What a fun get away we all had, Woodland Hideaway was exactly what we were looking for. Two bedrooms each with a private bathroom is perfect for two couples and very affordable. Plenty of elbow room on the property with the porch/firepit/seven burner bbq in front and the porch/hot tub in the back. A lot of thought has been put into the restoration of the home and the kitchen has everything you need. The staff is very nice including the grounds keeper who takes pride in the property. The only cons (which aren't any big deal) would be the beds are small and the driveway is very small which makes it a challenge to get two full size trucks in and out of the property. All four (actually seven including the dogs) of us decided we will make this an annual trip. Read more

We loved our stay here. It is a very comfortable home, with a feeling that you are far away from it all, and yet you are close to everything you need. There is alot of attention to detail and the property seems very well thought out. The kitchen is updated and well-equiped, which we appreciated, as we made our Thanksgiving dinner there! Our dogs loved it too! There is plenty to sniff and explore on the property and it is mostly fenced in. We would definitely return!

We really enjoyed our week getting to know the Guerneville area and Woodland Hideaway was the perfect home base. The house was very comfortable and clean. The automatic fireplace in the living room kept the house warm and cozy. We especially enjoyed the firepit under the stars and the hot tub of course.I would recommend this place for a great week or weekend getaway! Read more

Pros: Check in was easy. The house is surrounded by tall redwoods, a garden with a hammock and vineyards and a lovely raised fish pond. There is a fire pit and adirondack chairs to take in the view. There is a huge porch with comfy chairs and couchers. The house is decorated with unique historical pieces and very cozy. The bathrooms were clean and well lit. It is a very short walk to downtown Guerneville and the river.
Cons: No cell reception. Way too much potpourri (I am sensitive to strong smells), you need to have written permission to have any guests come over during the day (with risk of a hefty fine) and for sleeping only 4 adults, there is literally seating for 20+ people, the pool across the street can be a bit noisy Read more
There are many places in the River area where the only cell reception is Verizon. AT&T is spotty to non-existent everywhere but downtown Guerneville. There is nothing we can do about that, unfortunately, but we hear that AT&T is going to put a new tower here eventually. We're keeping our fingers crossed. We're glad you enjoyed your stay at Woodland Hideaway and will come back again! Russian River Getaways

I am originally from the the low mountains of Pennsylvania. I grew up respecting nature and the allegheny river. The only problem there was cold cold winters and small tight closets. This place was sole healing. The first thing I did was grab a hand full of the rich earth and smell the wonderful aroma of good dirt. The people everywhere were friendly and accepting. This house was a perfect fit I wish if was for sale.
I know in my heart that I will live there someday.
My journey has begun. I will e back and rent this place again.

This is the second Christmas vacations we've spent at Woodland Hideaways and like the first time, we loved it (They even decorate for you which is a very nice touch). The house very comfortable and charming. We love the Hot tub and the privacy of the inclosed grounds our dog is a very happy puppy ! I had trouble sleeping in the room with the Deam sign over the bed, the bed is really to soft but there was the option of the other bedroom and that mattress was perfection, the rest of our stay I slept there. I cant wait to return to WoodLand Hideaways for our next Holiday Vacation !
Thank you for providing excellent homes at Russian River Getaways this is out 5 time using you and we're already booked for June !
We love hearing about a great stay like this. We're so glad you had a good experience with us and with the house. We're very happy to be having you back! -rkl

The house was very nice overall. The kitchen was clean and well-equipped. Furnishings in the living room and bedrooms were comfortable. My only gripe is the malfunctioning wireless internet connection. In spite of resetting the device per instructions left in the house, the wireless router never worked. That was a tad annoying since we wanted to stay connected while we were on our long weekend. Read more
Glad these folks enjoyed the house. The wireless was malfunctioning, but since they didn't call us, we didn't discover it until after they left. The router has been replaced and is working fine now. Moral of story: Call us so we can fix the problem! -rkl

I was most impressed by the beautiful outdoor spaces. The weather was warm and gorgeous the week we were there, and the house has several comfortable places to hang out outdoors -- a comfortable hammock next to the vineyard, a front porch with ceiling fans, a back deck for outdoor meals, a hot tub with lounge chairs. It was difficult to leave in the mornings! The house itself is very comfortable -- comfy couches in the living room, a nice kitchen with everything you need. Loved it. Absolutely no complaints with the place.

The house was amazing! Really close to town and river. We Hung out on the patio all day and night. We didn't even use all parts if the house. The only thing that was a little stressful which u don't want on vacation is the check fees and rules. I'm not a morning person so to have checked out and everyhing by eleven am was not so fun. As s suggestion noon would have made a big difference. Anyway I loved the house and will want to stay with you again. Read more
We're so glad these guests liked ths house so much. We have a check-out time that allows enough time to clean the house between bookings, as we like our homes to be extra clean for our guests. If we moved the check-out to later, we would also have to move the check-in to later. This guest might not mind that, but there are plenty who would! -rkl

The only thing missing is a river view. The house is big and comfortable (3 bathrooms!!!) Kitchen is great, has everything you need. The grounds are completely fenced in and private, our dogs loved it. Lots of trees and comfortable chairs around the firepit. The location is nice, a five minute walk to downtown Guerneville, but is still quiet.
A real lot of thought clearly went into this unit as a living space/rental unit, and it shows. Well maintained too.
My only negatives were slight: we had trouble spotting the driveway, maybe painting something identifiable on the fence (for example, a cow or rooster) and I couldn't figure out how to up the temp on the hot tub.
We'll definitely stay here again! Read more
We're so glad this guest enjoyed Woodland; it is a beautiful house. We'll pass on the suggestion to mark the driveway better to the owner. For a future stay, if there is any trouble with the hot tub at one of our properties, calling the number on the hot tub rules flyer posted at the house is the way to resolve it.

We loved this place and would definitely come back. It felt like a home that the owners really love and that we were being 'entrusted' with it. Woodland Hideaway has many nice details, comfortable furnishings, and attention to details to make the experience of just relaxing, sitting in the hot tub talking, listening to music on the deck, or cooking and dining al fresco there enjoyable. If we had known how fun and wonderful it would be to just hang out at the house, we wouldn't have made so many plans to be out and about. We'll be back!

We had a very nice time staying at Woodland Hideaway. The house is nicely decorated & the view surrounding the property is gorgeous.everything is close by, Armstrong Woods, the Ocean, the river & plenty of cafes & shops. The only issue was that the people that left the same day we arrived left late & did not allow the cleaning staff to clean thoroughly. The kitchen floor was very dirty as well as the bathroom rugs. all our towels were left in the dryer for us to fold when we checked in. I called the office & they did refund 1/3 of our cleaning charge. Also there is an ironing board but no iron. All in all we would stay there again. We have stayed at other Russian River Getaway properties and will continue to book with them.

This is the perfect get away house for those who want to relax with friends, hang out by the jacuzzi, grill steaks and vege's on the nice bbq and sip that incredible bottle of Pinot Noir. My husband and I came up with one other couple and thoroughly enjoyed the house and all the amenities including the outdoor fire pit. This is a very comfortable home with nice mattresses and newly remodeled bathrooms. The owners have gone to huge efforts to provide all kinds of amenities, instructions and details. The only thing missing in the house is a dishwasher...hint! hint!

Woodland Hideaway was PERFECT in every way. Wish we could have stayed the additional free night on sunday but we had to get back for work.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will most definitely return at some point. It is perfectly appointed inside and out. The lighting outside at night was delightful. We were never able to locate the washer/dryer so might be helpful to point out the location.
Parking was a bit of an issue as we had people coming and going but also, part of the charm of the location so not a real draw-back.
And, Christine the psychic was fantastic.

While the home was a little difficult to find--it is definitely hidden away--when we arrived we found just what we were looking for. The property had more bathrooms than expected (3) and the kitchen was nicely appointed. We brought many things with us that we didn't need to unpack! The grounds are very private, but we felt they were a little jungle like. The plants were beautiful but we felt a bit overwhelmed by them. Otherwise, we very much enjoyed our stay and will always remember our charming cottage in the woods!

Loved the location and the surrounding trees. This home has a very well stocked and usable kitchen--the best out of all our RRG rentals over the years. For example, I brought my own sponge and dishsoap since other rentals omit these items, but this house had both. Great stock of dishware and utensils. I also appreciated the bathrooms, they are heated, with back up shampoos, soaps and TP. A nice variety of movies to watch for all ages, and games available. Great hot tub, we used it once due to weather. Nothing negative here...the Xmas tree was thoughtful, a bit ostentatious, and I prefered the gorgeous view in back of it, but a very small detail. Without hesitation I would recommend Woodland Hideaway.

We shared this house with another couple for four nights and it was truly a great place to stay. The kitchen was big and had a nice size living room. We really enjoyed our stay in Guerneville. This house has the perfect location. Easy walk to town, but feels completely secluded. All the vegetation was amazing. Made the yard feel much larger. The hottub is very large and nice. Bedrooms and bathrooms were a nice size and clean. Loved eating dinner on the porch. The neighbors were very friendly and invited us to their annually block party.
Read the directions when trying to find the house, it helps.

I'd love to give this place a poor review, but only to make sure that it's available the next time I come to town. I had the pleasure of eating fresh plums as they fell from the trees, a fresh lemon from one of the lemon trees, and a couple of fresh Romas for some pasta. The grill area, with its top-of-the-line gas grill, counter tops, and outdoor sink was great. The owner even supplied TWO tanks of propane to make sure I was set for my stay. It was very clean, well decorated, and the entire property was very well thought out. I even got to watch a meteor shower while relaxing in the hot tub and listening to tunes from the iPod dock in the living room. It is a very short walk to downtown or the river, yet you feel completely secluded in the yard. This place is perfect, and I can't thank the owner(s) and Russian River Getaways enough for a wonderful stay!

My husband and his brother just spent a wonderful long weekend at Woodland Hideaway and loved every minute. We initially had a little trouble finding the place as it truly is a hideaway, but after a couple of wrong turns we found the driveway and quickly settled in. Aside from being able to see the corner of the nearby house the property is completely secluded and peaceful. The house has clearly been looked after and the documentation in the house is fantastically detailed. I?ll be honest; we didn?t read the documentation until the day before we left. This is a shame because it has some great information inside. The Woodland Hideaway property will be on my shortlist for my return visit.
