Diamondhead Mississippivery relaxing and very secluded. .love it ...
Left on 05/29/2013 for a stay in May 2013
It was a very relaxing and secluded vacation ...exactly what I was looking for. The house we rented was very nice and clean ...best of all was on the beach ...with an excellent rate ..I will return for another visit ...the only problem I had during my stay was the loss of cable and Internet. I had request Internet due to business issues . It was very important to have Internet. I arrived on thursday and saturday morning Internet and cable were out. I called and reported it and they sent maintenance guy ...I never got either service back and left on monday ...

GeorgiaGreat location right on the beach with beautiful view and easy a
Left on 09/09/2012 for a stay in September 2012
This was a fun stay for our family of 6. This was a very well maintained and extremely clean and comfortable "house". We were right on the beach and that was our main priority. The only thing we didn't expect or care for was this is a duplex but the picture led us to believe it was a single house. It sits very close to a busy road so there is some traffic noise but that we adjusted to and because it was so close to the water we were ok with that. What we did encounter though was 2 nights of loud partying from 2 a.m. until 5 a.m. the first night and midnight to 4:45 a.m. the second night from the people next door. The two girls who rented the other half of the duplex went to their 10 year high school reunion and brought at least 30 loud alcohol induced friends back to their deck with them . If there is anyway to discourage that in the future, we would love to rent this place again, however, it would be nice if management could develop a method to screen their renters . Fun vacation except for disrespectful renters next door.

Columbia, MOSail away IV - Comfortable Unit for the Price
Left on 08/08/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We really enjoyed our stay on Saint Joe Beach. The Sail away IV is very close to the ocean and a wonderful beach. The unit itself was comfortable and well furnished. The rear door was very difficult to open and close and the screen was torn out of the screen door but we managed. The aC went out while we were in the unit and had to be replaced so we were without aC for several hours on 2 days of our 5 day stay but it wasn't a big deal. Overall I was please with the Sail away IV but probably would not rent it again because I have stayed in much better units.

Bunkie, LAGreat Getaway!!!
Left on 07/25/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We wanted a house on the beach that was a little secluded and quiet. This house fits the bill. Checking in was a breeze, the best part was proving that I was over 25 yrs. old. The home was furnished beautifully. Plenty of room! Kitchen was stocked with everything needed. We had a great time. Sailaway is located close to all the activities we wanted. My niece and son went parasailing, jetsking and horseback riding, had a great time. Sunsets from the deck were gorgeous!!
There were a few cons, the family who were next door were very loud and noisy one night. The couch needs some serious support. It rained and there were books, movies, or games. Several of windows and doors leaked. The stairs could use handrails and a set of stairs from the balcony to the beach would be a nice. The home is located in the Eastern Time Zone, but all the clocks were set for Central Time. This led to confusion. Everything said we would rent again. We really enjoyed our time.

We were very pleasantly surprised by the Sailaway IV experience. The staff at Forgotten Coast were charming and professional in all encounters. We had stayed the three previous summers on Cape San Blas, and this year we thought we'd try St. Joe Beach, since it was still dog-friendly but a little less pricey. The house was very nice, and we would happily come back. The water was much flatter than on the Cape, and that made launching a kayak easier. When we got there, the advertised DVD player was missing. One call to the management company, and there was a brand new (installed even) just four hours later. We could see the beach from the deck. Some houses that are advertised as beachfront are beachfront, but all you can see are the landward sides of the dunes. The view was everything you could want...water, surfline, beach, the whole deal. The beach goes for miles in both directions, so walks on the beach were great, too. The only negatives were the Saturday night bonfire / beach parties that the local teens/tweens did both Saturday nights we were there. The parties were loud and went past 3 in the morning. Fireworks, too.

Nashville, TNOverall a great stay, would recommend and would stay again.

I recently (5/16/12) stayed at Sail away IV, and had a great time. Really enjoyed the area, the scenery (especially), and definitely consider my trip to be one of the best vacations I've been on. Didnt have too much trouble checking in or out, although we were unfortunately not able to check in early. Not a big deal.
The Home-
About what I expected; dated but taken care of pretty well. Everything was clean, and aside from the oven not working and the fridge taking a few hours to get cold, was very happy with the house. The view from the back porch onto the ocean was amazing, and completely made up for any shortcomings. The beds were perfectly acceptable (did not use the fold out couch).
Location-
Beautiful, barely anyone on the beach, no noise once you got down to the beach (house is on the road). No complaints whatsoever. There was also a delicious food truck parked right across the street!
What I didnt like/what could improve-
-House could use a second trash can; 6 people generate a surprising amount of trash.
-Oven didnt work, fridge took quite a while to cool down. Neither issue was crucial for us, more like minor inconveniences.
That's about all i can think of. To summarize, completely happy with my stay and cant wait to come back!

We stayed here in april 2012 for a family reunion that was being held nearby. The home was very nicely furnished and clean. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the view from the back deck was fantastic. We had a small issue one of the toilets but after a phone call it was taken care of very quickly & efficiently.
Great place to stay!! -

The house is close to road and I think trash other reviewer spoke of was because work was being done to the property--resided etc. We found it very clean inside and as described. It was very close to the beach and the views are amazing. I would recommend bringing extra garbage bags, toilet paper, etc.

Atlanta, GASome good things, some not-so-good things
Left on 03/14/2012 for a stay in March 2012
Good things about this home: the proximity to the water is amazing, the dog friendly home and beach are a breath of fresh air, in general, it's a cute place.
Bad things about this home: generally run down bordering on trashy, broken screens let in tons of bugs and ended up with bug bites, trash was strewn around bottom of home in parking area. The worst part was the busy highway the house is on which is very loud and dangerous for children and pets.
With some TLC this house could be pretty great. The busy highway in the front of the house is a deal breaker however with the noise and traffic. -

Benton, ARAs always, Forgotten Coast Rentals are the Best!
Left on 08/17/2011 for a stay in August 2011
This was our third trip to Mexico Beach staying in Forgotten Coast Rental Properties but our first time in this particular rental. The home was clean and well-maintained and the access to the beautiful beach was incredible. The property is off by itself so we were not overrun with other people on the beach.
We could not get our computers to connect to the wireless internet and the Forgotten Coast manager brought his personal wireless hub from his home so that we would be able to use the internet. This kind of service is above and beyond what we expected.
Mexico Beach and St. Joe are beautiful and we are already planning our return trip next year. -

Waxahachie, TXExactly what we were looking for.
Left on 07/21/2011 for a stay in July 2011
As a family of four looking for a relaxing peaceful vacation we found it at Forgotten Coast Rental and Sail away IV. We essentially had our own private beach with the proximity of neighboring houses and people, and the water was a very short walk right out our back door. I took my shoes off on Sunday night and didn't put them back on until Thursday afternoon. The kids thoroughly enjoyed our trip. We would recommend Forgotten Coast Rental and Sail away IV.

GeorgiaVery relaxing!
Left on 05/13/2011 for a stay in May 2011
The house was clean, roomy, easy walk to and from the beach, close proximity to restaurants and activities. On our receipt, it said call for early check-in. We called once at the beginning of the check-in week and they were unable to give us early check-in. The agent said call back at the end of the week. We called late thursday, and she said she hasn't had time to check the house (5mi from her office) and she would call back. She never called back. We arrived 2 hours early and were allowed to check-in. Not knowing was an inconvenience for the extended family. Definitely rent the house again, from a different agency.

The employees at Forgotten Coast were so amazing. They helped my daughter print a paper for school since she was on spring break. The house was clean and great for our large family. Great location, on beach for girls and close to Port St. Joe for boys to go fishing. We had a great vacation and will be back again!!!
