My son, his wife, two small boys and I rented the house the last week of July 2011 and we loved the house and the island! It was just what I needed as I had torn my carotid artery in June and Serenity Now and the island offered a wonderful healing retreat. The house was so peaceful and welcoming! If only I could have stayed for my entire convelesance! :) Everyone had a wonderful time and the house was perfect for us! We arrived around midnight and everyone was so tired but glad to finally be there. The house offered easy access, was very clean, welcoming, and ready for our arrival. The boys (4 and 6) were so excited, and after inspecting the home, the littlest one paid it the highest compliment that he could think of after a 17 hour drive. He clapped his little hands and said that the house was pretty like a girl. :) The beach access was easy, offering a very short stroll to a beautiful spot on a beautiful island. We loved the local places to eat and the park was fabulous, with many spots to be alone with ones' thoughts and enjoy the lovely surroundings. We found the local residents to be very gracious and friendly and the selection of fresh seafood was wonderful. Thank you so much for a wonderful week in a warm, welcoming home in a lovely and peaceful location!

FAMILY Reunion Week
Left on 07/01/2009 for a stay in June 2009 | REX
We were excited about the week. First time in St. Geo. Had traveled 6 hrs. Got to the house at 5:15pm SUN & there was a lady there who said she had just gotten there_checking it over, we weren't sure if it had been cleaned or not! Refrig was warm inside. We had lots of food to put in! Beds were made. One towel per person! One dish towel/dish rag, NO dish soap. Didn't have time that evening to go out shopping. Was told there would be milk, etc. to get started. Called maintenance on MON, huge spider on ceiling over dining rm table that had build a web with eggs in it, someone came next day and just sprayed around the baseboard in kitchen & not were I explained the spider was. Spider continued to come out occasionally, kids afraid to sit at table. For the fee we paid, I expected more than what we got. Not even on the beach! Would not return to Serenity Now. Does the owner know some of these things? Read more
Response from Resort Vacation Properties of St. George Island - 11/04/2010
We apologize that your stay in Serenity Now did not exceed your expectations. It appears that most of the problems you experienced were a result of our services and for that, we are very sorry and we offer the following responses. During High Season, we guarantee check-in by 6:00 pm because of the high turnover on the weekends. It is not unusual for our cleaners and inspectors to still be in homes this late to ensure that our standards are being met and it sounds like you met one of them. Upon reviewing the home's calendar, it was not occupied the week before which explains why the refrigerator was warm. We turn the thermostat up when the home is vacant as part of our energy efficiency efforts and turn it back down on the day of arrival of the next guest. The fact that you were greeted by an inspector and the refrigerator was still warm, it sounds like that must have been a busier day than usual and again, we apologize that the home wasn't fully prepped by the time you arrived. We provide two towels per person so I hope you were able to call our towel hotline to request more - although this never should have happened. We also provide two dish towels - again, we can offer no explanation. Probably the most disturbing aspect of your feedback is the possibility that someone on our staff said that we provide food items. We do provide starter supplies of paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags and other items, but we have never supplied food items, nor do we advertise such. We will take steps to insure this never happens again. It's good to hear that pest control was sent out immediately, but we apologize that the spider in question wasn’t exterminated properly. We have passed this information on to our maintenance department to be sure our contracted pest control personnel are servicing our guests properly. We are sorry for the discomfort this caused the children. With regards to the location of the home not being on the beach, it has never been advertised as such and we don’t know where this confusion came from, but we are truly sorry for your disappointment. Again, we apologize that your stay at Serenity now did not exceed your expectations. Should you choose to visit St. George Island again in the future, we hope you will give us the chance to serve your vacation rental needs. We pride ourselves in having a wide range of properties available to suit all types of requirements & price ranges. Our reservation specialists are very knowledgeable about our properties and would be more than happy to suggest some homes to you for your next visit.

We enjoyed a month stay at Serenity Now and it was our first time in this house. It was decorated very nice and the kitchen was especially nice. It was great to have a table large enough for all of us. The pool area was great with the nice "heavy" aluminum table and chairs--so much nicer than the plastic chairs usually left at vacation homes. The Renter's closet was a great idea, too. The rooms were spacious, however, we would have preferred a double/queen in the one room that had bunks, but it was okay. This home is on the main drag, but the shrubbery kept us from hearing any traffic. Short walk to the beach was fine (5 minutes-max). Will definitely consider this house again. Resort Vacation Properties were especially accomodating with everything practically done by email.

This home was beautiful! We had a family Thanksgiving with my husband's brother who owns a smaller house on the island. Everyone hung out at this house. The kitchen had everything I needed to cook a huge Thanksgiving dinner! The bedrooms were adorable! We had a great time!
