Saint George Island has become our favorite vacation spot. It has been a place for our family to gather and spend a relaxing time together. Scarborough Fair was a very comfortable home for our week together. The location on the beach offered a beautiful view and gave us the ability to walk out of the house and straight to the beach with ease. Scarborough Fair is also close to the community pool giving us this additional option as an activity. The paths through the Plantation were convenient for walking or riding our bicycles. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would choose to stay at Scarborough Fair again.

Great location, great beach and pool. House needs much deferred maintenance. Ac system very poor - upstairs hot, downstairs cold.
Would look for a better house in Plantation. Service = excellent -

We last rented this property about 10 years ago. It was nice then but it is obvious now that nothing has been updated since then and that it has not been maintained. You can get slivers on the decks and stairs, sometimes even while wearing flip-flops. The porch screens were full of holes and the porch itself had wasp infestation and wood trim was hanging off the siding. Usually, it is just my wife and I who visit and stay in St. George and the Plantaion. Unfortunately, we had two grown children and a friend with us. I was somewhat embarrassed and apologixed to them about the condition of this property.

We have stayed at Scarborough Fair 2 or 3 times. It is the ideal layout for a family of 4. We loved the beach access, the views, the location and the porch. When we can afford to, we will be back. We wouldn't stay anywhere else on St. George.

Rates for the 2010 season have recently been approved by the homeowners and Scarborough Fair will remain the same for 2010, as well as 2011. We believe St. George Island is a unique family destination and we intend to keep it affordable for everyone. We have also established some new, very significant specials. When you book 9 months in advance, you will receive a 15% discount. Book 6 months in advance and get 10% off and get 5% off when you reserve at least 3 months in advance. Each of these specials can be combined with the Repeat Renter Discount of 5% off. We have also initiated a new payment plan that was implemented to assist our guests, please see our website for more information. Your patronage is very valuable to us and we want you to be able to continue to enjoy your escapes on St. George Island.

Very nice we enjoyed the layout of this house, and the open great room. The only problem was we rented it for a screen porch and that was connected to the great room. Because the screens had so many holes in them we were not able to leave the door between them open for the breeze. They did come and fix some but it was just in too bad a shape to repair it all.

We had a wonderful week at Scaraborough Fair. The house was clean and perfect for all our crowd.We had my parents and 4 teenage boys. The only issue was the ice maker couldn't keep up with the demand. That was easily fixed by buying bags of ice. Everyone had plenty to keep them busy from reading and relaxing on the deck (what a view!), bike riding,swimming at the beach and girl watching for the boys! I would recommend bringing beach towels and chairs. My husband and I have been coming to St. George since our days at Florida State and it still remains our favorite beach. I would definately stay in this house again.
