We arranged to rent Blue Oasis during the Christmas to New Year week, and so set our plans in motion nearly a year in advance. From that point onward I knew we were in great hands. Debra (the owner) was absolutely determined to ensure our every question was answered and needs were met. Blue Oasis is a gorgeous home, set on the hillside above the one of the most beautiful views in the world was fabulous in every way. A superbly well appointed kitchen meant no need to go out, so we barbequed most nights and enjoyed brewing our own delicious coffee each morning. We were four adults and two children (ages 9-13) and the home was large enough to provide us all with private spaces to spread out and the spaces were substantial enough to allow us to spend time together comfortably. The numerous and perfectly situated balconies were our favourite part! Russell satisfied our need for beautiful scenery, physical activity and cultural experiences. Highly recommend this property. We will definitely be back! (Should note that guests with limited mobility would need to drive everywhere as the long hill leading to the house would be prohibitively steep for walking).

Spectacular!! If I had to use one word to describe 'Blue Oasis" and it's location in Russell (Bay of Islands), it would be spectacular!!
My husband and I, along with a family of six from the USa, rented 'Blue Oasis' for a week just after the New Year holidays. Our main concerns were that we wanted to be close to a beach, have a nice view and a house big enough to accommodate all of us comfortably...'Blue Oasis' more than fit that bill. The house is made up of three levels with the main/top level the common and entertainment areas. The kitchen was huge and had every single thing a chef could possibly want or need to use to cook either a simple or gourmet meal.Between the dining room, lounge and outdoor terrace overlooking the islands and beach below, we had plenty of room to spread out and entertain guests each evening. The two additional levels below were made up of bedrooms, bathrooms, the laundry and TV/movie room. Again, all rooms had incredible views overlooking the sea, islands and beach. It was a two minute drive to the beach (or you could walk if you were feeling fit) and a 15 minute walk into the township of Russell itself. To be honest, we loved the house so much we hardly left. One could sit on the terrace for hours watching all the goings-on with a glass of vino or cider endlessly. If you are coming to the Bay of Islands, you absolutely must stay at 'Blue oasis'...you will not be sorry and and will leave having fallen in love with the area wanting to come back time after time. We are definitely hooked!! A big 'thank you' goes out to the owners who were extremely friendly and accommodating throughout our stay as well. Their attention to detail was exceptional and nothing was forgotten or not provided for while we stayed at the house. An exceptional experience, not to be forgotten!!

The house has views from every room that are breath taking making one feel like they are transcended to a blissful state of mind. The abode is cozy and has a magical ambiance calling us back for more relaxation and to make more memories. We will return since once is not enough!!!

Blue Oasis provided views to die for, 5 star accommodation and a home well equipped with all those extras from board games to boogie boards to bikes, WiFi to wine (to buy) to a walk-in pantry! These are just a few of the things one appreciates.
Drawbacks? A steep climb back from your walk or run (but that's good for fitness) and too few seats in the lounge if you have a group over 6, unless you're comfy on the ottoman.
All in all those are not worth worrying about too much as there is such a relaxing holiday feel about the whole beautiful house. -

The house is amazing. We only used one bedroom but the others are gorgeous and spacious. We fell asleep to the sound of waves crashing on the beach and the moon reflecting off the water. The views from the house are amazing. You can see dolphins in the distance and watch boats of all sizes and shapes. There is a peaceful path down to a deck where you can decompress if the three at the house aren't enough. The town of Russell is small but there is plenty both there and nearby. The beach below the house is great for swimming or walking. This was by far the best vacation ever. It was also our honeymoon. A memory we will cherish forever!!

As a group of 8 we were looking for a house with privacy, position, elegance and somewhere we could relax. Blue Oasis provided all of this and more. It was very, very hard to leave and rejoin mainstream life.
Our whole experience from dealing with Debra and her agents in Russell, to the check in, to actually staying was flawless.
The home is fully equipped and everything has been thought of to provide such a unique holiday experience.
The location is world class as your daily view is of the magnificent Bay of Islands from high up on a hillside.
We want to keep this destination a secret so only we can enjoy it but that would be totally unfair to anyone else desiring a break away that will leave you totally relaxed.

We stayed here with family for 4 nights for my dad's 60th birthday. The property managers were extremely helpful and the house was fantastic value compared with other properties in the area. The house itself was immaculate, very well presented and had all the facilities we needed. The views were stunning and we had great weather for most of the time. We would definitely recommend this property.
