For many years we have made the trip to South Carolina beaches with all the family. Now one of our family lives in Texas. To make it equal distant for the entire family we checked into St. George Island and decided that as our destination. We couldn't have been happier. The house is beautiful, nicely equipped and a close drive to restuarants on the island or across the bridge and into apalachicola. We are across the street and a short walk to the beach. Nice and uncrowded. Wonderful porch sitting or basking in our own pool. Good fishing out the back door to the bay. Relax, relax, relax. Can't wait to get back.

The home was beautiful and comfortable. We love St. George Island and this home made our stay very memorable. We loved having the bikes for some exercise and for the kids. The only reason this did not get Excellent 5 stars was because it had a strong animal odor mainly upstairs. Got used to it but would smell every time you walked in. Other than that, everything else was perfect!

We took a larger place expecting more guests, but for a variety of reasons they could not visit...The guests we did have liked having their own living area, bedrooms, bathrooms etc... But, next year: we are looking at a smaller place closer to the beach...Let the ungrateful wretches who didn't show up this year find their own place!!!

I cannot put into words what a wonderful stay my family had. I traveled with my two children age 23 & 25, my brother & wife and 3 teeanagers along with Grandma and Grandpa. We were attending a wedding on the island but it was not our first stay. We have all rented over the last decade several times. Aloan By The Sea is our favorite hands down. My family still gives me kudos on finding such a 'perfect' home and we say this because we compare it to our previous rentals. The best feature of aloan was the pool! The pool area was absolutely spectacular! Large, private, furniture to accomodate everyone. We truly loved being by the pool! The layout of the home is great! The young adults had their own living rm when the adults wanted to watch tv in the main living rm. The bedrooms are layed out perfectly. We found ourselves constantly comparing this stay with our other stays and while bike riding we noticed dozens of pools that were roadside. Aloan's pool is secluded from onlookers. As for the kitchen it easily accomodated three cooks & contains many cooking ammenities. The entire check-in and check-out process was easy and that was Grandma & Grandpa's responsibility! Oh, I can't forget to mention our daily bike rides! Having the bikes at the house made it so easy. We have had to rent bikes on past vacations. It's those little things that make the experience awesome. I have already passed along the link to aloan. You could advertise this house with a guarantee or your money back because if the renter cannot find enjoyment and happiness here they won't find it anywhere! Our family along with 2 other families visited SGI over spring break this year. While it was a bit chilly on our visit & we were unable to enjoy the beaches as we had hoped, we were still able to have a great vacation. The house, pool (heated), bikes and overall atmosphere of relaxation the island provided was all we needed after a very cold and snowy winter. We definately have plans to return to aloan by the Sea in the future.

Very comfortable, nice extras - we used the bikes! The dog was glad to be included and kept a constant vigil from the porch over the goings on. We would go back there in an instant!

My wife and I had a great time. The house was great, and we loved the pool. It was really nice to be able to bring our dog and let her run around the fenced in area while we used the pool. We loved the peace and quiet of the island, and the uncrowded beach.
We would have liked more variety in restaurants, but we cooked out a few nights and the local grocery store had everything we needed. We had a great time, and we will come back in the future. -

Our large family including 4 grandchildren and 4 children stayed in this absolutely beautiful home. We even brought our dog. The living areas are fantastic and the bedrooms perfect. The master bedroom was huge, private and comfortable. The master bath has a giant sized shower. We loved the screened porch and the view is great. The large porch overlooking the pool area is perfect for evening sitting and just watching the kids swim. The pool and surrounding area is well kept and we all had alot of fun swimming or just lying on a float and relaxing. The yardscape is lovely and inviting. The outdoor shower is perfect after the brief walk down to the beautiful beach, with the warmest water. St. George island is a small, family oriented area and we have been going for years. We will always return year after year. Thank you for allowing us to stay in the perfect home, on the most beautiful island on the gulf.
