Several details were missed prior to our stay. Missing a roof, no cable, no kitchen hand towels, soap was terrible, and no one to help with any issue or concern.

Hale Kalani is a wonderful smaller home right on the beach. My husband and I stayed there with our daughter and son-in-law. It was perfect. The house is professionally decorated and has a wonderful deck that we enjoyed eating out on and just sitting and watching the sunset. The house sits right on the beach, and it is just a few steps right to the water. We have stayed here 3 times, and we are never disappointed.

Hale Kalani is a beautiful, beautiful beach house. Clean, bright, and spacious with a perfect porch to watch dolphins playing in the surf. We plan to go back.
Be sure to bring all your own supplies. Laundry soap, bath and shower supplies, and everything for cooking, down to salt and pepper. (For us it was a quick trip to the grocery store) -
The Beach and Salt Lifers!
TallahasseeAn Excellent House!!!
Left on 04/08/2011 for a stay in March 2011
I have been vacationing in beach houses for 3 decades. Every year without fail we take one or more beach vacations a year. This house definately rated in the top 10% of all beach-front houses we have rented!!! The privacy and crowd-free character of it being in the Plantation enabled us to enjoy a peacful vacation. How close the house is to the beach was amazing! Many of the beach-front homes we rented in past years had long boardwalks to the beach. This house you could almost spit on the beach (I wouldn't really do that!) from the back porch! The house decor was filled with a lot of quality furnishing, and the living room was huge and very functional!!! About the only things I would improve would be to add a few more kitchen utensils (mainly forks and knives and a few more cooking utensils), replace the master shower-head, and put a bigger TV in the master bedroom. In one of the guest bedrooms, the TV would not get all of the available cable channels - I think it only got 13 or so channels. Other than those few things, you can't go wrong with this house! I will definately be returning!!! Excellent stay!!!

Andersonville, Tn.Wonderful house and setting!
Left on 03/16/2011 for a stay in February 2011
This house is beautifully decorated, bringing nature's colors right into the house. We like the all white slipcovers so much that we have duplicated this effect at home. It is sad that some have left stains and marks from their visit. Cleaning is in order.
The management company was very friendly and attentive.
A very pleasurable stay. -

Wonderful home on a perfect spot on the beach. Literally "on the beach". Great spacious one level home and plenty of room. Would love to rent the home again but was very disappointed with experience with St. George Island Vacation Properties. Will never use that group to rent from again. Got many conflicting responses trying to deal with them. Will definately go back to using my other rental property group.

Check-In and Check-Out was very easy! The Hale Kalani is a very nice home with a great view and easy access to the beach. It is in a very private and quiet location and very pet friendly. Walks on the beach with our dachshund while looking for sea shells and enjoying the lovely sunrises and sunsets were the most enjoyable while the occasional sand burr was probably the least especially for the dog!

Had a wonderful stay. Had booked our reservation back in the Spring thus were unable to take advantage of "last minute" discounts that were offered. Little disappointing; especially with a 2 week reservation. Perhaps I should consider being less efficient in my booking. Ha... Other than that, and house not being ready at the noted 4 o'clock check-in things were spectacular. I thank Becky (I think was her name) for being courteous and sweet.

Brentwood, TNGreat views and gorgeous house!
Left on 07/09/2010 for a stay in June 2010
This is the perfect place if you want quiet and tranquility. There is not much to do on the island so we just hung out on the beach. Also, be prepared to cook. The restaurants close by are okay and the nicer ones in appalachacola are very expensive. The house is gorgeous and the beach is great! We were disappointed that the rental agency did not inform us that the pool was under construction.

We have stayed at Hale Kalani several times before under the former owner and rental agency. The improvements the new owner has made are great. Ther was some confusion about the beds but that was minor. Overall we had a wonderful time and will be back next year if not sooner.

Monroe GAWe love SGI and Hale Kalani!
Left on 05/27/2010 for a stay in May 2010
We usually stay each year in Seaside or in Destin, but friends had visited SGI and liked it so we wanted to make a change this year.
Loved the quiet and privacy of the island, the beach, the home.
Few fine dining options on the island, but apalachicola had several restaurants..and then there was Lynn's Seafood market!!!
Hale Kalani is lovely.
But The kitchen could be updated, cabinets refinished (scratches) and drawers and cabinets cleaned inside--which I ended up doing for our stay... and lightbulbs replaced. The coffee maker was broken and the nicer coffee maker was missing the filter basket so we had to buy our own for the stay. The pots and pans needed to be cleaned--dried on food so I did that also for our stay.
So really the house was lovely and beautifully decorated, so comfortable. The beach was wonderful, the landscaping needed work. There were some outlets that didnt work. We woudl like to make Hale Kalani the place to stay each year...we go away each year to the area to celebrate our wedding anniversary--and we loved it..even with the kitchen needing work.
Thank you so much and we look forward to next year. -

Left on 10/23/2009 for a stay in March 2009
SGI Vacation Properties was easy to work with and quick to respond to my questions. I liked Hale Kalani very much and would definitely like to return for another month. Excellent ocean views, spacious rooms, all-around balcony, and the perfect size for me and my visiting friends. 6 miles to town meant a nice, flat 12-mi round-trip bike ride on the paved bikepath outside my door.

Huntsville, ALA Little Piece of Heaven
Left on 10/22/2009 for a stay in July 2009
We have stayed in Hale Kalani three times now, and we absolutely love it. It is the perfect house for a small family - 3 BR's and 2BA's. It is beautifully decorated, and the furnishings are extremely comfortable. We love the deck and wrap-around porch and enjoyed the new outdoor shower. We love the location right on the beach and really relish in the peace and quiet we find in the Plantation. We will definitely rent this property again and again. Thank you!

atlanta, gaLove House - but needs TLC
Left on 10/16/2009 for a stay in July 2009
Love this house - we have stayed in it with another rental agency - but it really needed some TLC this visit. Parts of wood trim missing, looked like it was in the middle of being repainted and repaired - not what I expect for the price......
Your price for this house was significantly higher than better or comparable houses from other agencies despite condition of house. -

Memphis, TNEXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS
Left on 10/14/2009 for a stay in August 2009
We loved our trip to Saint George. The Hale Kalani house was very, very nice. The bathrooms showed a little wear and could benefit from some minor improvements and the linens were a bit rough, but other than those MINOR things we'd definitely rent this house again in a second! The living space is HUGE!! 30' x 50'!! The deck was great, the mosquitoes were killers at night, but a $7.00 bottle of cutter bug free back yard attached to the hose took care of that problem for the week! The kitchen gear appeared kind of dated and scattered about the kitchen, but it didnt matter to me as I packed all my favorite kitchen gear and brought it with us in our truck. We cant wait to go back and introduce more people to this great place.
