I cannot say enough about the accommodations, staff and grounds at Idle Hours. It the perfect alternative to a busy resort. Private pool, private beach, private chef... all for about the same price as any resort on the island. If you are looking for true relaxation along with snorkeling directly off the beach, real Jamaican food prepared to your specifications and a constant ocean breeze to keep you cool, Idle Hours is the place for you.

Cherry Hill, NJA small slice of heaven - relaxation perfected at Idle Hours

We have stayed at Idle Hours for the past 2 years and will be going back again this November. I can't say enough great things about the house, grounds, staff and owners. The house is wonderful, spacious and relaxing. They have thought of everything from the air conditioning in each bedroom to the ocean front back porch complete with rocking chairs to enjoy the ocean breeze.
The grounds are impeccable, the beach beautiful, water clean and pool immaculate. The staff is nothing short of a miracle, Sue the housekeeper keeps everything clean and comfortable, Martin the chef is a great cook, ready to make something to suit any taste and the security and grounds staff are always working behind the scene to make things run smoothly.
The owner Ingrid has been so great to me and my family, I can't thank them enough to sharing their home with everyone.
If you get a chance, be sure to book at Idle Hours. -

The name Idle is so fitting as it was so idyllic having the beach and ocean right on your door step. The villa itself is very nice and clean with all the rooms being very well sized and equipped. Our whole experience was amazing and one we will never forget. A very very big thank must go to the staff. Sue, not only for being a great House Keeper but also for being a wonderful, kind, friendly and loving person - nothing was too much trouble for her. Martin for cooking us the most wonderful meals and making a very good rum punch, which I really wish I had got the recipe for!!. Lee for making sure we were safe and secure at night and also for catching the lizards that kept finding there way inside! Robert for taking the time to show us the local area and Vivienne for keeping the beach looking so nice. Lastly, not to forget Heather, again a beautiful, helpful and caring person. We were only there for 9 nights but felt like we had known them a life time, we will miss them all but plan to keep in touch and hope to return one day. Myself and family have already and will continue to recommend this beautiful villa to our friends and family. We would never stay in a hotel in Jamaica again as there is no comparison - a Villa is by far the best option !!!

We had a wonderful vacation at Idle Hours. The information Sun villas sent
was great. Latoya was terrific in helping us. She arranged a reggae singer
for a surprise for my daughters birthday and it worked out perfectly.
I can't say enough about the staff at Idle Hours. Martin was a wonderful
cook and very accommodating, we had our two granddaughters who are
pretty picky eaters and my daughter and son in law who are vegetarians,
and yet the meals were terrific and everyone ate well.
Sue is a marvelous person and we all fell in love with her, but mostly my
granddaughters. Vivian and Lee, garden/beach and night watchman were
also very nice.
Our driver was also a pleasure.
We felt like family were taking care of us.
When we left we couldn't hug everyone enough. The people were absolutely
warm and wonderful. Idle Hours was perfect for us, the beach, the pool all
wonderful.
Thanks so much for your help and we would definitely use Sun Villas again
and hopefully return to Idle Hours
