Our family of five, four adults and one water logged three year old grandson, just returned from the most wonderful vacation on St. John. This home embraces you upon arrival with warmth and charm as the expansive views meet the beautiful villa. The layout of the main house and gorgeous adjacent quarters were perfect for our family to be together and enjoy our privacy at the same time, with large gathering areas on the scenic veranda, main living room and pool areas. We explored the island habitats, and beaches on foot and by water daily, and also thoroughly enjoyed the restaurants, shops and lively waterfront of Cruz Bay. Calicaribe offers the perfect location to the National Park, market and town. The grounds around the home are equally impressive with lovely landscping, flowers and the scents and sounds of paradise. This is also an artists delight as so many special designs in the home and fabulous details reveal a love of the Carribean and local color. We will cherish so many memories of this enchanting home and recommend it as our #1 choice for places to go and see in this lifetime!! ...more than once :-)

My family and I just returned from a week at Calicaribe on St. John, Usvi. My wife and I, along with our two teens, very much enjoyed the villa and everything it had to offer - not the least of which is the truly magnificent view! The view extends over 180 degrees from St. Thomas to the British Virgin Islands and enjoys spectacular sunsets over St. Thomas. The villa is even more impressive in person and was perfectly stocked with everything we needed. The owner and local property managers are wonderful to deal with and entirely professional. I would not hesitate staying here on our next trip or recommending it to our family and friends. The location is minutes away from Cruz Bay which offers great island shopping and top notch restaurants (although you will require a jeep rental). The beaches on the island are also some of the nicest beaches we have ever enjoyed (Trunk and Cinnamon are our favorites). While the villa is great for a family with teens or older, it would also be a great rental for three couples. The bedrooms are well separated and provide plenty of privacy, including the third bedroom suite with its own entrance and kitchen facilities. A romantic tropical paradise for certain!

I cannot say enough about Calicaribe. I have stayed there twice and have booked next year. The location is the best I have found having stayed in many different villas on the island. I love St John and travel with my Sisters and we are busy every minute. We love the beaches and snorkleing and everything about the water. We love to stay at Calicaribe because the location makes it easy to spend the day out and be able to come home clean up and go back to Cruz Bay for the evening. It is so close to town and the Starfish market but so quiet and secluded you never know you are that close. The house could not be better, everything you will need is there. The bedrooms are very private if you need a little down time.The pool is great and there is a very nice deck to sit on in the evening and enjoy a cocktail if you like. I hope if you choose Calicaribe you have as much fun there as we do.
