Sevilla is situated directly on and overlooking the 7 hole and 8th Fairway of the golf course opposite the Cardiff Hotel and Spa and only 5 minutes walk from our private residents beach. We have just returned from a two week holiday at Sevilla Villa, Runaway Bay. I felt quite sad looking at the pictures of the villa on this site as I just wanted so much to be there again. This villa is truly beautiful, ideally situated, comfortable and very well equipped. Clare welcomed us on our first night as weary travellers a feast was waiting for us on our arrival. She was so kind and helpful even taking us to a local surgery when my partner needed to see a dentist after he complained of toothache.
Miss Monica provided us with delicious and filling dinners and the occasional breakfast on demand which was cooked to perfection - the ackee and saltfish with plaintains wasa particular favourite. Paulette kept the place clean and fresh and was always so helpful - nothing was too much to ask and we were always met with a smile and an 'okay'. Rallins was always there when you needed him, keeping the pool clean and the beautiful gardens well kept. We were a large family group of aunties, mums , brothers and sisters, grandparents, young people and a teenager. Despite the varied age ranges we were all able to find something to keep us occupied - from playing golf, horse riding in the sea at Chukka Cove, Dunns River Falls, swimming in the bio–luminescent waters at Luminous Lagoon at Glistening Waters in Falmouth, having a RedStripe at Flavours whilst watching the local characters working the public beach, the delicious lobster at Sharkies bar. We learned to get around by the very helpful and cheap taxis or squeezing onto the local bus which although already seemed packed would always find room for a few more. Sevilla Villa is a truly memorable place to stay which made the holiday just perfect. I have so much to say but cannot fit it all in...I would recommend this villa to anyone contemplating a holiday in Runaway Bay.Response from Clare - 04/11/2013

I found this incredible villa on Trip adviser and immediately began corresponding with the owner who was so personable and helpful the entire time. No matter how many times I e-mailed her she was so responsive. Really, Clare and her staff were incredible! My husband was turning 40 and wanted to return to Jamaica for his birthday, and we took 10 friends to Runaway Bay. Talk about relaxing, gorgeous, tranquil, you name it! The cook, Miss Monica was a dream and had meals prepared for us each morning and evening (I am getting hungry now just thinking about her and the food). We will be returning next year and our party is already asking about Clare's villa. She was a dream! The villa was clean, accessible to everything, quiet, beautiful, relaxing, and best of all, came with a cook! We will definitely return! We love Clare!

We were a group of 10 of us staying at the Sevilla Villa over the Christmas holiday. We arrived at Montego Bay airport and were picked up by a driver with a mini bus arranged through Clare the owner of the villa. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Clare and I felt at ease and welcomed.
The Villa is located in Runaway Bay, with four rooms and the swimming pool being the centre point of the villa. I stayed in room one at the villa and every morning I woke up with pure fulfilment being able to dip my feet in the pool and then from the balcony take in the views of the golf course, with a glimpse of the ocean in the distance.
The villa was well looked after and Paulette- the maid ensured all our rooms were clean and provided with clean towels daily. Furthermore any issues we had, Clare was quick to respond and made sure they were looked into as soon as possible.
Clare was also on hand to suggest and direct us to tourist attractions. I and another person staying at the Villa were particularly keen on experiencing the nightlife of Jamaica and we took Clare’s advice on places to go and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!
Miss Monica the cook at the villa embraced such warmth and always had a smile on her face. She provided us with Jamaican meals a few times during our stay there and the food was absolutely divine. She even provided us with a feast to tuck into on Christmas day and have to say that Miss Monica just topped off my Christmas – best so far! The only downfall was that we did not have time to sample her breakfast.
Our time at the Sevilla hotel was a holiday I will not forget and this was all thanks to Clare, Paulette, Miss Monica and not forgetting Rallin the Gardener, who also made sure the pool was clean every day. I and the rest of us would definitely stay at the villa again.

We just got back from a brilliant week in Jamaica where we stayed at the lovely Sevilla Villa. We traveled as a family of 8, consisting of one year old twins, a three year old, a six year old, a senior, and 3 adults.
Because I know Claire will be reading all the reviews, and every voice counts. I want to extend an additional thank you to the staff, Monica, Rallin, and Paulette who took great care of us. Claire and her daughter Rosey were wonderful hosts as well. You guys all did a great job and our whole family thanks you for a comforting and wonderful holiday.
The journey there was nothing short of an adventure, seeing as we drove ourselves from the Kingston Manley airport. Seemed like a good idea at the time, we have family in Kingston and welcomed the challenge. The drive was a challenge to say the least, and when we arrived at the villa, Rallin had to chase us down because we couldn't find the address. That's my only note, they need better street signage on the front entrance. Right away I was impressed with Rallin's ability to sprint down the street in bare feet on the pavement. I was getting shin splints just watching him, I had to throw an extra Canadian $5 on top of the regular tip just because.
Claire was a generous host, she made sure that all our needs were looked after. Anything we wanted moved or had suggestions about was looked after in a timely manner. She had just recently installed a safety barrier around the pool so all the kids were safe to run and play as children will do. The twins, in their one year old wisdom would get into anything and everything that baby could. Apart from it being a big padded room, or a bouncy castle, the villa felt very safe for all the kids, although we kept a close eye on them (as any parent would) we felt very comfortable they could play around without any life threatening danger.
The rooms were spacious and clean. Claire had just finished some renovations and updates to the building. There was aC in all the rooms. The beds were all king sized and to my liking. The pool was clean and fresh. Monica the cook was so wonderful and I just can't say enough good about her. The wifi came in handy every day for Skyping people. The beach was close by, private, and quite. The beach is a walk away but we chose to drive there, the kids absolutely loved the beach, almost as much as the pool. I really enjoyed my time at Sevilla Villa, and I really cannot find anything negative to say about it.
If you are not familiar with Jamaica I would recommend you let Claire pick you up from the Montego Bay airport, and drive you to the villa, you will avoid the whole address confusion thing.Response from Clare - 12/04/2012

The photos for this villa look a little too good to be true, but when we arrived it became obvious that they are a true representation. Spacious, clean, perfect for relaxing and with lovely views, it suited us and what we were looking for in our holiday. Clare, the owner who lives next door, was very attentive and constantly concerned that we were having a good holiday. Miss Monica, the cook, was superb and fitted in with our requirements and somewhat chaotic planning without any fuss. Whilst Runaway Bay is not an obvious destination, for a holiday where you want to get out and about it is located in between most of the big tourist spots. You can reach Montego Bay in an hour, Ocho Rios in half an hour and that takes in many attractions including Dunns River, Dolphin Cove, White Water Valley, Cranbrook, Rose Hall, the Caves (just down the road, Sevilla Great House, Bob Marley's birthplace (Nine Mile), the Ruins Falls, Margeuritaville and so on.Taxis were convenient and good value and Runaway bay is as safe as any UK town to walk about. Make sure you include at least one visit to Sharkie's whilst you are there - a beach bar and restaurant that serves delicious fresh fish, lobster and shrimps. We had a wonderful time and will go back again.

I have to start by saying thank you sooo much Clare for you hospitality and never leaving us in the cold. She was the perfect hostess and was available at any hour even taking me to the store, ATM, even as far as driving me to the beach so I knew how to get there. Clare's home is perfect updated and comfortable. Paulette and Rollins do a great job. Rollins thanks for the mango's and especially the roasted breadfruit and late night treat treats. Ms. Monica the food was delish. One thing if you have children under 7 you really have to watch them with the pool,(wer braught 4 of ours) its very close to the quarters. I would definitely stay there again. Ps I found them on www.trip advisor.com. Clare got back to me the same night that I requested availability which was needed the next afternoon and she was more than able to oblige with extreme short notice. Thank you. Jasmine Ga. Usa

The villa is amazing! The house is made around the pool which makes it very convenient for swimmers and non-swimmers. There are 4 bedrooms, 3 around the pool. Rooms have air-conditioning and the villa is tastefully done up. There is also wifi and a TV in the villa! Ms. Monica, the cook is a delightful woman and Ms. Clare, the owner of the villa is very helpful. Ms. Clare helps you figure out groceries and transportation which makes the stay very relaxing. The villa is a 10 minute walk to the beach, through a golf course. 5 minutes walk from the beach along the water is a private beach! We went as a group of 9 and had the most amazing week. Would definitely recommend this villa to another group. It is perfect for couples, friends and even college students!

12 of us stayed - I booked on the internet and booked flights through Thompson. Throughout the booking - Claire who owns the villa was brilliant - she booked transfers to and from the airport and while we were in Runaway Bay she recommended day trips and restaurants for our evenings.
The villa had 4 bedrooms - we had two extra beds bought in for our children - which was still fine - plenty of room. The pool is right outside the bedroom and was well used by all of us! The villa had a few quirks (doors locking, toliet blocked one day)- but nothing that spoiled the holiday and Claire was always only a phone call away if we needed help (in fact she lent us her local phone so we could get hold of her if we needed). The villa overlooks a beautiful golf course and then down to the beach.
The beach is about a 10 min walk - the villa has access to a private beach for the residents of Cardiff Bay (which is where the villa is) - and was gorgeous.
When we booked days out - we hired a driver for the day or for a few hours - depending on where we were going - the only downside is that there aren't many places to eat within walking distance - we stayed for two weeks and were struggling to find different places to go, towards the end. Also negotiate hard with the drivers - on the way into Runaway Bay we paid $240 from Montego and on the way home we paid $160 for the same trip! Food and drink isn't cheap - same price as back home - and the tourist attractions are pricey as well.
Claire has a cook and a cleaner who come in daily - and basically do whatever you need. We used the cook for breakfast a couple of times - but actually found she was better at traditional Jamician fayre and stuggled a bit with English breakfast.
I would thoroughly recommend a family holiday at Sevilla - take plenty of books to read and enjoy the peace, the pool and the beach. -

This villa is situated in a wonderful elevated position overlooking the golf course with a glimpse of the ocean beyond. The pool forms the 'hub' of the villa, and becomes the central focus of villa activity. The pool is a perfect temperature - cool enough to refresh, but warm enough to wallow in and have a sundowner! The villa owner, Clare, is very hospitable and does everything to help make your stay enjoyable.
It is an ideal venue for a party of golfers: the course is accessed from a gate in the back garden and the clubhouse is about 5 minutes walk away (there is a facility to leave clubs at the clubhouse), and when you are at the villa you can while away time watching other golfers tee off from the vantage point over the 8th tee.
The only reason we didn't give it the '5th star' on location is that the choice of local restaurants is limited, but taxis can be arranged to Ocho Rios where there is abundant dining choice. The resident cook is very capable and creative with the ingredients you give her, so dining in is a good option.
We were a party of golfers, but we would think this villa would work equally well for a family. -

We were a party of 12 people staying at the villa for a week. The villa was wonderful and bigger than we expected. When we arrived Clare and the staff were there to greet us. Everyone was very helpfully and kind and ensured all our needs were met. The location provides a great view. There are local amenities, which makes is easy for self catering stay. It's close to the beech and night life, while also given you the option of relaxing and enjoying the surroundings.
All of us agreed we would stay at the villa again, I have already made recommendations to friends.
If you are looking for s place to stay in Jamaica contact Clare at the Villa. I am sure you will have a great time.

The Villa was a fantastic experience from start to Finnish, beautiful pool and bedrooms with a fantastic view across the golf course. The food cooked by ms Monica was also delicious and the only downside is the fact im now back home in cold England. Would defiantly recommend to anyone thinking about staying in the runaway bay area.

capable cook who will prepare meals.
You feel totally secure as there is extra security
at night.
The house sits on the golf course, The pool is
superb
and the beach about 1 kilometre . Well within
walking distance.
The renovations are superb (this was my second
stay)
and once the problems with satellite television
are worked out, you wont want to leave this Caribbean jewel.
Take boardgames and cards, there are plenty of
