Left on 10/13/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Excellent service, Sonya was always helpful & full of local info. Welcoming us with local scones and Cornish Butter-a true treat after 6 hour drive! Home may not look much from outside, but inside clean & new, almost like a boutique chalet. Location was central to south coast, so much to see...We were blessed with excellent weather ( unsual in Cornwall) This made the whole trip more meaningful, memorable and full of lovely memories. Thank you once more, Sonya and Mark.

Thank you to Sonya and Mark for having such a lovely, comfortable holiday cottage. It is easy to find in a beautiful village. The great location of the cottage is within easy walking distance of the Eden Project and only a short drive to the Lost Gardens of Heligan. I recommend seeing St Mawes castle and going over to Pendennis castle(and back) on the ferry. We could have stayed for so much longer, it was like 'home from home'. Sonya and Mark were very kind, friendly and helpful during our stay. I will certainly stay again if it's not booked up! I shall make sure all my family and friends know about it. Thank you, and hope to see you again one day

The cottage was really great: it contains all the furniture and electric devices you can ever think of. You're welcomed by a wonderful cream tea and Sonya is so kind to think of making you start easily by providing bread, butter, oil & vinegar...
It's also very nicely decorated with fresh flowers and you can read many different books about the cornwall (but you'll never read them all !).
There are also games for kids !
We definitely have nothing to imagine for any improvement. It's also very well located in the cornwall. Definitely a place where we would like to go back and we would recommend friends to go ! -

It has been the third time we stayed in Huel Tristram, every time we were surprised by Sonya an Mark wth small improvements to the perfect condition we encountered before. This is the place if you want to stay in a quiet place with the advantage of being close to a larger town like St. Austell. Sonya and Mark are the perfect landlords!

What can I say, excellent accomodation, home from home, everything in the cottage you could wish for, very clean(the cleanist cottage we have stayed in and we've stayed in in a few). Sonya and mark were excellent hosts. The cream tea on arrival was lovely, a favourite of mine. The cottage was in a very good location for exploring the surrounding areas, very quiet, even our 16 year old son enjoyed it and never complained. I would certainly recommend to family and friends, and we will certainly stay there again, when we visit Cornwall.

We received a great welcome. Were amazed at the high standard of the accomodation. Was cleaner than home and had everything you need for a comfy stay. The location was ideal for visiting so many interesting places. What we liked best was the personality of the hosts and their ability to make you feel at home immediately. We shall return one day and would recommend without hesitation.

My husband and I think this is the best holiday cottage we've ever stayed in - so clean and with everything we needed. We stayed with our two children, who loved having their own rooms and, of course the teddies! The cream tea waiting for us was delicious and Sonya and Mark were so friendly. A perfect location for beaches and exploring this beautiful part of Cornwall. We would definitely stay again and have already recommended Huel Tristram to friends and family.

The cottage deservedly had 4 stars and was very comfortable and beutifully furnished throoughout. Every possible utensil and facility you may wish for had been carefully provided by the hosts. Plenty of activities to do nearby with very dodgy weather for the time of year. Beaches nearby were of good quality and suitable for swimming, sunbathing or other beach activities.

A beautiful and immaculate cottage! we received a very friendly welcome from Sonya and we were given lots of information about things to do and places to see which was a great help. There was a delicious cream tea waiting for us which was a lovely way to start our holiday! The cottage is in a great location for exploring Cornwall and we enjoyed days out in Fowey, Polperro and Padstow as well as spending time on a couple of the lovely local beaches (Par and Polkerris). The Eden Project was also a great day out and is walkable from the cottage. We would definitely love to return!

This was without doubt the best cottage we have ever stayed in. The booking was easy and efficient. On arrival we were made most welcome and it was clear that the cottage was spotless (it's always a worry when going somewhere for the first time). This was the first time I haven't set too in washing the crockery on arrival.
The owners Mark and Sonya were unobtrusive but made it clear that they were available at any time to sort any problems. The cottage is very well appointed and in a good location for exploring Cornwall on foot or by car. -

Huel Tristram is a beautiful cottage located just outside of St. Austell. Sonya and Mark Rogers have spent a lot of work and thought to decorate the rooms, you will find a place like a home. Having been twice at Huel Tristram, we will surely come back and enjoy our stay as we did before.

Left on 07/19/2010 for a stay in April 2010
This was my second visit within a year after my friend recommended this vacation home to me. On both occasions we were greeted with the owners homemade "Cornish cream tea" on arrival. The house is beautiful and charming with an oldy wordly feel to it (with mod cons), extremely clean with a picturesque, well maintained garden. The managers (Sonya & Mark) were extremely friendly and helpful and were very patient and understanding towards my son (who has learning disabilities). This is truly a warm hearted couple who even came to collect me and my family when our car broke down and offered to tow us to the local mechanic. We will definitely be back next year. I see this place as my "home away from home". Even the neighbors made us feel most welcome. Surrounding areas are just as beautiful and all within an easy drive of many of the attractions on offer. The local tea rooms at Trewithen Gardens served superb home made desserts and the gardens are pretty and make for a nice, peaceful walk.
I'd just like to say to Sonya & Mark if you are reading this...where ever I am in the world, you guys will always leave an awesome memory of England with me. Treating my son as "normal" with the respect and dignity that you showed meant so much to my family. God bless !!! -

Left on 07/17/2010 for a stay in July 2010
This is the best house we have stayed in. It has all the special touches to make a stay here very homely - from the coffee maker, the tuperware and picnic bag, the teddy's for the kids, to the flowers dotted around the house. It was so nice you would be happy to ignore all that cornwall has to offer and stay in for a day or more playing chess and checkers (also provided). It's a great location for a walk to the Eden project and a drive from pretty much everywhere in cornwall.

Then cottage was really nice and fully equipped. The weather was not very good. I think, as there is no meadow or garden to lie in the grass, it would be good to have some sunbeds for the guests.
All in all we were very satisfied. -
