La Tete Rouge was a wonderful place to stay! We had a group of 7 adults and there was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. The outdoor space is amazing. The pictures are accurate of the house (no trick photography), and I think it even looks better in person. I can't wait to stay there again. Any minor issues with the house Catered To addressed immediately and they were great to work with.

We stayed at Chateau La Tete Rouge the last week in July, 2012 with extended family. This villa is extraordinary and has all the amenities anyone could need for a lovely vacation. Far enough away from everyone yet close enough to shopping and down town Cruz Bay. The views are top-notch from the great room and it was wonderful to drink our coffee in the morning on the porch with wonderful breezes. The pool and deck is where we spent most of our afternoons after day trips to the beach. It is wonderful to have a bathroom outside right near the pool and the patio furniture is comfortable and luxurious. If you put a little bowl of sugar water on the patio table, the birds will fly right up and have a drink. Friendly iguanas come out in the afternoon to sun themselves and we also saw deer below the deck.
I really appreciate the Tervis cups because they keep your drinks cold, don’t leave rings and are perfect for cocktails by the pool. I was very impressed with the quality of dinner and kitchen ware. We had everything we needed to make dinners at the villa. My only caveat might be it is time to sharpen the knives.
This villa is perfect for 3 couples vacationing together because each bedroom has its own bathroom. The lower 2 bedrooms are separate from the upstairs and there is enough privacy for everyone. I especially loved the serene meditation spot on the deck. A perfect place for yoga or prayer, and I would sit peacefully there every morning.
The driveway can be a challenge, just back in. The villa has beach chairs and great beach towels and the Catered To management was wonderful and responsive. We are already excited about our trip to the villa next year. -

Clt Rouge is a wonderful high end location. Good size place for a small(2-4) group. The pool and views, which are high priority to my wife and I, were top notch. The physical facility is high end and well maintained. Being "up the hill a bit" is also very desirable in the hot season. Only draw back was inconsistent internet & cell phone access - probably needs an equipment upgrade. But,TV works fine all the time. Wife and I agreed we would definitely return to this Beautiful Place!!!

Loved our stay. The villa had everything that we could ever need--beach towels, snorkeling equipment, beach chairs that worked!! The views were spectacular, the pool delightful, the hot tub relaxing, the veranda wonderful for reading. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfortable!! We hope to bring our family back soon.

Our 7 day stay at Chateau La Tete Rouge was so great...beautiful pool, cabana and an amazing deck and furniture. This villa has beautiful furnishings throughout. It's a wonderful open design...looking out to sea along the South Shore of St. John. Handsome wood and brickwork and landscaping make the villa very nice indeed. Only 10 minutes drive to several markets and Cruz Bay...an ideal location if you don't care to drive too far for supplies and restaurants.
Our 'welcome" package of food and drinks was a nice surprise and the staff at Catered To was always helpful.
We have stayed at several other villas on St. John and this was one of the very best!

We visited La Tete for 9 days over the Christmas holidays. Wow! What a great first impression, especially with the new teak decking around the pool and the sunken hot tub. These improvements are beautiful. We were met at the ferry station, taken to the car rental company and then accompanied to the villa. We can all agree that the roads on St. John are an adventure and the driveway at the villa is no exception. The driveway is really the only downfall of the house. The open-aired style is terrific, with gentle breezes constant. This villa has all the comforts of home and offers beautiful views of passing ships. It is convenient to town and you are within a 15 minute drive of nearly everything great on the island. There were 8 of us, including our 20 year old and 15 year old son and my parents and all found the villa immensely enjoyable and up to par in all aspects. We are experienced villa renters and this is one of our top picks ever.

This is the seventh or eighth year we have stayed on St. John, and by luck, stayed at La Tete Rouge the first year, and have never changed. Our feeling is that when you have an excellent experience, there is no reason to change it. It is a great place to stay, and the pool deck extension makes it even better.

La Tete Rouge is by far the most beautiful, well laid out vacation home I've ever rented. The pool area is so welcoming we even spent one afternoon just lounging at the house. Very high quality in every aspect from the warm welcoming at the ferry, goodie basket, towels and linens, mid-week cleaning, landscaping, lighting, everything! I highly recommend.

My family of 6 stayed recently at Chateau La Tete Rouge, and really enjoyed our time. The home is layed out very beautifully, with wonderful views and utmost privacy. Our boys enjoyed the pool, while we relaxed in the sun and shade with the overlooking vista, taking day trips to the many gorgeous beaches and to walk and visit around Cruz Bay.
The staff at Catered To helped us get grounded, after much difficulty with flights- arriving on the last ferry to St. John at midnight. We were greeted, and helpfully taken to our villa to begin our most relaxing vacation week ever. Thanks Catered To! -

The first time we experienced St. John was five years ago and we reserved La Tete Rouge after viewing the website online. It looked great online, and it was. Our sixth consecutive year is coming up at the end of July 2009. I am sure there are other excellent villas, but for us, it is La Tete Rouge every year. We normally reserve the next year within a month of returning home. The location, views, and layout are great and perfectly fit the needs of our family of five or six adults and one small grandchild. The covered open air veranda looking out to St. Croix on the horizon (on a clear day) is our favorite place. We have always been treated with hospitality and as long as that continues, we will be staying at La Tete Rouge.
