Paducah. KYFamily vacation with grown children.
Left on 10/16/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We have been vacationing on St George Island regularly, since 1990. We love the island and have rented in the Plantation exclusively for many years. We enjoyed our stay at Casablanca.
The TV/ electronic situation could use some updating.
We are especially happy with the new check in policies. We used to stand in line for check ins but the online reservations have eliminated that long process. -

The house is just the right size. Loved the screened porch. Great proximity to the beach - just a minute away. Loved being so clost to The Cut, too.

Left on 01/23/2012 for a stay in July 2011
the house was very well set up for 6 adults, one baby and 4 kids. The 4 kids shared a room with bunk beds, the family with the baby slept on the main floor in the same room and the parents of the bigger kids slept upstairs near the kids room. The open floor plan of the downstairs - with the kitchen open to the dining, patio and living room was perfect to have everyone together. the house was a bit older and could use some updating and minor updating/cleaning but was perfect for the proximity to the beach and for the layout. the pool was a good size and wonderful to have. This was our first time staying inside the plantation area and we loved the quiet of the area. However, the mosquitoes were brutal this time and made even the walk to the beach challenging on some days. not something that the owners can do anything about but something that really challenging to enjoy the outdoors fully.

Thank you for sharing your vacation rental feedback with us. We are delighted that overall you enjoyed your stay, but apologize that raccoons interrupted the quiet enjoyment of your stay. Due to the natural & pristine environment on St. George Island, all sorts of wildlife flourish, including raccoons. They can be rascals sometimes. A trapper was sent out after your departure & no further issues have been reported at this time. Thank you for your continued patronage. We look forward to having you back as our guests again in 2011.
Sincerely, Resort Vacation Properties

AtlantaA magical escape in a beautiful part of St. George Island
Left on 06/15/2010 for a stay in April 2010
Casablanca is a lovely home situated in a quiet part of the island. It is across the road from the ocean but does not have great sea or beach views, but is perfect in all other ways. The rooms are well appointed, clean, well maintained, ideal for 2 or 3 families with children traveling together. The beach is easily accessible through a boardwalk a few feet from the house, and the neighborhood is perfect for cycling, playing tennis, swimming in the private pool or the bigger community pool.

Rome. GaExcellent home with everything you need
Left on 06/29/2009 for a stay in June 2009
The home was outstanding in having all the utensils for cooking meals. We cooked 5 of our seven nights for 13 people and it was great. The home is arranged very well and comfortably accomedated everyone. The bunk bed room was very useful.
The only minor draw backs were a smaller pool than experienced at other St George homes (this is our 3rd home), not a great view of the ocean, and lack of a good grill.
Overall, however, the home was great! -

Marietta, GABest home we have ever rented on St. George
Left on 01/27/2009 for a stay in June 2008
House accomodated 5 children/teens and 6 adults and 2 dogs. We loved the floor plan and the living area. The kitchen was more than adequate (house we previously rented in '06 and '07 had small kitchen)as we cook a main meal every evening. We prefer the Casa del Mar area as enjoy being within walking distance of the cut. If it weren't for the current status of the economy - we're retired and have lost substantial investment funds - we'd rent Casablanca for '09. As it is, we'll have to wait until better times.
P.S. - This is the second time I've done this review. What happened to the first review? -

We had a great time, we brought a couple from
Germany, and they really enjoyed the week.
We had a casualty mid week, my son-in-law, fell off his boat and crushed his elbow, and
spent several hours in a nearby hospital, He
has recovered fully, and hope to visit St.
George this summer.
