Additional Location Information
St Kilda, with a population of 16,122, is located 6km south from Melbourne's CBD. St Kilda was named after a ship, the ‘Lady of St Kilda’, which moored at the main beach for much of 1841. During the Edwardian and Victorian eras, St Kilda became a favoured suburb of Melbourne's elite, and many palatial mansions were constructed along its hills and waterfront. Post WWII, St Kilda became Melbourne's red-light district. In recent years, St Kilda has experienced gentrification. Now St Kilda is one of Melbourne’s premier and most expensive suburbs. St Kilda is home to many of Melbourne's famous visitor attractions including Luna Park, the Esplanade Hotel, Acland Street and Fitzroy Street. It is home to St Kilda Beach, Melbourne's most famous beach, several renowned theatres and several of Melbourne's big events and festivals.

Salt Lake CityA nice place to stay
Left on 11/02/2012 for a stay in October 2012
I have family who live in Melbourne. I wanted to be close to them and to the sea. This place was ideal for its location. St. Kilda is a great place to visit and the street car line was only 2 blocks from the apartment and we used it to go to Melbourne and visit all of that area. The apartment was very clean and extremely comfortable. The only two negatives were that there is no air conditioning in the guest bedroom and two of the burners on the cooktop would not stay lit so we couldn't use them. The managment came to repair the burners, but still couldn't get one of them to work.
The apartment has a master bedroom, which was very nice. The guest bedroom actually will accommodate two, so four people can stay at the apartment, not the three that it advertises.
The secure parking was very nice. -

SydneyExcellent value for a two bedroom apartment in Melbourne
Left on 06/08/2012 for a stay in May 2012
The apartment is an excellent option for anyone wanting to stay in Melbourne in a two bedroom apartment, without breaking the bank! I don't think that you would get better value for money anywhere else in the city. It is very modern, very clean and well equiped. The owners have made sure that the apartments contains everything you need. A couple of problems: The internet kept dropping out and secondly the apartment is not that close to the CBD. Although we found some great shops and restaurants just around the corner in acland Street. I would also suggest hiring a car. The apartment has free secure parking.
