Left on 05/16/2013 for a stay in March 2013
This attractive modern apartment is located in a very cosmopolitan area and is
less than a minute from excellent tram and rail services.
The apartment is very clean, well equipped and maintained.
The Balaclava area has an abundance of shops and stores providing a wide range of merchandise. We have paid a lot more and received not received this standard. -

We spent a week here using the apartment as a base for visiting Melbourne. I can say that this was definitely the best choice! Location is perfect as it is very close to the train taking you to the city-centre while St Kilda is just such a great neighbourhood! The beach was also very close as it was the Luna Park, perfect for out three-year-old daughter.
The apartment itself is spotless and equipped with all the furniture and appliances you may need.
I can not say thank you enough to the staff managing the properties who have been all the time just so prompt to respond to all our questions and needs, and they even delivered the rings that I have left in the apartment when we left.
Thank you very much for such a great service!

Left on 10/05/2012 for a stay in September 2012
We had no complaints with the unit on its own, save for the winding staircase. Going up and down these stairs, and having back and leg problems was difficult for me, but once up, bed was comfortable, and bathroom was good...shower excellent. I found the couch rather uncomfortable, the laundry room had a mildew odour, we ran the dishwasher once and it didn't clean, but perhaps we set it wrong; I washed the dishes by hand after that.
Slipped on the outer stairs going down to get outside once, but wasn't hurt.
Quiet, wonderful location, and very clean apartment and unit. Thank you! -

The apartment is really cozy and very well maintained. Really liked the layout with the living space downstairs & the bedroom up in the attic; provided the perfect balance of space & privacy. The queen size bed was a bit too small as we were traveling with a 3 yr old & the extra bed provided was a bit of a let down. The pocket wifi which was confirmed before our arrival was provided to us late. Coles & local shops were within 5mins walk & the beach nearby as well. Generally great value for money.

HobartWhat a Find
Left on 09/05/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Am hesitating to write this review because I dont want the word to get out! I usually stay in the Melbourne CBD in a 5 star and this time needed to be closer to a client in Elwood. A quick google search for accommodation wasnt inspiring and then i stumbled upon Espresso apartments. What a find! They were so helpful and provided a personalised service to recommend an apartment close to where I needed to be. The quality of the apartment was fabulous, well equipped, sunny, quiet, clean, close to great cafes, transport and in an eclectic area where there was a great vibe. Will certainly stay again and use this service again. highly recommended.

Left on 07/03/2012 for a stay in June 2012
The service during the booking and stay were great. I didn't realise that I needed to pre-arrange the Wifi but they delivered the Wifi dongle on the evening that I first arrived so that was no problem. I did call them to advise of a few small maintenance issues (lightbulbs etc) but these were minor and they sent a maintenance person the following day. This didn't disrupt our stay at all and having worked in the tourism industry for 15+ years I realise that if previous guests don't make you aware of issues that sometimes it is difficult to pick them up. I would definitely recommend Espresso apartments to friends and colleagues and look forward to staying with them again.
Cheers

We found that apartment to be all in order, and as described in the website. The location was very handy for us, and all in all we enjoyed our stay. I think that some would find the trains a bit noisy, but we actually enjoyed being able to see them pass by from the apartment. If anything we did find that our bin was 95% full, which left just about no room for our own rubbish, and that a few light-bulbs in the apartment needed replacing. Also the washing powder, which worked OK anyway, described itself as not appropriate for a front-loading machine. We didn't like the glass chopping board much. That said we would still look forward to staying here again, and would recommend it highly.

Rose BayNice accommodation
Left on 01/06/2012 for a stay in December 2011
Service leading up to leaving Sydney was great, however on arrival at what I thought was the location I phoned and left a message, stating that the address location is actually Balaclava and 2 GPS systems I had access to a indicated 'Balaclava'. To a Sydney sider this is very confusing when you put St Kilda East in the GPS as there is a Nelson Street in St Kilda East. When I phoned Espresso I had to leave a message. It wasn't like I knew the suburb Balaclava even existed. About 1 hour later I managed to get sorted thanks to a helpful lady in the street advising that it would be Balaclava. I then phoned Espresso again, stating that I had found the address. To this day, nobody ever returned my call which I find extremely poor.
The accommodation was very nice and very quiet. Location was fine as I had my car, so it was fairly close to amenities & Coles. Comfortable bed. I was happy... once I found it!!!Response from Espresso Apartments - 01/31/2012

The appartment was just as described in the video and excellent in every way - any niggles I had were of a very minor nature. Location was close to my sons home, and handy for trams and trains into the city.
A happy customer! -

Leedsexcellent apartment in very good position
Left on 11/12/2011 for a stay in October 2011
This is one of those apartments that's better than the pictures on the website. Very roomy. Perfectly clean. Spacious lounge with high ceiling and stairs up to a big bedroom with ensuite bathroom. Big high pressure shower. Secure parking in the basement.
It's on a busy one way road leading to Coles supermarket so it suffers from traffic noise early in the morning. There is also a railway line very nearby so it can be noisy but it's lovely to stay in.
Very good cafe nearby - Las Chicas. Out of the flat, turn right and walk 150 meters to the main road.
Plentiful supply of nespresso coffee pods and lots of different teas. -

SingaporeComfortable and Clean
Left on 07/10/2011 for a stay in June 2011
The apartment was conveniently located within walking distance from Balaclava tram station. The nearby restaurants, bakery and a Coles Supermarket that opened till 12am provided much convenience.
The apartment was pleasant, having a separate living and bedroom area, bedroom being on the loft level. Adored the floor to ceiling windows, giving a sense of space and allowing natural light.
Looked forward to waking up every morning to a cup of nice coffee from the nespresso machine!

MelbourneComfortable stay in excellent location
Left on 07/06/2011 for a stay in May 2011
We had a very comfortable stay in the apartment with everything we needed at hand in the apartment. Apartment was clean except for coffee stains on the tabletop in the kitchen when we arrived. Very dusty on the wooden floor left of TV. We requested a second key from the rental agent and waited 4 days for it to arrive and it being the wrong key as well. With our extended stay of three weeks in the apartment the rubbish bin downstairs was a problem. Numerous requests whether we are suppose to put the bins out for collection and if so which days or if someone else is suppose to put them out became a hassle for us. The rubbish bins were overflowing and nobody was doing anything about it. Just felt that this was poor service. The matter was resolved 3 days before our departure.

Left on 07/08/2010 for a stay in January 2010
We stayed here for 3 1/2 months, and were very happy with the apartment. It is so close to cafes, shops, and grocery stores. There are three cafes within a block - and all excellent. Las Chicos, a restaurant half a block away is fantastic. Half a block from the train & trams. The library is easy walking distance and the shopping on Chapel Street is a healthy walk or a quick tram ride. The kitchen facilities are not huge, but with so many great places to eat in Melbourne - who needs a kitchen! I loved having the loft bedroom. It is a small place, but fine for a couple or singles.
