We went home happy and relaxed!

Left on 07/26/2010 for a stay in July 2010

We stayed overnight at the Sanctuary, and were thrilled with the B&B.; It was roomy, well-appointed, with lovely extras such as books (including some of my favourite authors) and lovely art works, ... .guaranteed to make us feel cosy, relaxed and special. We saw the fabulous red and green King Parrots in the back yard and heard the Kookaburra family laughing away! On Saturday we walked to the nearby Royal National Park, and took the sandy track to Jibbon Head and looked for whales. We checked out some beautioful rock pools and then walked around the Head following the shoreline, into the bay and back to Bundeena village. What a privilege it was to come across the aboriginal rock carvings depicting a large whale, a dolphin, a stingray, a kangaroo and a wallaby. Our hosts Scott and Sara made us feel very welcome and we won't forget that chocolate torte in a hurry, Sara.

A sanctuary not just in name

Left on 07/13/2010 for a stay in June 2010

My boyfriend and I had planned a full day bushwalk, including early morning start, from Bundeena and thought it might be a good idea to make a weekend of it, what a great idea it was. Sanctuary Bundeena is only a short walk away from the start of the Royal National Park's coast walk but also only a short walk from the ferry wharf to/from Cronulla, so is the perfect location. Sara and Scott are lovely hosts and the room is absolutely huge, but still cosy and warm (and we were there in winter). The bed is luxuriously comfortable, the sitting chairs and table are a great place to sit and read from the books in the extensive library, and the bath was very much appreciated after a long day’s walk. A great place to stay.
