Amazing ocean views from every room at Villa Mar de Amores. Enjoy the Caribbean breezes at this spectacular family house at the top of Rock Ridge Road, in Chocolate Hole North; only 5 minutes away from town and shops. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, pool and a marvelous balcony where you can enjoy the view and watch the cruise ships go by at night, while grilling on the outside grill.

The most amazing beaches of the National Park are just within minutes. Mar de Amores is a three bedrooms villa which offers the most magnificent striking 180 degree view of four bays: Rendezvous , Hart , Chocolate Hole and Great Cruz Bay, as well as St Croix and... the island of Pillsbury Sound to the west.

Located on top of the mountain and at the very end of Rock Ridge road, only 5 minutes away on all paved roads form Cruz Bay, Amores gives total privacy and tranquillity. The roadside leads you into the courtyard. An exotic landscape of native and tropical plants welcomes you to your new vacation home, where you could enjoy sun bathing and the pool in a relaxing and peaceful setting.

Mar de Amores was our primary home for many years, probably the happiest of our lives, and only after you stay here you will be able to realize why we called it The Sea of Love

Mar de Amores seats on an elevation of about 700 feet and is also only 15 minutes away from all the most fantastic beaches of the Virgin Islands National Park, and the fine restaurants, beaches and amenities of the Westin Resort are within 5 minutes reach.

View of the most amazing blue sea can be enjoyed from every single room of this villa.

The location, the views and all the comfort of the house, will make Mar de Amores a place where you will want to come back.

Living / dining / kitchen

Mar de Amores is a unique one level design villa that has 13' high arched doors and windows and 25' beamed cathedral vaulted ceiling. You will drive through an impressive drive way to arrive to these spectacular three bedrooms, two bath villa. A very tall arched door enters you into the very spacious living room with imported tiles and mahogany and wicker furniture. This cosy indoor spot has many Caribbean details that will make your stay very comfortable. The Cable colours TV/DVD and stereo CD player are in this area.

The kitchen and the dining room follow. All shearing the magnificent view. The big and very well equipped kitchen has custom made cabinets and imported Spanish tiles and accents and has a teak table that seats six. An outside dining table and a gas grill, beach chairs and coolers are also available.

The kitchen open to a big balcony and pool through sliding glass doors, where there is also a covered gazebo, making it memorable for dining or sunset cocktails. You can also enjoy your morning breakfast while watching the cruise ships pas by or come back in the evening to soak in the glorious sunsets and watch the lights appear in St Croix.

The washer and dryer are located right next to the kitchen.

Following a doorway you will find the two smaller bedrooms both with queen size beds and comfortable and relaxing decoration. At the end you can find the master bedroom, which offers an exotic antique mahogany King Size bed and a master bathroom. The romantic deco and the ambiance of this room make it very appealing for honeymooners. The other bathroom is conveniently located close to the other two bedrooms.

  Great place to stay. Deck has great view and sunny, pool was refreshing. Deck is a little worn but in great shape. Note that most villas have cisterns for water so you have to conserve water (showering) and drink bottled water. Bedrooms have aC very comfortable but the rest of the house has no ac but it wasn’t necessary just open the sliders and breeze was great. 5 min. to cruise bay and 2 minutes to Groceries very convenient.
  Merttle was the property manager and was very responsive and informative.
  Week of Jan 14th St John was quiet no problem with beach parking and no waits for restaurants. Wifi only worked for about 2 hours this was the biggest problem, Cable was in and out a few times.

  Villa Mar De amores Is amazing!

  I can't say enough amazing things about Villa Mar De amores! My girlfriend and I stayed here to ring in the New Year and we had a wonderful time. When we arrived, we found that the villa was very well stocked with everything we needed (all cookware, dishes, linens, etc.). The villa is tranquil, charming and we found it to be well maintained, not to mention that the villa is huge with plenty of room. We spent lots of time wining and dining on the wood deck and took numerous dips in the pool while soaking in the beautiful views of the ocean. We also found the location ideal. It feels very much like you're getting away from it all but if you're looking for a day in town, your a quick car ride away. The Cividini Family was very polite and communicative throughout the entire process and answered all my questions promptly. All in all, the villa is amazing with beautiful views and loads of privacy. The accommodations were above and beyond what we expected. This is the perfect place for relaxing. I would recommend it to anyone for almost any occasion. I myself plan to return with friends in the future. We already look forward to our next visit!

  We enjoyed our stay at Mar de amores, the views are breathtaking, those evenings at the deck will be with us forever, the island life is such a nice experience,so easy going...Dining in town was wonderful and we also loved the beaches, Truk Bay was our favorite one.

  We enjoyed the villa. It was clean. The rooms are actually a little smaller than the pictures show on the site, but I'm sure all sites use wide angle lens'. The kitchen was adequately equipped. The jacuzzi tub does not work, but there is a shower in the master bath, which is what we normally use anyway. Bedrooms are airconditioned and we slept comfortably. Pool was clean and had jets in it. A 4 wheel drive is almost a must to get up the driveway--but that's all that is normally rented on St John, anyway. Close to town. Close to Westin. All paved roads to Villa. It was really nice to work directly with renting the villa from the owners rather than a rental company. Appreciated getting our security deposit check back so quickly after returning home. The home could use a little updating and repair of minor things, but nothing to the extent of affecting our stay.

  Great villa for couples or small families

  It can be cost-prohibitive for couples to stay in Villas on STJ...they're usually much more cost-friendly to multiple couples or large families. So my wife and I did a lot of villa research before this last trip to STJ, our 4th. And for the price, location, villa design, views and overall amenities (a/c in bedrooms, washer/dryer, full kitchen, etc.), Mar De amores is really tough to beat.
  
  Only knock would maybe the lack of a hot tub, but there's a nice-sized pool that we enjoyed and preferred relaxing in after all those hot, fun days running around the island.
  
  We did not bring our small children on this trip, but if we had, we feel like they would have done great in this villa. It's very safe.
  
  We were really comfortable in this villa, always felt safe and secure, and the proximity to town made everything that much easier.
  
  Highly recommend. And the owners could not have been easier to work with.
