We've stayed in this unit at least 4 times over the years, so it's difficult to be objective. It feels so comfortable to us and maybe we've gotten used to any quirks. I was so glad to see the bathrooms upgraded this year. Seems like a little thing, but, the labels on the light switches were extremely welcome! I always make a birthday cake when we come, and the unit has everything I need except the cake pans. Supply of games and puzzles is great. The beach access is terrific and I love being on the end. I loathe the mirrors in the living room (can't play cards at the table) and the beds need replacing, but otherwise, we love this unit. Rvp is easy to deal with also.

We enjoyed the vacation location very much. Beautiful setting with great beaches and the proximity to the state park was a bonus. The unit was comfortable and everything was in working order. It is in need of some updating and the furniture was not the greatest but it was functional.

I was very happy we paid the discounted rate we did...If we would have paid the "normal" rate...I would not have been happy. This unit needs a deep clean and a little updating. We always have a wonderful time in St. George...however the unit had some issues. We cleaned shrimp shells out of the bottom of the dish washer filters along with a lot of grease...large amounts of sand out of the washer/dryer...and an inch layer of lint inside the dryer door to get our clothes to dry. I understand that things get beat up in a vacation rental...but I feel that you need to take a little more detail in cleaning before turning a unit for a new guest.

I was incredibly disappointed with our stay in September. While the interior was comfortable, it was very outdated and not very clean. To make matters worse, it had a large amount of roaches that were huge. The third morning, waking up to find a dead roach (not our first or last one to find) next to our food on the counter, broke me down to tears. We had paid good money to have a relaxing time on vacation only to encounter a situation that left us unable to relax at all and completely dis-heartened. I had envisioned enjoying my time with a wonderful view of the ocean (which this location did have) but found myself dreading any time we had to return to the unit and very regretful we had sacrificed our personal budget for an experience that only made me want to go home.

We are so sorry that you experienced a problem with roaches in your original unit. There are many reasons that there are random outbreaks and unfortunately, one of the main causes is the amount of effort that the previous guest makes to tidy the home, (the kitchen in particular). Although our housekeeping department has very strict standards, sometimes the infestation begins prior to their efforts and the pests don't appear for several days. Again, we apologize for the distress this caused your family. We are hopeful that the move to another unit mid-stay allowed you to enjoy the rest of your vacation. Should you choose to visit St. George Island again in the future, we hope you will allow us to serve your vacation rental needs.

We were very pleased with 300 Ocean Mile I-9. There were six adults and one small child. Our wish was that there were more seating in the common room and that the deck were larger (screened in would be really nice) Overall it was very nice and comfortable and a good value.

As always RVP representives, from checking in to housekeeping, to maintenance were polite and curteous, and prompt in responding to requests.
I-9 is our favorite 3 bedroom. From the location at the end of that section (no back and forth foot traffice). Facing on the Gulf is a bonus. Adequately furnished. Close enough to the pool for all the adults and kids.
I liked the view of the Gulf, and the deck out front for snacks and drinks anytime since the sun travels from left to right. The only complaint I have is the balky sliding screens. I understand the salt air and rust, but hey, a little WD-40 and then some heavier lubricant might help.
All of this said, we are all looking forward to coming again this year.

The home was nice but needed some updating. The master bath and bedroom
were the two rooms that really needed the extra work. Regardless, the ocean
view is awesome, Being an end unit on the ocean definitely has its advantages.
We would consider staying in this unit again. -

300 Ocean Mile is old and the whole thing needs to be torn down and rebuilt. Although this unit was renovated downstairs you didn't do the upstairs which was disappointing and basically nasty. My room (with parking lot view) was dirty as was the bathroom which is in dire need of a makeover. The master bedroom is old and the master bath was dirty and the floor creaky. The sliding screen door to the unit downstairs was broken and continually came out of the track. Key to unit had to be jiggled and manuevered in order to open the door. Not sure what was up with that. Utensils in kitchen were missing, cups were cracked, not enough pots and pans to cook with, etc. Refrigerator was dirty. Owner's closet was open. Your balconies and steps to front are not to code and unstable. A hazard for children. Although ocean front the unit is over priced. We won't be back.

We have been travelling to St. George Island almost annualy for the past 10 years. One to four other families (family and friends) also rent homes in St. George the same week as we do. We have had as many as 50 people in our group in a single year. St. George is the perfect family vacation spot. The beachs are beautiful and uncrowded. The homes we have rented have been top notch. There is no more of a "kick-back & relax" place that we know of. We are coming back again in 2009.

My husband and I were extremely satisfied with our condo on the beach on St. George Island. The unit was clean, well maintained, and best of all, had a gorgeous view of the gulf. We went there for peace and quiet and were well rewarded. The unit more than met our needs. Our best times were spent relaxing on the beach. We are runners and were delighted to have the beach, nearby state park, and the sparsely traveled roads to ourselves. Best of all, we loved to support the local businesses and were impressed with the minimal "chain establishments" on the island.
