A large group of friends and myself have stayed here at Siesta several times. Although I have not been back since the late 80's, others of our group continue to go there just about every year. What I can say is that my time spent here was always the best money I have spent on my vacation. The staff were always warm, friendly and professional. The food was to die for!! At breakfast, we would talk about the meals for the rest of the day and we all would kick into a dollar pool to give to the cooks. They would go to market and come back with the items we wanted or sometimes we would leave it to them to surprise us. Either way it was always fantastic. As a group, we wanted traditional Jamaican fare. The traditional Jamaican breakfast is salt fish and akee. Together with fried plantains and biscuits with jelly...it was great fuel for a post breakfast nap! Some of our group had kids and when the adults needed "adult time" the ladies of the staff always took exemplary care of the children. They have added the pool since my last visit and I look forward to making that splash!! In my opinion, you will be very happy. The flora and fauna is just beautiful and you do not have all of the hucksters that accost you like in Negril. I am much older now and my "older group" is in the beginning stages of planning a trip to Siesta very soon. I highly recomend this villa to everybody. Though this group was together in the late 80's, as stated many of them continue their pilgrimage regularly. "Irie"!!
