      sehr zu empfehlen, wunderschöne Panoramablicke

Left on 04/21/2013 for a stay in April 2013

      A Terrific Bed and Breakfast

Left on 01/10/2013 for a stay in December 2012

Nestled up the slopes just above Rosh Pina and at the lower edge of Safed's municipal boundary, the Mahler guest house is highly recommended for those amendable to a more home-like stay rather than a luxury hotel.

The warm and friendly proprietors, Ruthi and avi Mahler, made our short stay in the Northern Galilee simply a delight.

The lower apartment of their house was furnished with bathrooms in each of three room. The beds were comfortable and there was a small kitchen and refrigerator. Upon our arrival, Ruthi kindly provided us milk and a freshly-baked loaf of banana bread, making us feel thoroughly welcomed.

We came to the Mahlers' Guest House mid-evening(my wife, myself and three teenage children)and immediately received great recommendations from them. Avi suggested a place for dinner down in Rosh Pina and since the weather report forecast a break in the rainy winter weather the next day, he suggested we take a trip not only to Safed but also over to the Golan Heights to see the Banias Falls, Nimrod's Castle and, perhaps, even take lunch in a Druze village. He suggested a scenic route along the Naphtali Mountains rimming the west of the Hula Valley. We followed his suggestions and had a wonderful day.

The breakfast that Ruthi provided was terrific. She timed it to when we rose (one morning at 8 am, the other at 6 am). Her breakfasts included Israeli salad, labneh, home-baked bread, home-made kumquat and kiwi jams, delightful Danish-style pancakes and herb-flavored omelet, tea, coffee and juice.

As we were getting ready to depart early Friday morning, Ruthi called our attention to the beautiful sunrise from their back balcony - a sweeping vista of the northern Kinnerit. When our rental car failed to start, Avi helped me to jump the battery.

My only sadness is that our 10-day trip didn't allow for a few more days.

Delightful guesthouse with friendly hosts and exceptional homema

Left on 01/10/2013 for a stay in January 2013

We very much enjoyed our stay at Mahler's Guest House. Ruthi and avi are wonderful, friendly hosts who made us feel right at home. The accommodations were clean and spacious with three comfortable rooms that were more than adequate for our family of four, with reasonable family rates. Fully equipped kitchen available for those who wish to to cook. The neighborhood is nice with great views over the surrounding valley and the Sea of Galilee. Ruthi's homemade breakfast is fantastic, with a variety of local and Danish delectable items that you can choose and will not finish.Nearby are natural and historic sights worth seeing such as Banias Falls, Nimrod Fortress, bird sanctuaries, art market and great outdoor fish restaurant by a stream. Ruthi and avi will provide directions and guidance. We could not do all with a two-night stay. Highly recommended for all, singles, couples, small group and especially families. We would return.

We had our family of 15 - four couples and seven grandchildren - and it could not have been a more perfect place for us! Avi and Ruthi are amazingly warm and welcoming. Each breakfast was another to remember - all made by Ruthi, all delicious! She even did laundry for our families with children. Lovely views. Close to a number of good restaurants. Short drive to must-see sights around Sea of Galilee.

The perfect place to stay in Galilee

Left on 11/03/2012 for a stay in October 2012

This B&B; was great to explore the Galilee and Golan Heights regions. The Mahlers are very warm and welcoming hosts. They were very helpful in helping us plan our day trips, with a well of information to discover the region but also decipher its cultural aspects.

The amenities were comfortable but the highlight was definitely the breakfast, an amazing array of local dishes, all homemade, down to the bread and jam. It felt like visiting family...

A big thank you to Ruthi and avi for their great hosting and interesting insight!! We'll definitely keep in touch.

If you are looking for the opportunity to stay in your own private accommodations in an Israeli home, this is a wonderful choice! Ruthi and avi are wonderful hosts, prepare an amazing breakfast, and happily provide advice on what to see and do. We were two families of four traveling together and we had plenty of space and bathrooms for all of us. We loved the chance to get a glimpse of Israeli life and shared lovely chats with Ruth and avi. Thank you both for taking good care of all eight of us!

The owners made you feel like you were visiting family. They had coupon books and lots of wonderful suggestions on what to see and do everyday in the area! They even had board games for the kids to play in the evening! A place well worth the cost!

      A home away from home

Left on 05/26/2011 for a stay in April 2011

We stayed at Mahler's Guesthouse with our extended family (3 kids, 5 adults) for a 3 night stay over Pesach.
The guesthouse is comfortable and we liked that it has plenty of space (a fully equipped kitchen and meals area and separate lounge/dining room). It is in a great location for touring the North of Israel. The highlight of our stay was meeting the owners of the guesthouse, who are lovely, and very helpful. The other highlight was the delicious home-made breakfasts prepared for us each day.

Left on 05/25/2010 for a stay in May 2010

The Mahlers are great hosts, we were treated as friends not just guests in their house.

The room we were in had a stunning view of the Sea of Galilee. At night we could see the lights of Tiberias. The pictures on the web site of the house are very accurate.

The food was outstanding, lots to eat, all homemade and homebaked bread every morning.

Avi & Ruti Mahler are exceptional warm hosts who made us feel very welcome - the rooms are clean comfortable and there was everything we needed including tea, coffee, and all necessities. - Ruti and Avi make a breakfast that would satisfy a King - including freshly baked bread, home made jam and condiments from their own garden. The location is very central and touring sites can be reached within a short time span.
One cannot find fault with this B&B and we would highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to stay in the area.

Mahler's Guest House - you will come back.

Left on 04/08/2010 for a stay in March 2010

Mahler's guest house gets 5 stars out of 5 possible. Why is that? Because you get extraordinarily good value for money.

The hosts’ honestly warm Israeli hospitality makes you feel extremely comfortable and at home. A home with a cosy atmosphere that meets all your expectations for a realxing holiday. Spoken laungages are not English and Hebrew only but also Scandinavian laungages.

The Guest House’s location offers a matchless view over the Sea of Kinneret (Galilee) that can take the breath from even the most spoilt viewer.

Moreover, it is a fantastic starting point for the scenic Galilee with its rich historical and cultural heritage, with the short distances to Ramat HaGolan in the East, Acre and Kfar Rosh Hanikra in the West, Metula and Mount Hermon in the North . Discover the old picturesque Jewish Tsfat or the Christian sites by Lake Kinneret.

What did I like least? Happily I can say, I cannot come up with anything.
