Loved this home. This is our second trip to St George but the first time in this home. Pretty great for our small family. A few updates would put this place over the top. Master bath could use some love and the livingroom furniture had holes. The other home we stayed in actually had chairs that we could take out on the beach. Beach chairs at Sea Song would be nice. A few updates and we will come back every year.

We have rented from Resort Vacation Properties, for the past twenty years. They tend to rent high-end homes. We rented Sea Song for the location, and the price, since I have been unemployed for the past year. The home is nice for two people. The guest bedroom does have the aC unit in the closet, and is twin beds. The bathroom for the guest is very large, and outdated, however; it is fine. Parking vehicles, it is great for one car; second car would have to park on the shoulder of the road. There is no concrete under the house, only on the driveway. Allowing pets works great for some. The home apparently has a ghost of a dog, or someone with dogs previously rented the home. The couch or rug smelled like a dirty wet dog, I guess if you rent your home, with the intent to guest with pets that is what happens. Personally, future bookings I will look for homes, which do not allow dogs. We have two large dogs, which we love dearly and miss them while on vacation, but they are yard dogs.

We have rented in St George and Cape San Blas area for many years. We have rented many places. Sea Song is a pretty little place. Exceptionally clean, Beautiful view, and private. We thoroughly enjoyed. Our only concern was there were no stairs to exit the back porch. This home was near perfect for our family of 4 and our small dogs. The home has a nice split bedroom layout and a bathroom for each bedroom. The kitchen was roomy for a home this size and easy to move around in. We love the beachfront porch. The only thing that didn't make the house perfect was that there were no stairs to the boardwalk from the porch. But overall a nice home for the price.

Have stayed at this property twice now and already have it booked for next year. Love the covered back deck. Great view and plenty of shade. The kitchen is well stocked. Needs a new coffee maker, takes 30-45 minutes to make a pot of coffee. Had to rewash some of the dishes prior to use but I understand housekeeping can't do all this between rentals. Renters should just rinse dishes good before putting in dishwasher.

we had to clean the house before we could unpack (after a 7 hour drive). the kitchen utensils, appliances (small & large) need to be replaced. There were clumps of dog hair under everything from multiple dogs & appeared the furniture hadn't been moved for very long time. There was a broken chair (pieced together) at the table, which could have resulted in a serious injury.These are issues that should be addressed. If my stay had been shorter, I wouldn't have been so tolerant, but once the cleaning was out of the way I enjoyed the rest of my stay.

The location of Sea Song was perfect, we especially enjoyed the deck, which is covered and provides a reprieve from the sun. The close proximity to the ocean allowed us to use a kayak throughout the days, plenty of fishing and visits from dolphins. Awesome!

I love Sea Song. So much so, that we are coming back on June 6th! This time, I will be traveling with my spouse, my adult daughter and our 2 dogs. The view is great, the accomodations are excellent. I am most anxious to see the roof that has been put over the deck since I was there in November. I plan to come back to Sea Song for years to come. There are just a few minor improvements that could be made to make the stay even better: new glassware and coffee mugs would be a real plus; make sure there is a working tv and dvd player in the unit and paint the downstairs door.

We rented this property for the month of Feb. based on the description and photos on line. We wanted beach front and for the price, expected the property to be small and simple, but we also expected it to be clean, in good condition and look as good as the photos. We were sick with disappoinment when we saw it. The deck was a mess. There was black rot on the windows, the 2 plastic deck chairs were stained with black mold and the table had a leg missing and a large hole in the top. The carpeting had holes in it. The woodwork was dirty and horribly scratched up.
On the first night the furnace was so noisey that I went to look at it. Luckily for us, we discovered black mold all over the furnace room walls. The next morning we went to the office and told them our concerns. After an inspector confirmed the black mold, they found another property that was much much nicer for us to transfer to. Myself and two friends stayed there for 4 nights early Nov. 2009. The house was absolutely perfect. Well equipped, clean, nicely decorated, even better than we expected! Right on the ocean. So quiet and peaceful and the STARS at night. Wow!
This is the type of beach we were looking for - not commercial! Just bring a good book, some wine, make a low country boil and then in the evening starwatch! Can't remember the last time I actually saw the Milky Way!
We also were able to get fresh seafood from Doug's Seafood trailer and it was the best!
We are already planning a trip there to the same house next year, but this time for an entire week! It was the best beach vacation ever. I HIGHLY recommend this house and Resort Vacation Properties of SGI.

The house is very well located right on the beach. Although the house was
clean and all needed equipment was provided (thank you!), the house was in a
state of disrepair, with rotting floors that in places you could see through to
the ground below, old linoleum, old carpet, broken doorknobs, rust on metal
surfaces, and so on. The lack of a covering over the porch was not much of a
problem for us (staying in November) but in the summer it would be
unpleasant. On the positive side, the rent was very reasonable and the
location was excellent. Another positive is that it isn't one of those huge
ridiculous mac-mansions, which are so off-putting and wasteful. The classic
beach-cottage size was just right for us, and the price was very affordable.
But it needs a full time handyman, carpenter, and then a remodeler and a

Sea Song was very comfortable and pleasant.
The two inconveniences were the noise that the refrigerator and the air conditioning unit made. The air conditioning is in a closet in the bedroom and it was very loud. So was the refrigerator.
The only other negative was the fact that there is no stairway from the back deck down to the ground, so youhave to go all the way around the front to get to the beach.
Other than that, the house was great and easy to enjoy! -

This place was a dump. The only nice thing about it was the beach. None of the electrical outlets worked, the power would surge when you would turn on the microwave, and there were bugs everywhere. This is definitely the worst house on the island. I do not recommend this house to anyone.

We rented this house on price alone. It was the lowest priced one we
found on the beach front. It was clean and serviceable. The reason I
cannot recommend it is for the rental fee, I was expecting a bit more
comfort, less old and worn carpet, furniture, countertops, etc. The
furniture was not comfortable. (The bed was ok, but that was all.) The
TV was tiny, the CD player cheap. There was no Internet service, and
in today's world, that is surprising.
I recommend spending more money for a higher level of comfort and
"fit and finish" to everything. -

Sea Song is a great little house. We brought our two medium sized dogs, and they very much enjoyed having the large back deck for play and naps, and as it is entirely surrounded by pickets, we felt secure they would not slip out an open door or gate. (Perhaps small dogs could fall through the pickets.) The kingsized bed was wonderful, a great mattress, and we were very comfortable sleeping. We liked that the house was not overly decorated or filled with fragile/expensive items that the dogs (or us!) might knock over or damage. The appliances and systems all worked as they should. There is a small partial roof over part of the back deck, and we only wished there were a bit more roof, as the sun can get pretty fierce back there. Other than that, we had a great week at Sea Song; the management company was responsive to our few minor requests, we had plenty of towels and really no problems at all. It's not a boutique kind of house - it's a straightforward beach house. We also liked being able to park our vehicle under the house, so it stayed relatively clean and cool.

Stayed at Sea Song for extended weekend. We have been coming to St. George for several years and usually stay in another rental but it was unavailable this trip - which was unfortunate.
Sea Song is ok - nothing special. Relatively clean, but somewhat borderline in need of updating. Probably wouldn't stay there again.
Like I said, I have been coming to St. George for many years and it has been my experience that when you find a rental you like - stick with it. Sea Song was not that rental. -

We spent two wonderful weeks at the Sea
Song Beach House and had a great time. The
house is located right on the beach so you wake up to great sun rises and end the day with fabulous sun sets. Everything was in order when we arrived, and we were pleased to
learn that the pictures online matched the home We'd definitely recommend this house - especially if you're bringing kids or dogs and want the beach for your backyard. We and the dogs had a wonderful relaxing vacation! We'll be back - as usual- to spend our vacation in St. George Island.
My advice is to bring your own towels for the dogs - everything else is taken care of. -

Our family enjoyed the home during our week stay, but there were some issues with the safety of the home. There was a hole in the floor,although you couldn't see it because it was under the carpet. I found it because I stepped in that spot and my foot went down about 6 inches. A spot in the ceiling in the living room leaks when it rains, and the railing on the deck was so loose that I was afraid to let the kids play out there alone. My husband and I reported these issues to the rental property managers, and we received a discount on our stay. I only hope that they have since repaired the above mentioned for future renters. I would rent from Resort Vacation Properties again, just not that home.

This home is very comfortable and clean. Its prime location - oceanfront on a peaceful beach - makes it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the incredible view. The open floorplan is ideal for the cook to socialize while preparing meals. Lastly, if you like to fish, just walk to the beach cast off - very good fishing!

I absolutely loved the location, right on the beach, wonderful. Having 2 very active dogs, quick beach access was great, and they also loved the deck....so did we! Only issues were, not enough hot water for everyone to have a shower,had to wait or have a quick warmish shower, and the front outdoor lighting was somewhat inadequate. The bulb in the front fixture kept burning out. Also, the sun shade on the deck was ripped.
