Great cottage, steps to the beach but the owner needs to take responsibility for the upkeep! Start with exterminating then fixing the patio doors and blinds. How about lawn furniture without wet mucky, cushions.
Relaxing at the beach.

Great location so near the beach, and within walking distance of great shops and good food. On Wednesdays at the pier there's a framers market with nice fruit and vegetables. Lots of other vendors with arts and crafts/ jewelry!! The place was very comfortable, lots of space and dogs are welcome!! Back yard was great for them to run around in. Tile floor was easy too clean up with pets and sand!! If you use the hair dryer turn off the aC and lights in bedroom or you might flip a breaker !! No problem just look behind the small mirror by the front door for the breaker box. Lots of room to set up your computer etc in the kitchen area or on the small white table. Overall it was an easy area and place to relax in. Love being so close to the beach, just walk out and see the sunrise. Turtle nests are a cool sight while looking for shells. Thanks for allowing dogs!!

Weather was awful, but not your responsibility, disappointed we picked the week of Tropical Storm Beryl to stay at your house. House could do with more plates, cups, glasses, serving dishes, and a functional Grill. Laundry??

After contacking the agency with a problem in the dolphin watch cottage, which we orignally rented, they offerd the lighkeepers cottage to amend. We were very satisfied as to how they professional handled our situation. We cannot say enough about how great we were treated and respected. We were celebrating our 37th anniversery and ended up in the ST augustine Record with our picture taken while horseback riding on the beach at St Johns. Thank you for a beautiful cottage and many thanks to Country Carriages for the best vacation ever.
Great vacation rental

This was a much needed vacation away from work and the lightkeepers cottage was wonderful. There were small issues with ants, we could tell we weren't the first because there was already a can of Raid under the sink, but all it took was spraying and the ants were gone. Our dog loved being so close to the ocean, 50 yards away and we were on the beach. Our only issue was that we weren't allowed to check out on a Sunday. We had to find another place to stay for our last night. I guess their weeks run Saturday to Saturday, but I would have thought that since we booked three months in advance, we could have had that Saturday night. Overall, we had a great time, and would recommend this to anyone that wants a rental almost on the beach.
Love the location

We really enjoyed our stay at Lightkeepers Cottage, location was wonderful, so close to the beach. I would like to have had a nice grill to grill out on is the only thing that was wrong. Other than that everything was great. Definitely will stay again. Thanks

If I did not have grandchildren in western Pa., I would be living in LightKeepers Cottage. Of course, I would make a few changes, leg pads on the kitchen chairs for one. I would also declutter the kitchen and arrange it to suit myself. Most of all, I would hire Orkin to get rid of the ants, although Raid gel did a fast and effective job. The cottage is charming and the location is superb. Linda Nickles

Lightkeepers Cottage is in a great location and has some features hard to find in a beach house. Designed for 2 to 4 rather than 12 to 14 people, pet friendly with enclosed yard and as close to the beach as you can get.
Cute Place tho a bit worn

Over all..we had a great time...place needed a good cleaning and the floors could really use a steam cleaning. Bedding was clean..we had very few towels and no wash cloths...also no kitchen towels. Two tv's was really nice as my husband and I do not watch the same programs. Great location to the beach. Parking is a little skimpy but do-able. Great fenced in backyard for our grill outs. Nice patio funiture as well. Plenty of seating indoors and out. Pretty much everything you need..just in need of good cleaning and painting.

Great cottage, kids loved the upstairs and the old toys, dog loved the yard. Could have used some simple amenities...mop, door mats, plastic ware for kids, remote for BR TV, vertical blinds and window shades that work and better lock for slider. Lots of
nice but could be better

We booked this rental very last minute and it looked great in the pictures. Arrived around 4 pm and the place had not been cleaned and one bed was unmade. Called management and they sent someone over right away to take care of it and she did a nice job. Some stuff was lacking. No kitchen linens, no bath mat, no mat inside or outside the door to wipe your feet, no pillow protectors, extra pillows but no coverings. Window screens would be a terrific asset to let the ocean breezes blow through. Stairway to loft is very narrow and steep. Both leather sofas were very worn and had holes in the seat cushions in one spot on each. Otherwise decor was very pleasant.
A month at the beach.

When we first arrived the cottage was clean, but the back yard was full of dog waste and the grass had not been cut in some time. We spent several hours cleaning up the dog waste so our puppy could use the backyard. We called the manager who apologized and said they would correct the problem. Three days later the lawn maintenance crew arrived and cut the grass. The crew returned every week after that and did a great job.

The Lighkeepers House was pretty much perfect for my mother, my cousin, my husband, my two small dogs and myself. The location was very good - very close to the beach and convenient to other things (downtown, restaurants, shopping). The fenced yard was great for the dogs. The only problem we encountered was teeny ants in the bathroom and kitchen. I would spray and kill what was there, but lots of new ones came in. House should probably be baited along the perimeter outside.

The place was great and staff were very helpful the only thing is the bathroom could of had a better clean there was mildew on the shower curtain and the floor was still dirty. The other thing the mattress in the loft needs replacing as it sags on both sides so you feel alittle like you will fall out, other than that the place was great and the location fantastic we will be staying here again.
Cozy light and bright cottage just steps from the beach.

Wonderful for family who is looking for a quiet home away from home. Pets had a fenced in yard with privacy. We were just steps away from the beach and the neighborhood is soo friendly& clean. Location is private but so close to everything. We had a week of the best vacation ever. Loved it in every way!!
