rolls are available close by.

Ground floor: living room with kitche...n corner, bedroom with third bed, shower/toilet and terrace (~40 sq.m).

Second floor: living room with kitchen corner and couch, which can be pulled out into a double bed (160x200 cm), bathroom, shower/toilet and balcony (~45 sq.m).

Top floor: living/bed room, kitchenette, living room, shower, toilet (~35 sq.m).

We always attempt to make your experience with us as pleasurable as possible and are always available for any questions or suggestions. We will also gladly offer ideas for excursions near and far.

Detwang was first mentioned in official documents in 969 and is one of the villages surrounding Rothenburg in the idyllic Tauber valley landscape.

The city can be reached in five minutes of driving; several footpaths along the Tauber river provide great landscape views and also lead to the historical old town.

The medieval parish church St. Peter and Paul contains the valuable cross altar by Tilman Riemenschneider which is truly worth seeing.

Detwang is a popular vacation spot and offers two rustic restaurants with truly Franconian kitchen and cozy beer gardens. From the nearby starting area, you can go on hot air-balloon tours, or get to the Tauber valley bike path which also starts here and onto extended bike tours.

The historic old town as well as the area surrounding Rothenburg offer many choices for spending a relaxing vacation full of great experiences.

Take Autobahn A7 > exit Rothenburg > Rothenburg> Follow signs to Bad Mergentheim > Rothenburg city limits > after 2 km you reach Detwang, we're located on the left.
Our cottage is found in Detwang on the left side of Main Street (Hauptstrasse; it’s the second house).

Stroll leisurely through cobblestone streets (much of the town is car-free) and enjoy this romantic town's charms. Rothenburg ob der Tauber has preserved vestiges of its medieval importance into the 21st century. A series of walls and towers defended the city over the ages, and the most recent still surrounds most of the older part of the city. Stairwells ascend to the top of the wall at intervals, and the entire wall can be walked. In addition, the Roedertor tower at the east end of the city is open daily to allow a climb up the stairs to the vista from it.

  Esta casa está en el barrio de Detwang. Es como alojarte en un pequeño pueblito a 10 minutos andando de Rothenburg. La casa tiene tres apartamentos. Nosotros estuvimos en el de en medio. Tenía un salón grandecito con la cocina adjunta con todo lo necesario, una zona con sillones para ver la tele y una mesa camilla. El salón tiene acceso a una pequeña terraza. La habitación era amplia y cómoda. Todo estaba muy limpio.
  La dueña de la casa fue muy amable y nos dedicó un buen rato cuando llegamos para explicarnos cosas que hacer, rutas caminando... Siempre que teníamos una duda no teníamos más que llamar a su puerta y nos atendió siempre de maravilla. Nos recomendó el restaurante de al lado que es de su hermana,donde nos atendieron excepcionalmente. Merece la pena alojarse aquí.
  Lo único que le falla y que estaría bien mejorar es la conexión Wi-fi.
