This is a holiday experience that every nature lover will enjoy. It's quiet and you will find yourself totally immersed in the lives of the beautiful pheasants and the antics of the little Red Squirrels who play and eat nut in the small fruit tree right outside your window.
The actual Chalet is just beautiful, offering all the essentials - and some more.
The owners are there for you if ever you need them, but leave you alone to enjoy yourself.
We just loved the place, and look forward to returning, as soon as we possibly can.
Far from the madding crowd!

We had a lovely stay here for a week in the summer - not that there was a lot of summer about! We chose this cottage because of its rural location but central(ish) to the island. In fact we thought the location was absolutely perfect. Not especially easy to find, being up a long quiet lane but well worth the effort. The owner's house is next to the cottage and is entirely secluded.
We particularly enjoyed the fact that the cottage was visited by red squirrrels every day and in fact we were sometimes woken up by them scampering across the roof to get at the peanut holders that were so thoughtfully provided by the owner.
The cottage had everything you could need by way of kitchen equipment and bits and pieces - dishwasher tablets, cleaning materials etc.
Should we visit the Isle of Wight again we would try to come here.

We had a wonderful week here, very peaceful setting, very spacious and well equipped cottage in the family grounds? Need to be dog friendly if you visit here as Wilf makes himself known!
Go there, you won't regret it!

Despite a few problems, which we sorted out with the owner, this was a delightful, well situated property, close to Ryde (a much improved town) with its excellent cafes and restaurants. One of the highlights was watching the red squirrels cavorting about in the peaceful garden. We much enjoyed our stay, even though the weather was very wet.

The springs is a great place, gorgeous gardens and lovely interior too.
We had a great time and enjoyed visits from the owners dog (he's harmless to those scared of dogs!)
We went in November which meant that it was a lot cheaper but it also meant that a lot of place we wanted to go to had shut down for the winter (a lot shut on 31st Oct)
I would recommend this place to people looking for a relaxing week to get away from it all!

Our stay at The Springs was absolutely fantastic. The chalet is well-appointed, spotlessly clean, in a quiet and natural setting yet within easy reach of Ryde and the ferries. We sat out each day on the verandah watching red squirrels, rabbits, woodpeckers and kestrels in the garden - 5 red squirrels at once was our record! The owners were very helpful but not at all intrusive. A perfect getaway for two - we'll be back.

Rose Cottage is a lovely cosy cottage set in rural surroundings. It's very spacious and airy and a great place to unwind. We particularly liked the natural light that the cottage benefitted from due to it's thoughtful design.
We were lucky enough to see lots of wildlife during our stay at Rose Cottage.
The owner took great care in ensuring that we had everything we needed, whilst being careful not to intrude on our short break.
Due to the time of year we went, we think that Rose Cottage would benefit from some double glazing. Although the cottage was well insulated we found that a lot of the heat just disappeared out through the windows, thus making it slightly challenging to retain a comfortable ambience on very cold days of winter.

Our hosts were lovely, friendly and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable, but did not intrude.
The cottage was charming and luxurious. Well fitted out with everything you could possibly need. Everything was to a high standard, stylish and very comfortable.
The location was perfect for us. Very pretty surrounding, lovely views, lots of wildlife for interest and so peaceful and quiet. We could relax without being overlooked or bothered by neighbours.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely want to return. Can't think of anything we didn't like. Would highly recommend this place to any couple looking for a quiet getaway with a touch of luxury.

We were welcomedwith a smile and a whole lot of goodies to start off our stay. We were far from the madding crowds but being in the centre of the island we were not too far from anywhere. ON the sunny days the heated pool was most welcome but there was also plenty to do on rainy days. When we go back to the Isle of Wight we would definitely try to go back to the same place

The location, facilities and hospitality at this property is first class.
We stayed here in June and our stay in November was just as enjoyable despite the inclement weather and a cancelled sailing on the way home due to rough seas.
