Beautiful place to stay on a quiet island! Close to attractions and the beach. Very well equipped, spacious, lovely home. As with other reviews, the one slight negative would be there are a lot of stairs. One flight up to the entry which puts you on the level with bedrooms. Then another flight up to the kitchen and living area. Not bothersome to us except bringing in groceries, but could be an issue for someone with physical challenges or health conditions.

Seattle, WANice, clean home with a great location

Bay's Window was great. We were close to everything and enjoyed our stay. We rented bikes and unless we left the island we didn't need a car. The folks at SGI Vacation were nice and made it very easy. I would recommend for a group and kids. You can easily walk to the lighthouse, beach and the bridge for a sunset. Very comfortable and nice layout.

Our only concerns were that (1) trip cancellation ins was added (for $150) to the original contract without our having requested it. It was an inconvenience to contact your office to insist on a new contract. (2) Internet & local phone service were out for over a month of our six week stay.

Springdale, ARAmazing place for a relaxing vacation!

We were so impressed with St. George Island and our stay at Bay's Window. The house boasts a great lay out, opening living spaces, comfortable bedrooms, lots of light and quiet location. You can easily walk to everything you need. We highly recommend the state park on the end of the island. We found great shells there and there were very few people there. We thought the waves were better at the state park for boogie boarding also! We had a fantastic time. The island has a fantastic market and even a gas station. The closest Wal-Mart is about an hour away. We had a fantastic, relaxing vacation!

Bay's Window is a nice place to relax and enjoy the sunset looking out into the bay. We enoyed the state park and the beaches. This was a great place to fish from the bridge minutes away from this location. This unit has cable TV,but the board games and books consumed most of our indoor time.It also has a charcoal Weber grill, outdoor cover shwr, and a sink w/ table to clean fish or shells. The only downside was the island lost power for 2 days before having generators to power us up.We lost some food and sleep, but enjoyed fishing till 1am and the cool showers to try to sleep on.

We enjoyed our stay at the Bay's Window at St. George Island. It was a great size to bring family and had plenty of room. St. George Island Vacation Properties made check in and out easy and made the location easy to find.
We brought our own bikes and explored the island. We ate at many of the restaurants in the area and later found the little country store that was just one block over to have many great things to cook. Location was great and was centrally located on the island. We strolled out to the pier on the bay side and the beach was just two blocks over on the other. Great place to watch the sunset.
Only draw back was mosquitoes in the evening. Just remember to bring bug spray or wipes and you will fine. -

Sidney, OHIT WAS WONDERFUL!
Left on 10/22/2009 for a stay in August 2009
We had never been to St. George Island. We soon found it to be our favorite vacation spot. It is a very beautiful and ,most important, relaxing vacation spot. We loved the fact that it is not a comerciallized vacation spot. We loved the house. It had only been built 2 months before we stayed. We found nothing wrong with the house. It is not beach front, but the beach is just a walk away. I would stay in the same house again. It is less expensive to stay in a house that is not beach front and totally worth the walk to the beautiful beaches. We also took a boat tour to some little islands around St. George. I would suggest everyone to do that. We would most certainly come back to St. George Island.

Middle GeorgiaWonderful Weekend
Left on 10/21/2009 for a stay in September 2009
We had a wonderful 4 day weekend at Bay's Window. We arrived late, but we called the customer service number and received our keys easily. Bay's Window is a beautiful new home. Everything was extremely clean and well furnished, including the kitchen. I really enjoyed having the 2 screened-in porches because my children were allowed to play outside without losing toys over the edge. We spent most of our time at the beach, which is only 2 blocks away. It was really nice having an outdoor shower when we returned in the evenings. Bay's Window was like a home away from home and we look forward to returning soon.

Associates were friendly, and check-in was a breeze - I was in and out of SGIVP's office in under two minutes. The house is beautiful - tastefully furnished with a great layout. Three bedrooms are on the first floor, and the kitchen and living room are on the second level. Be sure to enjoy the view from the top porch!
It's in a great location. You are in walking distance of the market, restaurants, shops and the beach.
I liked the location best; and I also liked the location least. While it's great to be within walking distance of so many places, the mosquitoes were awful! We planned on grilling often, but after receiving 20 + bites the first time, we cooked indoors. Foggers and bug repellent didn't help.
