We really enjoyed Champipple. It was the perfect size for our family. A short walk to the beach and the outside water to get the sand off was great. The only draw back was the master bedroom on the 3rd floor had a sprial staircase to get there which was a little difficult to navigate. Also the master bedroom did not have a curtain covering the doors leading out to the great balcony so there was no privacy thru these all glass doors and let the light in real early in the am. Overall had a great time and would rent Champipple again however we might let the young folks worry about the spiral staircase.

The house is beautiful, and a close walk to the beach. Will do it again!
There was no trash can outside though, so we had to take our trash with us... -

We were upgraded to this house due to air conditioning problems with our original rental. Nice house, well decorated, short walk to beach (about one block).

The home was beautiful and we loved the location. The rooms were decorated wonderfully and the beds were comfortable.
But, the realty accused us of stealing a trash can. The lady who called was very rude. She made me feel like a child the way she spoke to me. I am a grown woman and did not deserve to be treated with such disrespect. Later we recieved an email stating they had found the garbage can in a locked service closet. They did not even say they were sorry.
Then 6 months later they sent an email saying that a comforter had a stain on it and we needed to pay for a new one. Why did they wait so long? I don't even know what to think about that.
I will NEVER rent from St George Island Vacation Properties again! And I would suggest no one else does either. -

This was a great place and we would have rerented in a heartbeat had it not been for the constant pump noise from home next door. I notified our rental company and the rental company of the next door home about the problem. Neither took any action to correct the problem.
I assume these companies charge a substantial fee to the owners. They did nothing to earn it on this issue.
The noise was like Chinese Water Torture and casused us to cut our visit short. I would not recommend this home if the faulty pump is still whining away there.
Please print this and maybe the Champiple's owner can remedy the issue. -

Tallahassee, FLBeautiful house - not fully professional agent
Left on 10/14/2009 for a stay in October 2008
The house is beautiful, spacious, with everything you might need. It is on the fancy side; we called it the "pottery barn house" because it is all decorated and made up, down to the last detail, in the fancy beach style that you would see in a PB catalog. They should take pics of it for a spread in fact... Depending on who you are, this is a pro or a con, of course. We were sort of in the middle, a little less knick-knacks would not have hurt. But it is an extremely comfy and relaxing place.
It has two bedrooms on the second floor (first floor is sandy ground) and one on the top, third floor. It has a laundry room, three bathrooms, a nice dining area, nice living room area, and a porch. It is very close to the beach but not ON the beach as many other houses.
Two cons:
1) there was a lot of wind when we were there and the whole house shook and made lots of noises, especially the bedroom on the third floor. The noise of the wind passing through the (shut) windows was so much that I had to go sleep downstairs in one of the (comfy) bunk beds.
2) We booked it especially for one reason: it was listed by the rental agent as having wireless Internet. I had even called them in advance to make sure this was the case. Well, when we got there and checked, there was no internet to be found. We called the agent, and we were told that nobody could come out and help us during the week-end. The rental rep was not helpful at all, and gave us the impression she could not care less about our issue. Only when we said we would block the credit card payment for the rental did someone else from the agency call back! She offered a refund for a $60 fee they had charged us in the first place (can't remember what for).
I think I will make sure not to rent from them again...
