Árd na Mara, Roundstone is a newly built 4 Bed detached cottage with uninterrupted views of Bertraghboy Bay and nearby islands of Inishlacken, Inishnee and Deer Island.The Cottage is located in the village on the coast road, just opposite the Church and the Garda Station. Gurteen Beach and Dogs Bay are less than a 5 minute drive or just a leisurely walk. It’s only a stones throw away from nearby pubs, restaurants and hotels in the village.
It is a very spacious house which is the perfect holiday home for you and your family, friends or for entertaining guests.

Location : Excellent 10/10. Close to the Village/Shops/playground/Beaches close/Restaurants etc
General Condition in/outside of house was good.
On a closer look:
Inside : needed a good dust down.Kitchen/Dining area 6/10.Bathroom good.
Plenty of space and rooms.However disappointed with quality of beds and linen for the price , 2/10.there was no outside storage area for bikes etc..maybe a small shed would help.Garden furniture has suffered as a result.
In comparsion to other houses available,it was expensive for the period we stayed.We Located other homes for €200+ less for that week(early June) in Roundstone.So felt a little bit cheated and sorry we didn't shop around !Best= location,Worst=bed&linen;,a few improvements and it has 5 star potential! -

Very friendly greeting from seamus and fiona. Beautifully designed but very cosy and spacious. Excellent location near to beaches,shops and pubs. The fantastic views and location.

Very nice house, clean and tidy. Plenty of room for 2 families. 5 mins drive to the beach. 1 min walk into Roundstone.

Cosy and well appointed house with all mod cons. Plenty of space for two families. In village but with a nice view from the deck. Would return.

The service was so personal and welcoming.
It was such a beautiful home and so spacious, for our trip it accommodated my husband, myself, our children and grandchildren. Having sleeping accommodation upstairs and downstairs was wonderful.
The location is spectacular,lovely fishing harbour, beautiful restaurants and lovely playground and nearby beautiful beaches. It is a painter's paradise and a wonderful location for a writer's retreat, also wonderful walks.
The best thing I liked was the space and closeness to village and the worst thing was the weather on our first visit but the next time we went the weather was fantastic.

I took a trip out to Roundstone holiday home with a friend for a weekend of chilling out. Fiona and Seamus were a delight to deal with, very helpful and full instructions were in the property itself. The cottage has a beautiful deck to the rear overlooking amazing scenery. The town itself has nice shops, pubs, restaurants and has other local delights such as the pottery studio where you can pick up a unique gift from Roundstone. If you are looking to just get away from the rat race this is your place. The house itself sleeps at least 8 people and there was only 2 of us but in no way did it feel too large for a couple. The warming real fire and jacuzzi bath are also luxurious treats awaiting you. I will most definitely be back to Roundstone! :)

I stayed with a group of school friends for the weekend here and it was so so nice. There were 10 of us and we fit very comfortably. We were able to make a nice meal and enjoy a few glasses of vino in front of the cozy fire. It's a pity the weather wasn't better as I'd have loved to have had a drink on the deck enjoying the views. We were able to go for a lovely walk on Dogs Bay and Gurteen and then walk into the village for a pint and not have to worry about the car.

We were extremely well looked after by the owners who kept in regular touch with us before we arrived.The house and its views were phenomenal and we wished our party was much bigger as the house comfortably accomodates 10 people The location is incredible and has fantastic views from the rear of the house .In summer the beaches of Gurteen and Dogs Bay are close by(only a short drive) We liked the walks and views from the house and when we finished our walk we went for liquid nourishment in two pleasant hostelries O Dowds and Mary Kings which are only a short walk from ard Na Mara.

I have stayed in ard na Mara on numerous occasions and cant wait to go back again. The moment I cross the door of the house I switch off and relax. The views from the back of the house are priceless and the fact that you can stroll down the village and access all that Roundstone has to offer to me - it is the perfect location.
