We stayed at the Garden Suite (cottage) at this B&B; for 3 nights, and found it comfortable and enjoyed sitting on the verandah and eating alfresco in its small private garden. The larger surrounding garden was charming, and fresh cut flowers through out the house added appeal. Marilyn was a a creative cook and her breakfasts featured home made bread and muffins, and some interesting egg dishes. On arrival we were warmly greeted and offered a cool drink and cake.

We spent 5 nights staying in the garden suite of this fantastic B&B;, situated 10 minutes stroll from Russell. I can honestly say it was one of the best B&Bs; we have stayed in, if not the best.
The room was immaculate and had everything that you needed and more. The breakfasts were to die for, not the place to stay if you want to lose weight!!
Marilyn's patchwork quilts were truely inspirational. I would reccommend this B&B; to anyone without hesitation. Thank you for a wonderful stay. -

We stayed in the cottage and my parents stayed in the garden suite. The cottage was spacious which was great because it rained almost the whole time we were there and our 18 month old had lots of room to explore. We put breakables out of his reach and he loved being there. The rooms were lovely as was the bathroom. The decor is dated but this didn't bother me.All in all it was a great family holiday. My parents loved the garden suite and the breakfast that came included. Great value for money in Russell.

How do you find a self contained apartment, that is also a B&B;? Go to Ounuwhao Harding House just 1 minute drive from Russell shops.
We booked the 'cottage' which turns out to be a small 2 BR house! Each morning we strolled through the beautiful yet simple gardens to the main house for a sensational full homemade breakfast. A gourmet cooked meal plus (all home made) muesli, fruit, flavoured breads/toast with a range of jams, baked buns and muffins, juice, tea, hot chocoloate. We never left the table hungry!
The cottage has it's own driveway and is a 10-15 minute 1km flat stroll into Russell. Perfect for after a restaurant meal...or just drive for 1 minute.
Everything was clean and neat. Kitchen, laundry, dual bathrooms, lounge, dining, etc. Tv with DVD player and Dvds. Books, magazines, and games.
Wireless Internet at the main house worked perfectly. Sit in the magnificent guests lounge with 12 foot ceilings and great surrounds.
A wonderful, relaxing place. Marilyn is extremely helpful, supplying info, maps and tips.
Would we go there again? Yes! -

"Such a Treat!”
Date of review: Mar 23, 2009
Staying with Marilyn really was a treat from beginning to end. Everthing about your stay there is thoroughly thought through and delivered with such a sense of luxury. I love the home baking and this greets you when you arrive, as well as being spoilt by the most delicious breakfasts - where there really is something for everyone - delicious. Over breakfast Marilyn helps you to plan and decide on the best activities to do and things to see during the day - and will make bookings on your behalf. It is also just the quickest of walks into Russell township, which again is delightful. The house is just gorgeous with such attention to detail and a love for things handcrafted, and much much more.
Thank you Marilyn.
