This detached house on the north coast of the Isle of Wight sleeps six people in three bedrooms. Green Corner is a modern detached holiday home in the Parish of Fishbourne on the banks of Wootton Creek, which runs into the Solent. This light and airy holiday cottage has been decorated and furnished to an exceptional standard, and offers accommodation including three bedrooms – the master commands wonderful views across the Solent; kitchen with breakfast bar; dining room, and a pleasant conservatory that overlooks the pretty garden which attracts an abundance of wildlife including birds and red squirrels. The coastal path is close by,... as are more family friendly attractions including the island's beautiful countryside, chocolate-box villages, historic houses, and stunning coastline.

Amenities: Gas central heating with underfloor heating in bathroom, gas wall heaters downstairs & gas fire in sitting room. Electric double oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, 2nd fridge in utility room, washing machine & tumble dryer in utility room, dishwasher, 2 x TVs with FreeSat, DVD, stereo/CD, library of books and games. Fuel & power inc. in rent. Bed linen & towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 3 cars. Large lawned rear garden leading to sea wall. Patio at rear & at front with furniture & BBQ. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 1 mile, pub 2 mins. Note: Wightlink ferry terminal just across creek from garden. Note: Drop down from garden wall to shingle beach below, caution required with young children.

Region: The Isle of Wight, with its beaches, unspoiled scenery, rich heritage and over 500 miles of award-winning public footpaths is a walker’s paradise, or if sailing is your thing, the renowned annual Cowes Week is not to be missed.

Town: The little parish of Fishbourne is situated approximately one mile from Wootton Bridge and just three miles from the picturesque seaside resort of Ryde. This friendly community is located on the banks of Wootton Creek, which is a popular mooring for yachtsmen. Visitors can also embark the Wightlink Portsmouth Ferry from here. The parish has an excellent pub, a shingle beach that can be accessed at low tide for paddling and fishing, and The Isle of Wight coastal path passes through the community. There is plenty for visitors to experience in this area, including the Isle of Wight Steam Railway, Queen Victoria's Osborne House, Quarr Abbey, Brickfields Horse Country, and Robin Hill Adventure Park. All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  Great Isle Of Wight Holiday

  We know the I.O.W. very well as family had lived here for over 20 years so returning for a holiday with our family was going to be nostalgic ,the house was a1+++ ,location garden and accommadation car parking children freindly.the only thing that concerned us was the steps down to the bottom of the garden we think a small fence with a gate would be good. as ou 2 year old grandson wanted to walk down on his own, however he loved watching the ferries come in at the bottom of the garden. It was a good base to visit the island and will be back for another holiday soon we hope

  A very friendly welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely to be able to sit and relax watching the ferries docking and loading/unloading.

  Home away from home.

  We were welcomed with smiles, and the owners were very understanding of our adult childrens concern of remaining in touch with there friends while abroad. The house was comfortable and we easily addapted to the environment. Since we had a great deal of family to reconect with the house easily accomadated having dinner parties that had all the family comfortable and at ease. It was especially lovely to tell my mother-in-law that we were near Rose Cottage where she spent her teenage years. The house was clean and very well equipped.

  We were made very welcome by the owners. The house was obviously recently lived in by the owners and we were made to feel as their guests. It was fully equipped with washing/drying machines/dish washer/sky TV/Masses of DVD's and CD's and best of all a store of children's toys, much to the delight of our grand daughter. The location was perfect with a beach at the bottom of the garden and more a short walk away. A plentiful supply of bird nuts & seed was provided to ensure a steady display of finches, blue tits etc and vists from the local red squirrals. A rare treat.
  All this is topped off by superb views across the Solent.
  The Portsmouth/Fishbourne ferry was close by and came in every 15-20 minutes but did not really intrude.
  All in all it cannot be faulted
