From start to finish we had a wonderful time at the Solitude. This was our 4th trip to St. George Island and our third time staying at the Solitude. Everything was at our fingertips and if we needed maintenance they were there very quickly and efficiently. A wonderful experience, fully stocked home, clean and well cared for.

We had visited Solitude a year before we made reservations for our 40th
Anniversary with our family. We liked what we saw and reserved it, hoping
that our family would like it as much as we did. Our vacation there
exceeded our expectations.
The property is configured perfectly for a large family. The beach view from
essentially all the bedrooms was fantastic. The home is configured to safely
house a family like ours with small children. The deck is built with secure
railings and the pool is safely separated from the beach and access to it is
easily monitored for children. The pool itself was perfect for adults and
children.
The spaciousness of the kitchen and dining area and porch allowed
sufficient space for our 4 children and their spouses and 8 grandchildren to
have meals in a comfortable manner. Bedrooms were spacious and with a
separate bath for each. All our family enjoyed it and stated that they would
like to come back sometime in the future.
Highly recommend Solitude.

This was a great place. We had everything. The place was clean and well designed. I would highly recommend this house for anyone who wants to get away from the crowded beaches and enjoy a house to yourself. The house was completely furnished with everything you can ask for. From videos to books to a full stocked Kitchen. Thanks for the best vacation ever.

My four sons and their families had plenty of space. The kitchen was marvelous for a crowd of chefs and fully stocked. The pool and hot tub were the crowd favorites. Beautiful beach for the little ones to build sand castles and the adults to walk. Great area for local shrimp. We also had a fun day roaming around Apalachicola. I would highly recommend this house for a large family.

We have been to SGI for 8 years. Family comes for 6 states and we all meet at SGI in the summer. We have stayed at several homes but in June 08 we had a wedding. We all have wanted to stay in one home and Solitude handled all of us. There were plenty of rooms and space. We were able to handle every during meals with plenty of kitchenware!! It is such a beautiful home with all the ameneties you could need or want. If you are looking for luxury, this house is perfect!

we love the closeness to the beach, we love the quiet beach-no big condos-
the house is lovely-kitchen very well equipped-
mosquitos are a down side-really bad in the evening, and one upstairs bedroom had ants--

Solitude is an amazing house perfect for families of all ages. We had
children ranging from just under 1 yr to 17 yrs. in addition to the
adults in the house. There was plenty of space for those needing
some time alone to unwind, and yet the layout of the main living area
was open enough that any or all could visit at the same time in
comfort. The proximity of the pool, beach, and balconies on the
house allowed moms with young children to relax with a baby monitor
as children napped, not missing a moment of their glorious vacation.
The kitchen was equipped with everything one could need to feed a
crowd and the screened porch allowed us to enjoy the outdoors even
during a brief rainstorm. Definitely a house we will be returning to in
the near future.... -

We have stayed at several house on the island, love the island so much, such a wonderful place to relax and get away from thing. We waited year after year to get a house called Mysterio and couldn't get it so we went to Solitude. It was just wonderful, most beautiful home ever, beaches wonderful, everything was just great. Didn't want to leave and when I saw the little picture up top of the house I wanted to go back so bad. Thanks for everything, we had 3 generations of family here and the most wonderful memories ever.

We packed this house with the max. amount of people and we had plenty of space. Kitchen was well equiped. The views of the Gulf were breath taking. Would stay in this home again and again. Great memories of this trip.
