      Hurricane Debby...

Left on 10/28/2012 for a stay in June 2012

Great location with all amenities needed...

Can't say too much about the place because we only stayed 8 hours before hurricane Debby, so kindly tourned her charm on us. We lost power about 3 in the morning and by 1:00 pm we were evacuating the island...Who knew we gonna get hit by the 2nd earliest storm in history???

      Nest time is Hawaii...

      A Great, relaxing Getaway...

Left on 01/24/2012 for a stay in May 2011

Villa Villekulla was as advertised, plus some. The only downfall to our vacation is that we had to leave. The Guy's spent lots of time on the kayaks catching redfish and trout while the ladies shopped in nearby appalachicola and spent time on the white beaches of St. George Island. The home had expansive decking, parking, grilling area and a nice dock for crabbing or to launch your kayak. Last but not least, the home is pet friendly and our Golden Retreiver Bailey absolutely loved this home as well.

Perfect for family on vacation who also have kids that have brou

Left on 01/23/2012 for a stay in June 2011

We are a family with 3 high school/college age kids who also brought friends on vacation. Villa Villekulla was the perfect size for our group of 8. It gave everyone their own bed, enough bathrooms for the teenage girls, plenty of room in the kitchen to move around and cook and multiple table space for eating. We didnt use the pool very much because we spent most of the time at the beach. The kids really liked that they had plenty of room to hang out and watch movies, play the Wii or play bored games. We enjoyed being able to sit out on the screened in porch to eat dinner. Having our own pier for fishing was a great convenience. Villa Villekulla is great for families with friends!!

      Exceeded our high expectations.

Left on 01/23/2012 for a stay in July 2011

We've been renting from Resort Vacation Properties (and its predecessor company) for more than 25 years. We loved the home and the amenities, and particularly the combination of easy access to the bay for our kayaks, closeness to the gate for bike expeditions and an enclosed pool area for the grandchildren.

We will rent again, and have already reserved this same home.

We are also very pleased with the new 9relatively in 25 years) check-in procedures. Remember the lines?

      Unique House with Many Perks

Left on 01/07/2010 for a stay in May 2009

My family has stayed at Villa Villekula two different times while vacationing at St. George Island. We have enjoyed our stay in the area for many years, and this house has been our favortite since we found it 3 years ago.

The house has many special touches provided by the owners which make you feel more like a guest in their home rather than a renter in a vacation property. There is even original artwork following the Pippi Longstocking theme, painted by one of the owners as well as photos of the owner's family.

There is plenty of room to spread out on the main floor of the house including a huge screened porch, spacious great room, and side porches facing the bay, one with a comfy hammock. Everyone has his own space in the many bedrooms and no one ever feels cramped. The appliances, HVAC and electronics are modern and kept in good repair. The screened-in pool is pleasant and refreshing, the entertainment system is very nice and the kitchen is large and adequate for making a quick snack or a full meal. The bedrooms and mattresses are very inviting and comfortable. There are even some board games and books in the house to give it a more "lived in" feeling. Parking under the house keeps your cars out of the weather. Many special touches make this one a must see on your list of properties.

We have spent many lazy afternoons and evenings at Villa Villekulla and always look at it first for availability when returning to the island. You can't go wrong with this property. We will be back in 2010, since we are already booked for another great week long stay.

      Great Place

Left on 01/28/2009 for a stay in June 2008

The Villa Villekulla is a beautiful home and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The house was even larger than it appeared from the pictures on the website. It was very clean and decorated well. The screened in pool and the dock were a bonus and our kids really enjoyed it.

      A Great Fall Excape

Left on 01/27/2009 for a stay in November 2008

We spent a great week in November at Villa Villekulla. Although we have spent time in this area of the Gulf in the past this was our first stay at St. George. We like the beach in the Fall although this stay was a little cooler than in the past and we couldn't spend every day on the beach or in the nice private pool. But there lots of things to see and do besides the beach.

The house was perfect for this trip with two of our best friends. Everything we needed was there for preparing some of our meals. And I particularly liked having the high speed internet.

This house is located in the gated Plantation Community which we found to be a great asset. We think this would be particularly important for families with children. We definitely plan to go back.

      A Breath of Fresh Air

Left on 01/16/2009 for a stay in October 2008

We really enjoyed staying at this home located in the Plantation on St. George Island. This was our sixth trip to the island so our expectations were high. We took a month vacation with family and lots of kids and there was always something for everyone to do. My husband spent most days fishing in the bay, the kids went to the beach, grandparents read in the hammock or on the dock, while I read or rode my bike. We fixed fabulous meals every night and had a wonderful time. The house was well "stocked" with appliances, books, TV's, movies, etc. and decorated nicely. The only thing we would have liked is for the third Bedroom on the main level to have been set up as a bedroom rather than an office with an unfunctional sleeper sofa. That was the only "snag" we had though. I would stay here again.
