We almost canceled due to some business procedures we were involved in, but so happy my husband and I went. Excellent weather, lovely quiet surroundings due to season of year. It gave us the time to reconnect, reflect, and re-energize. Great, great food on SGI. Wonderful beach house on bay side with private deck. Lovely sunsets.

This house was better than the pictures showed. It was comfortable and clean and the Hot Tub was used daily. We fished for hours everyday and the sunsets just have to be seen to believe. We brought our dog and she went out to eat with us at the restaurants, nice not having to leave her alone. The only negative comment would be the pine trees, they blocked our view of the water and the fronds make a mess on the decks. A good trim or removal would be in order. But don't let that stop you from renting this beautiful house. You won't be dissappointed.

We stayed in a Lure for a week in June of 2012. We usually stay on the gulf side and were worried about lack of scenery. Boy were we wrong! The first morning we sat on the dock for about 20 minutes and watched a manitee family swim around and play right in front of us. Dolphiins, birds, fish and sting rays were constantly present. The description promised beautiful sunsets but they were truly amazing every evening. The house was the best equipped we have ever had on St. George. The kitchen was better stocked that ours at home. We will definetly stay in a Lure again!

There was a mouse that ate my dog's food when my family and I stayed here. The internet worked for about thirty minutes, and then was down for two hours. It was a never ending cycle. Tried calling their technical support, and they were unable to fix the problem. I do not recommend. Read more
We are so sorry to hear of the problems you encountered during your stay at A Lure. We typically do not experience trouble with this home and have received many compliments from satisfied guests who have stayed there. The week prior to your arrival, our area experienced an unexpected weather event – Tropical Storm Debby. We believe this has everything to do with both of the issues you experienced. We had a couple of instances where wildlife entered a home looking for higher ground and we feel sure the mouse who visited the home during your stay was a storm casualty. We apologize for any discomfort this may have caused and we appreciate you taking the time to report this to us during your stay so that we could dispatch a pest control service. With regards to the internet problem, there were a number of outages and connectivity issues experienced after Tropical Storm Debby. We emailed all of our guests who were scheduled to arrive the week after Debby to let them know that there may be some issues with cable and internet due to storm damage. We apologize that the service was spotty during your visit. We are pleased to report that the issues with cable and internet associated with Tropical Storm Debby have been repaired. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are truly sorry for the problems you encountered during your stay. We hope that you will come back for a visit to St. George Island and give A Lure another chance.

Loved the neighborhood atmosphere and the sunset views.

Excellent home - steep steps. Loved the view and the fishing pier. Attractive decor. The dishwasher front cover was loose, but the dishwasher worked fine. Didn't use the hot tub. The fishing off the pier was excellent (we did catch and release).
We stayed here because it was pet-friendly and we love St. George Island. It was just my husband and I, a yorkie and a doxie.

We really enjoyed this house. Wonderful views of the bay Nicely equipped and furnished. The hot tub was refreshing. The only negative would be not having a ladder on the dock to access our boat. The dock is quite high and it was difficult accessing the boat without a ladder. Also would suggest an outside light near the grill when grilling after sunset. Read more

The photos do not do a Lure justice as the property more than met our expectations. The sunsets from the deck and hot tub were unbelievable. Rented a golf cart to go to the beach and to get around which was fun.

Our first time to stay on the bay. It was a great house. So comfortable for all five adults. It was fun to fish from the dock. Sunsets were spectacular. To be able to have a hot tub made this a great location. So great after a day fishing or walking the beach. We loved it all. Would definitely recommend.
Great location for kayaking. Wonderfully quiet location.
