October was the right month for our stay. Very pleasant. Location of house is the beginning if the plantation. Public entrance to the beach is near the house so we were unable to have privacy directly in the beach. Others took that spot.
Only other comment about the house is hard mattresses.

We loved this house. Very large and plenty of room for a family. We loved the updated furnishings. We were very pleased that it was not decorated with the typical wicker and beach theme. The location could not be better! The kitchen was especially nice with the island and being open to the living room. Our only complaint of this place was that for the price per week, we expected more with regards to the linens. The sheets and pillows were cheap and pillow lumpy and crunchy sounding. The bed was very firm and uncomfortable. We joked that the LaQuinta we stayed in on the way down had nicer bedding. The towels were very small and scratchy and when we requested more from the management company, we were told you only get 1 towel for the amount of people the place sleeps. We had our grown children coming to stay with us a couple of days. This basically meant we all got 1 towel! When you are staying on the beach, it should be expected that you may take more than 1 shower a day. We also had only 1 dish towel. I had to purchase more and I left them in the house for the next guests. When we initially arrived, the smoke detector was down, the wine cooler was not working and the TV cable was messed up. We called the management company and they quickly responded to all our requests. The cable was a different story. The TV needed a new cable and although the management company made several attempts to get the cable company out, we stayed the whole week and never saw anyone from the cable company. We had to fiddle with it almost every night to get rid of the static and get a clear picture. All in all, it was a pleasant stay and great for our family and loved that the place allowed our dog. The only thing that would prevent us from a return visit, is the bedding and towels. When you pay $2,700-$3,000 per week, you expect to have luxury linens and towels. Because of the cheap bedding and linens for the price paid, we would not be able to recommend.

We rented the Sol Seaker from 4/7/13 to 4/14/13 for our april 13, 2013 Beach Wedding. It worked perfectly it is located in the Plantations. It is located by the public beach access so we had our guest park out on the side of the road so there wouldn't be extra traffic in the plantations a gated beach community.
The house is beautiful inside very modern and spacious huge kitchen and dining and living room open floor concept. We had our rehearsal dinner at the house, 20 people attended with the open floor plan the house did not feel crowded at all. We had the reception in the driveway and set up a dance floor and tables and it worked out perfectly!!!

This home is newly redone, spotless beautifully located. Beach views from the living area, master bedroom and decks are fabulous. It's very near the bike path, so can bike for lunch or to the shopping mid-island. The St.George Island Vacation Properties Rental staff made check-in and check-out a breeze.
Great renovated house. Very comfortable. Wonderful beach access.

Our only complaint was that it is adjacent to public beach access and you have tons of public traffic, cars, people, dogs, music right next to you. We paid to stay on plantation and this is first house in the plantation and it never really felt this way. Our beach space was often "taken" by people not even staying in plantation.

The first time we stayed at Sol Seaker in april, 2012, everything was great. We loved the location, the view, and the renovations. Perfect size for us and our yellow lab. Kitchen supplies were basic but adequate. Everything was clean and new. In fact we enjoyed it so much, we decided to go back in September.
However, we were quite disappointed in the cleanliness on our second trip. The housekeeping service had done a very poor job. Dishes were not clean and I felt I had to wash everything before using. The guest bathroom was totally dirty and it had not been cleaned in a long time. As we had friends coming to join us for a few days, I was scrounging around trying to find cleaning supplies which were nil and scrubbed everything myself. The pillows on the couch were dirty. We were constantly buying things as there were not near enough paper goods such as paper towels, toilet paper, really anything for 7 days. We could not access the storage room as we had done on the first visit and had to buy charcoal just for one cook-out. We were told that people had been taking things so everything was kept locked. No access to beach chairs or anything. I was constantly cleaning and buying which really put a damper on the "vacation". Very different from 5 months ago.
We love St. George Island and Plantation but the owners of Sol Seaker need to get a new cleaning service and provide adequate supplies. Too much money to put up with the issues.

Great value and have great views...
Only draw back was it was the first house on the edge of the private community -- Thus, you have a little more traffic to the left of you on the beach (looking at the ocean) from those that walk from outside the community --- But if you know St George Island -- you know this isn't much traffic anyway...

Sol Seeker is a gorgeous beach house with dark hardwood
floors and a fireplace. It was exactly what we were
looking for with a large open kitchen that was
great for cooking. It was the first Christmas after
our mother passed away and our family and close
friends met and cooked a great Christmas dinner.
With a fireplace and Christmas tree on the beach front .
I liked the house being at the end of the road and
separate from the other cottages.

Newly renovated Sol Seaker is the perfect place to relax inside or out. Comfortable furniture, fully stocked kitchen, windows across the entire beach side of the house and screened in porch., which really was a plus on the day the flies were biting. We highly recommend this lovely home.
