Description from the owner

1,200 acres of Ozark Mountain paradise surround our custom log cabins, offering sweeping views, complete privacy and incredibly peaceful quiet. Your family or group can roam the entire ranch for hiking, fishing, creek swimming, mountain biking, and atv fourwheeling (Bring your own atvs). Even hunting privileges are included for FREE during hunting seasons. We can also recommend nearby canoe rentals for floating the Buffalo River or horseback riding stables that really shine at small group trail rides for even the youngest, most inexperienced riders.

    Additional Location Information

We're just South of the best canoe landing/ smallmouth bass fishing spot, and swimming hole in the middle section of Buffalo National River Park. And we're a short scenic drive from entertainment and shows at Branson, MO; antique shopping and art at Eureka Springs, AR; crafts and history at the Ozark Folk Center, caving on your own or at Blanchard Springs Caverns with a guide; more fishing and canoeing on the famous White River or at Bull Shoals Lake; world class golfing at Greers Ferry Lake, new Crystal Bridges Art Muesum and Biking/Hiking Trail, Ozark Medieval Fortress where they are building a genuine medieval castle, and most anything else in NW Arkansas or SW Missouri.

Centrally located for many attractions and easy to find right off a major highway, yet each cabin is tucked away in its own secluded atmosphere. It feels like stepping back in time to a more peaceful world.

There's even an old pioneer graveyard right on the property and lots of sign left by Native Americans over a hundred years ago. All ages can find lots to do right here, without ever leaving the property. But there's plenty of shopping and entertainment close by. There's
even a real drive-in movie theatre just up the road.

      Fantastic weekend

Left on 03/04/2013 for a stay in March 2013

We stayed in the Turney Homestead for our 30th anniversary. We loved it. The cabin is very rustic yet modern. It is like having your own homestead back in time. There is plenty of privacy since the cabins are spread out. The views are awesome. We wished it would have been warmer as we would have loved to have eaten meals on the screened in porch on the back of the cabin. The fireplace was really neat. There is so much to do outside if the weather permits. So we will be going back when it is warmer!!! So we can play in Bear Creek!! I can definitely see why they have return customers. It is a great place for people who travel with their dogs. Wonderful place.

      Best Vacation Ever

Left on 11/17/2011 for a stay in November 2011

We had a total of 14 in our group, adults and small children, and we all brought our 4 wheelers with. We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights in the Connor Cabin and it was our best vacation ever! It was nice to get away with the whole family and only wished we could have stayed longer. The Connor cabin allowed for all of us to have enough room to sleep and socalize. The trails for riding the quads were unbelievable!! We will be back again! Between all of us I think we came back with about 800 pictures!! The view were awesome as well. Even though there were people staying in another cabin, it still seemed private and couldn't have asked for more, thanks to Pat and Libby!

The best cabins on the Buffalo River

Left on 05/18/2011 for a stay in April 2011

I have been fortunate enough to come to the Buffalo River for the past 18 years. We have stayed in many different cabins over the years all over the Buffalo River area. Five years ago, we come across Bear Creek Cabins. Words cannot describe the beauty of this area as well as the charm of the cabins. Needless to say, we have not stayed anywhere else since we found Bear Creek Cabins. If you are looking for a wonderful experiece, a beautiful view, and a relaxing get a way, let me strongly encourage you to give Libby a call. You will be glad you did!!!

The view from the cabin is beautiful. Limestone bluffs are what face you from the porch. The the cabin is roomy and comfortable. A very good value for the area.

Great stay in great accommodations with great views

Left on 05/13/2011 for a stay in March 2011

This was our second stay at Conner Cabin and it was every bit as enjoyable as the first. The cabin is secluded and quiet, perched high on a hill overlooking the the farm homestead. The topography is stunning, with pastured valleys and hills and wooded ridges. We had a daily morning visit from the cows and on the last day saw part of the local elk herd in the valley. The cabin itself is comfortably furnished with room for 12 guests. There are three bathrooms, two showers, and a small kitchen. It is decorated somewhat rustically, but very comfortably.

The Buffalo River National Waterway is just a short distance down the road. There are several places to rent canoes/kayaks to spend the day on the river. In good weather, it is a remarkably beautiful float trip.

On the Conner property itself, Bear Creek bisects the valley and provides an excellent opportunity to fish for smallmouth bass and trout. The creek has a series of pools, rapids, and riffles that are very pleasant to walk along and fish.

Our entire family enjoyed our time here and look forward to returning again in the future.

The Lake House is a dream get away for us. We celebrated our honeymoon and 2nd year anniversary at the Lake House.
Libby and Pat are wonderful people who genuinely care about the comfort, security and the needs of their guests. The home is beautifully made with the smell of cedar throughout, awesome Bas Pro dinner set, and the country/ranch style décor welcomes you. It makes you feel like as though you stepped into another world so that you can focus on your stay rather than feel like you're still in the normal "whirl” of your life. (a.k.a. - true vacation!!!)
When you come to the Lake House, you only need food, clothing, personal items, your fishing pole and an aTV! (a camera is a must as well!!) The home is completely furnished inside and out including a grill, porch chairs, fire pit, boat and even some supplies for easier and safe fishing!
The best part about the Lake house was the beauty, peace, cows, fishing, relaxation and reading the stories in the journal!! We have absolutely no negative experiences with either of our stays. We will be back!! Time and time again!!
Thank you for such a great time, wonderful memories and allowing us to stay in your Lake House!!

A wonderful weekend with the people we love.

Left on 04/23/2011 for a stay in August 2009

What a beautiful place ! We live in the country but not like it is here. It is very quiet and peaceful. There were 9 adults and 7 children under age 6, we had plenty of room. We loved the fact that there was no through traffic so that our 7 grandkids could be free to run and play. They loved kicking their feet in the water at the dock the most, or the fishing, their boat rides in the lake, roasted hot dogs, cattle coming for a visit, lol, maybe it was the 4-wheeler rides at the other cabins that you can go to and have lots of fun too. Don't let me leave out the swimming in the creek after our 4-wheeler ride , they started stripping as soon as they saw water. My point is that there is so much to do that it's hard to choose a favorite thing. The adults had a great time too , many things to do but in our family it's all about the kids. When our kids and grandkids are happy , Pawpaw and Mawmaw are very happy ! It was truly a wonderful weekend with the people we love.

      Beautiful and Relaxing!!!

Left on 04/22/2011 for a stay in February 2009

Our first visit to Bear Creek Log Cabins was for Valentines Day and my husband and I stayed in the Turney Homestead. There was a little snow on the ground and we had a fire in the fireplace. Couldn't have asked for anything better!!! We had the most relaxing, peaceful, and of course romantic time.
We decided to come back the next summer and bring the whole family. We then stayed in the Ferguson Cabin. And we also had family staying in the the Turney and the Conner. We all brought 4-wheelers and had the greatest time. The cabins are all beautiful and kept so clean. The views are spectacular. We would spend the day at the creek or going to the Buffalo. We even went to Mt. View and enjoyed some shopping. We would get together at one cabin every evening and cook out and enjoy the beautiful sunset!!! We made alot of great memories. One in particular is when we all went for a ride one night and at the top of a hill we all stopped and turned off the 4-wheelers, the sky was so clear and full of stars it was mesmerizing!!! We sat and talked and took in the beauty of it all!!! Awesome family time!!!
We have a trip planned this summer to stay in the Ferguson Cabin again. Bringing the grandchild for her first visit!! We can't wait!! This is definately going to be a family tradition!!

Relaxing by the fire at the Turney Cabin. View from behind the Ferguson Cabin. Bear Creek in the valley below the cabins. Great place to play!!!!

Couldn't possibly have a better experience along the Buffalo

Left on 04/21/2011 for a stay in May 2009

I have stayed in many cabins along the Buffalo River over the years and I regret not finding this cabin sooner. I will only stay with Libby and Pat from now on when I come back to the Buffalo. It is truly a diamond in the rough among the arkansas hillsides. No pun intended. I can assure you that you and yours can only have an amazing experience with any one of these cabins.

I've stayed at all of the cabins at Bear Creek Log Cabins. It's our favorite place to be in the Ozarks! Each cabin has it's own special features - beautiful scenery, complete modern kitchens, decorator decor, outdoor fire pits, private lake...way too much to mention. The owners are amazing folks - hospitality plus! I recommend them to all my friends and happy to leave them a 5 Star Rating!
