Beautiful sunsets and close enough to Cruz Bay to walk to town. The snorkling off Gallows Point was great and we did 5 or 6 other sites during our 10 day stay. Loved the house with its views and full kitchen. This place is great for 1 or 2 couples and Tommy (house manager) was a hugh help. This place was a great value...be sure to take a boat out to see some beautiful coral.

Cary, NCBest home away from home on Sjusvi
Left on 09/18/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We shared this wonderful cottage with our adult daughter, my brother-in-law and his wife for a long weekend in august. Seaview's location was perfect as it is just a quick walk down the hill into Cruz Bay and all of its restaurants and shops. The cottage has two comfy bedrooms, a nice living room, a large well-stocked kitchen and two great patio areas off of each side of the kitchen. Having the kitchen in the middle of the cottage was so handy and sitting up on the hill allowed us to enjoy the ocean breeze. The large lawn and tropical landscape gave us a sense of privacy and of being much farther away from the town than we were. And we loved being that close to town! Being next to Gallows Point is huge plus also. There is a little shop there to grab essentials and more importantly, Gallows Point is the location of the incredible Zozo's Restaurant. We dined there twice on this visit and twice on our last visit to Sjusvi. Zozo's cuisine is just fabulous with a service team that is second to none. Make it a must on your list of to-do's on the island. We are trying to plan another trip back to Sjusvi next year and we will be booking Seaview for that vacation.

Franklin TNSo Convenient to Cruz Bay, nice views from porches too
Left on 09/03/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We stayed at Sea View from august 5 - August 11, 2012. This was our 3rd trip to St John, and we decided to stay at Sea View so that we were within walking distance of town. The home definitely allows you to do just that. We had easy access to the ferry, the car rental facility (St John's Car Rental), Mongoose Junction, and all the restaurants in and around Cruz Bay. The down side, was the number of loud people returning from Cruz Bay between 2 - 3 a.m., but that was really only an issue one night. We did awaken early one morning to someone weed wacking the entire yard...and by St. John standards, it's a big yard! It must have taken 1.5 hours, starting at 8:00 a.m. The home itself is a bit dated, and in need of some TLC. The front landscaping was sad; actually a bit depressing entry into the home. We enjoyed sitting on the covered patio areas at the back of the house, and had to use one as the only dining area, because we needed the sofa bed in the living room. The kitchen was not air conditioned, and would get uncomfortably warm; especially using the stove or oven. The bedrooms were both nice and quite. Tommy was very pleasant and helpful during our stay. He met us at the dock, and checked in during the stay. The fridge was stocked with some welcoming beverages upon arrival! I would think twice about renting this home during the summer months again; but for location and access to Cruz Bay, you really can't beat it.

The location of the unit with the power in the view was not as great as we expected. We knew they were there, but thought they would be less obvious. The layout of the unit was great. The use of the pool arrangement was not as we were told at time of reservation, but owner was able to work out a good situation for us.
We would not select this location again due to the power lines in view. -

Des Moines, IAAbsolutely amazing!
Left on 03/23/2011 for a stay in March 2011
We had stayed in Gallows Point condos a couple years ago and decided to bring our entire family this time and therefore rented the house for more space. It was amazing!! Beautiful view, comfortable for 6 adults and a baby and very convenient location. The outdoor patios were awesome and great for making dinner at home and being able to eat outside. Tommy was very helpful and went out of his way to help us with things along the way. I would recommend this house to anyone staying in St. John. It can't be beat and I hope to go back sometime very soon!!

We enjoyed the design of the house very much: basically two separate apartments with a kitchen in the middle. That suited our purposes perfectly: one apartment for my husband and me, and the second one for our son, daughter-in-law and baby girl. We also loved all the outdoor patios. The location, so close to town, was another bonus. My husband and I liked to walk and we walked to town everyday. The ocean view was fantastic. And the neighborhood was quiet. The neighbor's bird feeder was a bonus: we enjoyed watching the bananaquits feeding there every morning. Also enjoyed meeting Nicodemus and the chickens.

Seaview is within walking distance to virtually all Cruz Bay activities therefore a renatl car is really not necessary. We did rent a car one day to go to Coral Bay and visit the anneberg Ruins. The island is so small, you can see it easily in day. We found the snokleling @ Gallows Point as good or better than Trunk Bay. Much more privacy at Seaview than Gallows Point yet you have access to all the amenities. The weather cooperated wonderfully. Great vacation!

Very easy to scheduled and make payment. This is a prime location - great view (except for telephone poles) and walking distance to Cruz bay shops and restaurants, but still nice and quiet.
Miss a pool but use of Gallows is ok - except for the daily hassle from the security guard there asking us where we were staying. Also very convenient to EveryTing.
Arrived at 5 on Saturday and the place was still being cleaned so that was a little awkward.
Tommy stopped by Sunday I think to check on the internet connection. We mentioned that we had no pitcher to make iced tea with but he never stopped back with one. Also there was no toilet paper left in the 2nd bathroom but we just took it from the other bathroom.
Some things we noted:
1) looks like the kitchen sink water is going directly from the house to the lawn - it appears a pipe is disconnected.
also the bathroom door does not close - looks like it had water seep up and is it is now swollen and sticks to the floor.
The a/C in this same bedroom goes on and off but can not to change the termp controls.
One morning we experienced 1 1/2 hours of weedwacking the whole yard - why don't they mow it? It seems like an inefficient way to "mow" the grass...
I own a handyman company - if you ever want to barter any maintenance work, I would be happy to work something out on another visit.
Lots of other positive things - lots of things in the kitchen, nice to have a washer and a dryer, beach chairs, safe, etc.
Never sat in living room as no a/C and too hot. Sat on the front porch every morning and back patio every afternoon. -

Cambridge, MALovely Week at SeaView
Left on 05/19/2010 for a stay in May 2010
We had a great week at SeaView, thank you for everything. The house was very
well equipped and in great shape when we arrived. There were plenty of
towels, the linens were lovely and for the most part all the appliances worked
great. We did have some problems with the toaster, but we didn't contact
Tommy because it wasn't a big deal. Tommy was great, very responsive,
friendly and helpful.
We enjoyed the privacy of the cottage and lovely porches. We were happy to
have such a quiet house so close to town.
Thanks again,

The Seaview house, at Gallows Point, St. John, is just a great spot to have an enjoyable vacation. It is within walking distance to all the shops, restaurants, and night clubs of Cruz Bay, while being out of the way of the vacation traffic. The house sits on the hill which looks out across the bay to St. Thomas and the beautiful sunset beyond. It's also a short drive to the Starfish supermarket or the north shore beaches, so you really have it all under control at this house. The home is very comfortable with plenty of outdoor areas to hang and read, sit and chat, or just plan your day. A great feature of this house is that it has it's own wireless internet, which really comes in handy with having information at your fingertips. Definately a keeper.
