This property is for sale. Any reservation exceeding 30 days from today's date can not be guaranteed. Deer Haven is the ultimate choice in mountain living. It is located in the tall pines of the Cedar Creek area with a national forest trail head near the house. Enter the main level through the kitchen. Find two guest bedrooms to the left, one with a full bed and one with a queen; also a full bath. To the right is a cozy living room and dining area with a wood burning fireplace. Very happy about our stay, everything was wonderful we enjoyed it very much. Just wish we had not forgot our items. The people that work there were kind to sent them I just wish they would have done registered mail, maybe that way they would have not gotten lost.

Loved this secluded house. It was very well stocked with dishes,pots, pans,etc. Also had an iron, coffee pot, et al. It couldn't have been more perfect. The view was outstanding and it lived up to its name of Deer Haven because on just one morning there were 13 of the little critters in the back of the house. The wrap-around deck was just what one needs to relax and enjoy the mountains. Blue Jays...quite demanding for peanuts but we enjoyed one in particular who would pick up a peanut then set it down and choose the 2nd peanut...every time.
The only negative was the steep grade of the road up to the top. That was scary indeed. Slow is the key word.
Thank you for your help in selecting this house for us .. it fit our every need.
One suggestion...put a note in the kitchen notifying tenants that left over food can be left or brought down to the agency office. We threw away so much food since the instruction sheet said to clean out everything in the refrigerator. Confusing instructions.
All in all ... it was perfect. -

We had a wonderful time at Deer Heaven. It was a very beautiful place in side as well as outside. The only part that I didn't like was the last part of going up to the house. It was very steep with very narrow road and a long drop off on one side. I am not a very big fan of those conditions. Some people it may not bother but it did me. I may not have rented it had I known that. Although the road up until that part was really good.We saw a lot of wild life & had to stop for them to cross the road. So other than that one little part of the road it was great.

I have stayed at Deer Haven many times and I really truely love this place. It's quiet, away from others and has a majestic view of the mountains. The deck is huge and my favorite place to hang out with the deer and hummingbirds. I love this place. It just needs 1 more bathroom. Then it would be perfect!

The stay was marvalus! It started at the rental office. The staff was courtious, knowledgeable, and very freindly. The road to the rental house was a little rough on the car, but fortunatly, the weather was agreeable, no rain or snow. this little "cabin" was very roomy, confortable, and all in all, beautiful. the atmosphere was serene, peaceful and had great views of the forest and mountains. The living area was very comfy. andour guests were relaxed. we highly recomend this unit as a very family oriented site, with 4 beadrooms, two baths and moderate kitchen. Bring those steaks, grill is provided!
