Couldn't have wished for a better place to stay - views of the sea from each bedroom, modern and luxurious accommodation and sound of waves as you sleep. Bliss!!! Every mod con in kitchen. Loved sitting in hot tub with glass of wine looking out to bay.

Cloud 9 is nestled in a private gated complex above Long Beach. It's easy to find and just a 3 minute drive from Russell township.
Park the car in front of the large double garage, then enter through the solid wooden door to a stunning interior - all windows and light and fabulous views. At this level there is a separate lounge and a large bedroom with ensuite, with views out to the pool and ocean. Up one step to the next level for two additional bedrooms (both with sea views) which share a full bathroom with bath and separate shower. This area would be great for children with a nanny maybe, as the children could be separate from the adult areas in the evening. Then down 2 steps to the large open plan kitchen, dining lounge area and sweeping views over the Bay of Islands. Walk out onto the large balcony with table and chairs set up for those balmy evenings. The views are just stunning. Out the side door to a 5 person Spa and the beautiful infinity pool. We made use of the spa with a bottle of bubbly and just watched nightfall over the bays. No one could look in on us - absolutely, totally private.
A flight of stairs takes you down to the very large master bedroom, with a separate dressing room with robes and slippers, and large ensuite with double shower, double basins, L'Occitane toiletries, plenty of top quality towels, and hairdryer. This room has King size bed with quality linen, a large white leather sofa and floor to ceiling windows and doors opening out onto your own private deck. You can sleep with these doors open and listen to the lapping waves from Long Beach just below.
Whereever you sit outdoors at Cloud 9 you cannot be overlooked - it's pretty special. Except for the paraglider who came whizzing past at deck level - very exciting! -

Seems like the best location in Russell. True, it is at the top of the hills surronding Russell which means it is a few minutes drive into town, but it overlooks the township one way and the Pacific on the other, and the view compensates for any slight inconvenience. Clean, airy and spacious, it was the perfect sanctuary for a break from work.

Lovely villa, nicely appointed and great space to relax with friends. Love the lounge/kitchen/balcony and pool area being almost one space, so light and airy. The location and view is spectacular and very handy for town too. We had a lovely stay. My only gripes are the master bedroom downstairs which seems disconnected to rest of the house, although private, seemed a little cold and damp. Check out time of ten is too early for a luxury villa.

We stayed with our 2 adult sons and their wives/partners last summer. Cloud 9's on a ridge top above Russell township and has magnificent stunning views on both sides. Way nicer than Paihia.
A quality home well fitted out with a cooling off pool.
A memorable holiday place to treat family or friends.

we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cloud 9.
our travelling party was two families consisting of 5 kids in total, the pool was a major plus because if you dont have a car the beach is a hard walk for small children,
we used all the facilities at Cloud 9 including the bbq and washing machine and all were suitable, The aC unit in the back living room was not working which was tricky as we were in the summer months but apart from that we cant fault the communication service from the hosts and the location
we love new Zealand

Albury/WodongaWonderful house, magnificent views, relaxing holiday
Left on 06/11/2011 for a stay in December 2010
I did a great deal of research to find a house that would accommodate my children from 17 to 25 and my parents in their 70's, where we could spend a week together in lovely surroundings, where all our needs would be met for a relaxing holiday in New Zealand.
This house worked very well for us. It was well designed, magnificent views, great kitchen and appliances, lap pool with a view and a large balcony overlooking the ocean where we ate most meals.
It was walking distance into town but a big uphill climb back. We ate some great meals out but were very happy eating at the house as well. We spent time on the beach, went for walks, had a great day out sailing and explored locally. It's a ferry trip over from the mainland so you have to keep that in mind if you are wanting to spend many days over there.
It was easy to book on-line and well managed.
