La Bagatelle Villa is located off of the Anse Chastanet road in Soufriere, St. Lucia, West Indies. It is a two-story house facing southwest and has marvelous views of the famous Piton mountains and the sea, and St. Vincent is visible on clear days.
The villa was completely reconstructed in 1999 and features greenheart wood floors, Italian tiled bathrooms, two large bedrooms with antique West Indian four poster beds, and antique tables and armoires. The walls and ceilings have been painted a blend of soft greys, off whites and whites. Superb views abound from all rooms.

We just got back from a fantastic stay. The owner made sure we had transportation from the airport (highly recommended). Pictures do not do justice for the house. Has a great cook, who is there from 9-3. Let them buy the groceries for the first day or so. We are not tennis players, but played everyday (wife and two kids ages 9 and 12). The house is the best in Sourfriere, as we saw several other rentals in the area. Lots of sites and things to do in the area, so a rental car in needed. Be prepared for defensive driving as roads are narrow. The town of Soufriere is very "non-tourist", so if you are looking for an authenic town, this is it. Fresh fish every day is available to buy in town.
