We love St George Island, the water, people, sunsets and area is beautiful. Our home was nice but needs serious updates in the kitchen. The stove didnt heat very well at all and the washing machine shook the entire house. The large pots to boil seafood were rusted so we were not able to use at all. The front porch with just a little effort should be screened to help with the bugs at night. The eat in porch was really nice. We love to cook the fresh seafood so those couple of things made it difficult. We will stay in St George again next year but not sure about Brief Escape. Also the extra set of sheets that were provied were for a twin and we had a queen bed.

Reply to appliance malfunction was prompt. Repair personnel were pleasant,curteous and efficient.
Home was comfortable. Blinds and lamp shade in main room needed attention/repair.
Location was excellent; amenities were average.

Brief Escape was exactly what we needed for our week at the beach. It is comfortable and a great size for a small family or a couple. The deck was great and the view very nice. The house is one block off the beach and directly across from a boardwalk so in 3 mins you are on the beach.
We were very pleased with the service we received with Vacation Rental Properties. We got delayed in traffic getting to the island and were not sure we would arrive before the office closed. I called and the person I spoke to was very helpful. We will definitely use them for our next trip to St. George's. -

While Brief Escape wasn't a high end house it was perfect for us! Most of our time was spent on the beach and we didn't have to worry about a little sand being tracked in. We loved the deck overlooking the Gulf and the short walk to the beach! When we came home at night exhausted from a good time at the beach we had comfy beds for a good night sleep!!
Resort Vacation employees were super-supplying everything we needed and they were just fun talking to and getting advice on where to go and where to eat! -

We have stayed on St. George Island on four occasions. Brief Escape was the last property we rented. This property was perfect for our small family, two adults and one dog. This property, and the other three, was clean, well-kept, and well furnished. We had a short walk to the beach, but were right on the bike path. The check-in staff was always helpful, both those we met in person and those we talked to by phone.
Although there are some convience stores and a small grocery on the Island, we have found it better to bring many food supplies with us. We do buy things on the island as needed, but planning a little ahead works for us.
We enjoy the open feeling at St. George Island instead of the close quarters of other beaches. We frequently recommend the Island to our friends and family, those with dogs and those without. Some people may prefer a busier, more active vacation site. For us, the calmness and serenity of SGI cannot be beat. -

My wife and travel to the Gulf Coast several times a year. This trip we decided to find a location that was somewhat more secluded, peaceful, relaxed and friendly. We definitely found all while visiting St. George Island and staying at the Breif Escape home offered by Resort Vacation Properties. Being very close to the beach was one deciding factor for our choice home on the Island.
We could not have asked for, nor have we found, a better location, home and beach. We recommend St. George Island, the Brief Escape home, Resort Vacation Properties and the pristine beach with natural habitat to all.
We will be back, soon.
