This near 100-year old great house on a 100-acre property in the cool hills of St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, has been lovingly restored by its owners to a 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom guest house, with a spacious living-dining room/kitchen, and an airy enclosed veranda around three sides. Fully secured and screened, it is managed by the property manager and his wife who reside on the property. In fifteen years of visiting Jamaica, we finally found peace and quiet! The setting amid mountains and lush forest is far, far from tourist areas. The house is a rare, historic gem, and the host couple, Nickisha and Ray, are delightful and attentive. They grow much of the food served, and their agricultural expertise is in evidence at meals. This house would be perfect for hikers, bird-watchers, artists, a wonderful retreat for writers, or for a family reunion!
