Luxury villa in St. Martin with adjacent access to Orient Beach. This huge villa offers beautiful breathtaking views of the ocean. It has a very nice pool and large terrace with outdoor living and dining. It has a kitchen with stainless steel and granite throughout and an open floor plan for entertaining. The master suite contains its own private bath with a glass block shower and double sinks and marble floors. Villa Belle Mer is beautiful. We travelled with 3 other couples, and all of us had previously visited St. Martin. This time we wanted to find a villa, large enough to accomodate us all. The home is beautifully appointed, the pool and outdoor areas are outstanding. Louvie, the housekeeper is a gem - warm, friendly and extremely helpful with information about the area. We sincerely hope to be able to stay again at Villa Belle Mer!

Our family vacation in St. Martin ended in august, after our 6th year being guests at Villa Belle Mer. Now we are counting the days until next summer to return to the beautiful Island and our second home, Villa Belle Mer. Upon each return new and wonderful things happen at the villa, this year all new outdoor furniture, spacious area for 8 - 10 persons to sit in comfort. I was the queen in the gourmet kitchen until the arrival of a large weber gasgrill, then the men took over cooking the dinners.
Our boys spent hours with friends in the upstairs library, playing one of the many games available for the guests, as well about 200 books. The friendly cross breezes and ceiling fans makes this a wonderful get away with the views over to St. Barts. Thank you for letting us share your Villa.

We absolutely loved this place!
Having chosen to keep our vacations fairly exclusive to St. Martin we've stayed in a number of places in the Orient Beach vicinity.
Green Caye Vila, Esmeralda, Club Orient...
The Villa Belle Mer has been the best by far.
Stunning amenities and gorgeous views.
We chose to drive down to Club-O every day which is an easy 4 minute drive away.
Walking to the beach and shops is also an option we took to particularly at night.
Life at Villa Belle Mer definitely seems to focus around the beautiful swimming pool, as it's centrally located.
Someone has spent a great deal of time, money and effort in decorating this gorgeous place which we would love to consider our home away from home.
That certainly the feeling we left with.
Cannot wait to return.

The pictures of the Villa and the amenities were as advertised with a few additions not listed on the description. Those extras include first of all a housekeeper, Louvenia who is very friendly and available to help the novice to St. Martin/St. Maarten find their way around the island and it's variety of choices. The second extra is the owner, who is very good at answering questions prior to and after the rental along with sending a variety of information such as restaurant recommendations, directions, information for immigration, etc. The third extra was us friendly 110V plugs and converters throughout the villa and an answering machine that makes it easier for dealing with local vendors (sail boats, restaurants, etc.). Fourth, but not last is the outdoor space. Several nights we ate at the dining table by the pool with the sound system playing our favorite music in the background. Perfect for relaxing and spending quality time with family.
As one person said here, like most villas in the Caribbean, the bedrooms are the only part that is air-conditioned, but the temperatures were comfortable with the constant breeze and the villa has excellent ventilation. Temperatures at the end of august were lows at 80 and highs at 86 perfect for a warm weather vacation with the breeze. -

Although this property is quite lovely and the location is very convenient to Orient Bay and it's beaches, the lack of air conditioning is a problem. Upon arriving at the villa at 6:30 p.m., the housekeeper was in the kitchen spraying herself down with Deep Woods Off, to keep the mosquitos from biting. She had all the doors to the main house open, no screens anywhere, and a bug zapper positioned on the kitchen counter. When we asked why she didn't have the a/c on, she informed us that only the bedrooms were air-conditioned. We were sweltering and tired, so we closed the doors to the house and utilized the master bedroom air conditioner in an effort to cool the main part of the house. Because of the location of the other two bedrooms, each situated off a long hallway adjacent to the dining area, we were unable to utlize the a/c from those rooms to assist with cooling the diningroom, livingroom and kitchen. There were no standing fans with which to move the air around. We were able to cool the main house enough to make it liveable with the one master bedroom a/c, but that stopped working during the middle of the night on the 4th night of our stay. When we contacted the housekeeper, that morning, she advised us to move to the other master bedroom. This was the first leg of a 14-day stay so we left all our belongings in the first bedroom and simply slept in the other. This was very inconvenient, but we assumed that the a/c would be repaired promptly. It wasn't, and was still broken when we left. We paid $3,600 for the week, the 2-couple off-season rate. During high season, this villa rents for up to $12,500 for a week. There should be air conditioning throughout this villa as the upstairs "library" is like sitting in your attic in the heat of the summer. Unless you like to slather yourself in bug repellant every day and more in the evening, you should make certain that the owners have rectified this situation prior to renting this villa. This was an unfortunate surprise to us and truly detracted from the enjoyment of this otherwise beautiful property.

We shared this villa with another couple. this is our 2nd time to stay here. It just keeps getting better and better each year. House is in imaculate shape along with pool and gardens. New gas grill! Wow. we are already planning our stay for next year. 10 minute walk to Orient beach and bars. Very safe,private and comfortable place to stay. Would highly recommend!!

We had been to St. Martin on cruise ships before and loved it so we decided to stay a week on the island. We did extensive research and picked Villa Belle Mer. It was a fantastic decision. We were taken from the airport to pick up the rental car and the courtesy van then led us to the villa with our luggage. One note, we had a promotional rental car with Prestige Car Rental. That was the only bad experience of the trip. Next year we are going to go elswhere for the car. We were met at the villa by one of the villa's representatives who gave us a tour and answered all of our questions. He left his card for any questions during our stay. The villa was outstanding! It was clean and luxurious, just like it shows in the online ads. The pool was great! Just the right size and perfectly cleaned. We spent lots of time at the pool deck which has a great exterior bar and dining area. The villa is very private. The location is relatively close to Orient Beach. About a 5-10 minute walk to the end of the beach. Shopping and restaraunts are close by and only a couple minute drive or a few minute walk. One of the highlights of the villa was the housekeeper Louvie. She answered all of our questions and if she did not know the answer, she would make a phone call and find the answer for us. She is extrordinary. I can't imagine staying anywhere else on the island!

We spent a glorious week in February, 2010 at Villa Belle Mer. It couldn't have been more wonderful. The house is beautiful and well appointed with all the luxuries you would expect from a villa of this caliber. The bedrooms were beautiful. The pool and patio area was perfection and the within easy walking distance location to Orient Beach cannot be matched. The private french chef we hired created the most delicious meals for us on several evenings of our visit. The daily housekeeper took excellent care of us! We can't wait to return.

We have had the pleasure of staying at Villa Bel Mer twice and have enjoyed
our stay on both occassions.
The owners have truly gone to great measures to ensure that every
convenience is available and you fully enjoy your island experience. The
pool and verandah seamlessly join to the living and kitchen area, allowing
you to experience the warm Caribbean breeze as it blows, with an amazing
view of the ocean. We very much liked the fence and security gate, allowing
us complete privacy and security. The yard is mature with well manicured
trees and shrubs that make you feel like you're in your own little island
paradise.
Although there is a full dining area inside, we chose to dine outside on the
verandah for our morning and evening meal.
Each bedroom has its own ensuite, and the kitchen is a dream to work in
should you choose, with all of the comforts of home at your fingertips. I
especially enjoyed lounging with a book in the library during the late
afternoon.
The decor is exquisite, with attention to every detail. Each room has it's
own island theme, and is is tastfully decorated, while still paying homage to
its location.
We have stayed at many places in St. Martin, but after our stays at Villa Bel
Mer, we both agree that we never want to stay anywhere else when on
vacation. It is only minutes drive from Orient Beach, and Grand Case, which
for us was a huge plus. We would not hesitate in recommending this
beautiful Villa to anyone considering staying there.

We loved our stay at Villa Belle Mer. It is a great luxury villa and so near Orient Beach but still private. We particulary loved Louvie the housekeeper. She made our stay so delightful. She is a joy. We will certainly return!

Our trip to Villa Belle Mer was fantastic. My wife and I have been wanting to find the perfect get away spot that would have luxurious accommodations with a beach close to the villa. This villa is ultra-private and having the housekeeper daily was great. We enjoy cooking at home and eating out, so our choices were excellent. There is a 5 start eating establishment just a block away, so when we didn't want to cook we lounged in an outdoor area and had our favorite tuna tartare...There are also other great culinary delights all along the beach as well in the neighboring town of Grand Case. If you are looking for a luxury villa to rent in St. Martin, particularly on Orient Beach or in Orient Bay, this is the best you will find. The pool is large and I really enjoyed being able to lounge outside in the pool and terrace living area. We were able to keep our refreshment cool and handy in the outside bar and we listened to cool caribbean music from our Ipod which we were able to hook up to the indoor system. My wife likes all the up to date kitchen appliances which are equipped with all stainless steel and most of the surfaces in the villa are marble which is really nice. We also like the upstairs library which is so comfortable for ready and relaxing. This villa is HUGE. Each bedroom has it's own spacious bathroom and there a so many places to lounge and dine...you get lost!!! Kudos to the owners for making it our best holiday vacation in St. Martin! We definitely will come back to visit!

My husband and I are very picky about where we stay when on vacation. We like privacy and spaciousness and we enjoy luxury properties. Villa Belle Mer far exceeded our expecations in all areas and we're most certainly going to return. The villa has all the upscale things you'd expect in a high end property. All the conveniences are there and no detail was spared by the owners in their diligence in keeping their villa exceptionally clean and loaded with extras. Louvie the housekeeper is so kind and warm and from the moment we arrived until the time we left, she looked after us. One of the things we liked is that all the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and each has its own bathroom with granite. The beach is so close - just steps down the road so your close enough for going every day, but not on top of it so you have ultra privacy. You'll find that you spend most of your time outside on the terrace that is equipped with a living room, dining room, outside bar, shower, grill and full speaker system for enjoying your favorite music. Get ready to be spoiled if you visit Villa Belle Mer. It is a vacation you won't ever forget!

We have visited Villa Belle Mer two times and will continue to make it our annual secret get away! It is the best villa we've ever stayed at and love it because it is so big and private. The villa is decorated beautifully and the owners have paid attention to every detail imaginable to make your stay enjoyable. It has all the latest features from the kitchen to the upscale bathrooms and the outside lounge is fabulous! It's like having a whole new villa outside! That is where we spend most of our time because it is so comfortable. And the fact that it is just steps to the beach and has a wonderful housekeeper who looks after us - we couldn't imagine staying at a better vacation spot!
