St Kilda, with a population of 16,122, is located 6km south from Melbourne's CBD. St Kilda was named after a ship, the ‘Lady of St Kilda’, which moored at the main beach for much of 1841. During the Edwardian and Victorian eras, St Kilda became a favoured suburb of Melbourne's elite, and many palatial mansions were constructed along its hills and waterfront. I spent two weeks staying at 1/23 Irwell St., and it proved to be an excellent place to stay for a trip to Melbourne. Centrally-located, and close to public transport (the trams!). The apartment had everything I needed for 2 weeks. Even though it is located right beside one of the top tourist destinations in Melbourne, it was quiet at night. Plenty of good shops and great restaurants right at my door.

The service was excellent, any questions or repairs we had were addressed immediately. It was a great place to recovery from hip replacement surgery... enough space, well located, simple access and close to the beach.
The bed was very comfortable, big plus for that. The kitchen counter space and oven was too small to make a proper meal. -

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Espresso apartments. Our apartment had everything we required and lovely open spaces for us to enjoy our family when they came around for the evening. The location was very handy, the apartment was clean and tidy.

We enjoyed our stay in this apartment because of its excellent location, all that St. Kilda has to offer - the beach, restaurants, public transport is within a few minutes walk. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean. Some outdoor furniture on the big balcony wuld have been nice, but other than that it was great!
