We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Las Custro Hermanas. The house was big enough to accomadate all 16 of us, though it would be nice if there was another bathroom. One bedroom has no access to a bathroom. The house did show some wear and tear from earlier storms and could use a little spiffing up. painting, screens replaced etc.. An icemaker was about the only appliance that really would be another great addition. Will be in touch about a reservation for summer of 2013. Really liked the easy check-in process you have initiated.

The shortcomings were trivial and handled. The provided cleaning-crew midway throught the month was a nice surprize. The table on the screened porch was perfect for the kids meals (and no other place seems to have one).

The location of Las Cuantro Hermanas in the Plantation and by the Cut is perfect, but we would not rent that particular house again nor recommend it to others because it needs work. Resort Vacation Properties was great about coming to the house and making repairs when we called (i.e. removing the shredded screens, hammering down nails that were poking out on the wood steps, etc. etc.), but the house is old and needs to be updated and repaired. Also, the bedrooms are very small. The shower heads were corroded. Our vacation was wonderful, though, because of the friends we were with and because we love St. George Island.

Rates for the 2010 season have recently been approved by the homeowners and Las Cuatro Hermanas will remain the same for 2010, as well as 2011. We believe St. George Island is a unique family destination and we intend to keep it affordable for everyone. We have also established some new, very significant specials. When you book 9 months in advance, you will receive a 15% discount. Book 6 months in advance and get 10% off and get 5% off when you reserve at least 3 months in advance. Each of these specials can be combined with the Repeat Renter Discount of 5% off. After visiting with us for the last 12 years, we hope that you will reconsider and join us again this year. Your patronage is very valuable to us and we want you to be able to continue to enjoy your escapes on St. George Island.

This is a large home and it is recommended by us highly because of value. It is not as luxuriously appointed as some, but it has everything one needs plus. It sleeps 17 and that is really comfortably. It has no neighboring house to the west for at least three lots and that can be very good, either for you or for your neighbors. It has a great hot tub (though we had little use of it due to a broken part til late in the week). The kitchen is well equipped, large projection tv in the family room. There is a large, glass topped dining table. If you have a lot of kids, do what we did and bring a tablecloth. Helps a lot. Very nice boardwalk to the beach, and because of the vacant lots to the west, a lot of open beach. (In fairness, we have been going to Plantation properties on St. George Island for years and have never felt crowded on the beach).
When you have 17 people the washer/dryer are always going and it worked fine. We cook a lot and the electric range was a bit challenging. Perhaps because we are gas folks at home. AC worked fine. Unforturnately, the deck screws used outside on the steps, especially street side, were not stainless and we had a couple of steps that needed repair, but maintenance responded well. They should all be redone. Since the location is almost all the way to the end of the Plantation, it is more than four miles just to get to the exit of the Plantation. Not a big deal unless you plan to leave a lot. Great time, great house for the money/capacity.
