Our time at Goodnight Moon could not have been better. The accomodations were great, the location even better. It was a restful and enjoyable week. We look forward to returning again. Resort Vacation Properties were wonderful to work with, no problems whatsoever.

The Reservation Specialists were very patient with us as we narrowed down our choices for our annual Girls Weekend Get-a-Way. The home was cozy, a little smaller than we anticipated but still perfect for us. The top floor guests were the envy of the rest of us all with its peaceful, relaxing view. The additional bedrooms were spacious. The elevator is an absolute must...lots of steps in this home! The home was located very close to the boardwalk and we enjoyed the easy beach access. We also enjoyed the view of the bay from the porch. We love the Sunset Beach community and look forward to our stay each year.

We have used Resort Vacation Properties for 2 yrs and plan to use RVP again this year..This was also the 2nd yr. we stayed in this Gated Community. It has been a pleasure dealing with RVP...Goodnight moon was everything we expected and more. This is a wonderful house was very comfortable for our family..

We had a family vacation that included my wife and I, her two sisters and their husbands and kids. The house was beautiful and the amenities were excellent. All of the adult couples and two groups of kids each had a bedroom with a private bath. The living space is large and comfortable with plenty of soft seating, dvd, stereo, tv, books, games, etc. There are spectacular views in literally every direction with the open ocean on one side and the bay on the other. Less than 50 yards from the house the State beach begins and it continues for the next ten miles! There are virtually no people on that ten mile stretch and there are no buildings. This is a very special paradise that has been preserved in spite of development pressures. The island is connected to the mainland by a bridge/causeway so it's just a short drive to apalachicola and other towns. There are fresh seafood trucks selling the daily catch. Our favorite was Dave's. He parks his yellow truck across from the St. George Island Trading Company and is generous with everything he offers. This is a very quiet, beautiful destination that is geared for outdoor living and a complete getaway from the pressures of daily life. There aren't a lot of night clubs or bars but there are a few if you have a mind. There are several operators who offer kayak tours, fishing, etc. We did a sunset kayak tour with Journeys. The owner, a lady named Dale from australia came along on our paddle as a secondary guide. She and our main guide were both terrific. We ended at some oyster shoals and the guides shucked while we ate the freshest oysters you can get anywhere. We rented Goodnight Moon through Resort Vacation Properties. Special thanks and acknowledgement is due to Dale Kingon of that organization. He was very accommodating, patient and helpful throughout the process.

Love Sunset Beach! We stay here every year and always have wonderful service. We have stayed in 5 different homes here and have never been unsatisfied.

Our near-perfect stay was painfully marred by a non-working elevator in the unit. A fireplace that had no fuel and couldn't work through the cold weekend, as well as a non-functioning stereo/dvd audio system were certainly lows too. An office staff that couldn't help whatsoever for days added to this. And a trade-off at the last minute as an offer for a free extra night was nice but unable to be used since life and jobs awaited all of us and that change still brought no promise of elevator or gas for the fireplace.
For the premium price charged, one would hope for a unit that had passed an inspection of essential features before renters arrived. Sadly not the case with Vacation Rental.Response from Resort Vacation Properties of St. George Island - 07/02/2010

Thank you for taking the time to respond to our request for feedback. We are truly sorry that some of the amenities and Goodnight Moon were not functioning properly during your weekend stay and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. The elevator required extensive repairs and those repairs were recently completed and no further problems have been reported. We apologize that the fireplace could not function during your visit. As it turns out there was a bad gauge on the tank which showed there was gas when there wasn’t. Since your visit the gauge has been replaced and no further issues have been reported. With regards to the stereo system, the guest prior to you used it with no issues and it was only when you reported it that we became aware of the problem. A new stereo system was installed right after your stay. Again, we apologize that you left unsatisfied and that we were unable to fulfill your maintenance requests sufficiently prior to your departure. Should you choose to visit St. George Island in the future, we hope you will give us the opportunity to earn your trust again.

The home was great, beautiful views and nice furnishings. The only negative,
and it was a big negative, is that the AC unit for the lower floors with 3
bedrooms on it did not work. We called the office and they said it would be
Monday before they could get anyone out to it... we were scheduled to check
out on Sunday.

Home was great. Great neighborhood. We had to move from another unit mid trip which ruined a full day. Communication with agency was not great. We were kicked out of first house day before we arrived. Was placed into a replacement, but had to be out mid trip. Replacement house was not yet cleaned and we were told we would be called when done. late afternoon we got tired of waiting for new home and just showed up. It was open, 85% clean and we went ahead and unloaded. Finally got called hours later. It was an unfortunate experience. Home was wonderful.

The weekend of November 14, 2009 was beautiful at St. George for my neice's wedding. My family stayed in GOOD NIGHT MOON and we loved the accomodations. The house is so comfortable and well stocked, too. I had a brunch for out of town guests there on Saturday morning. About 30 people came and mingled on the balconies and in the living area. It was very nice. Other family members rented houses that I did not like as well as GOOD NIGHT MOON. Our elevator was very important because my elderly mother stayed with us. The elevator worked well. Other houses did not have such good luck with their elevators. We did have a problem with the bathroom on the main level. The glass shower enclosure was not attached to the wall. If I had not noticed this, there could have been a terrible accident. I did report this before leaving. I hope that this problem has been taken care of before other guests attempt to use the shower. The location of this development is excellent. You can see the beach from the front windows and the bay from the rear windows. I would stay here again! Thank you.

Our family of 4 adults and 3 children (ages 3-6) had a great stay at Good Night Moon. The kitchen was just perfect for multiple cooks. Also the 3rd floor suite worked out great for the kids and was well equipped with games and movies. The stairs can get a little tricky for very young children, but ours seemed to do just fine. Good access to the nice, quiet beach and we also had a chance to use the pool which the kids enjoyed quite a bit.

We really enjoyed our stay at Goodnight Moon. It was spacious and had all the amenities we needed. We enjoyed the views of the bay from the back porch and the closeness of the ocean from our front door. I love St. George Island and look forward every year to spending a week on this beautiful island. There is no better place to go if you want to just sit on the beach all day. No crowds, amusement parks, miniature golf, etc. This is the place to go to escape all the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We'll be bach year after year!

This was our 4th time staying in a home in Sunset Beach. This house was definately in the top two we have stayed out. The house was clean and beautifully appointed and all the appliances worked! We brought a couple with us that had never stayed at St. George and they were blown away. We will defiantely stay here again if our plans allow.
