Geneva SwitzerlandWonderful holiday beautiful island
Left on 01/19/2013 for a stay in December 2012
We were a family of 6 adults who stayed at the Ffryes Villa Hamilton Estate from the 22nd december until the 4th January.
Ffryes villa is absolutly charming, clean and spacious and has everything you will need and all the appliances and comfort to have a wonderful holiday. the al-freco veranda was wonderful for breakfast or a cocktail late at night, the swimming pool delightful for an early morning or late night swim. The new internet router works to perfection. Dan the caretaker and Yasmine the house manager make sure your very well looked after.
I have been to antigua and other caribbean islands many times before, however I had always stayed in hotels, renting the villa gave us much more freedom and was more relaxing to celebrate christmas and new year with the family was much more intimate than a hotel. We found many delicious restaurants, Hemmingsway at St. Johns the lobster in lime, coconut shrimps crab cakes, west-indies curry and creole sauces mouth wateringly delicious however if you like a steak cooked to perfection Peter's at Jolly Harbour is the place to go, an excellant Italian restaurant abracadbra at the English Harbour. We took a day boat trip on excellance from St.Johns to the sisiter island of Barbuda The island is stunningly, spectaculary beautifu with such soft white sand, the sea a transparent turquoise and the crew of the boat friendly caring and tendering to all our needs. The beaches in antigua, all are so beautiful so much choice each and every one as beautiful as the next.
Finally, a big big thankyou to Marianne the owner of Ffryes villa for the Christmas tree and the greetings message was very kind.
Antigua is a very strange mixture of wealth and poverty in a delicious wrapping of beautiful landscapes, gorgeous sunsets, stunning beaches with friendly caring happy caribbean antiguan people.

Left on 08/24/2012 for a stay in July 2012
This is a superb villa, it is fully equiped with everything you need and was clean and tidy on arrival. Antigua has superb beaches and restaurants, water sports and boat trips so you can do as little or as much as you want to. We spent most of our days on the many beaches having lunch at the beach restaurants with evenings at the villa or out in Jolly harbour. All in all a perfect holiday.

New YorkFantastic vacation
Left on 08/17/2012 for a stay in June 2012
Our fantastic vacation in antigua started as we were picked up from the airport. At the house we were greeted by Yasmin, who provided us with a lot of useful information about the island, things to do, places to go, eat, shop. House was great, comfortable, equipped with all the necessities anyone would like to find in a "home away from home". We loved that it was quiet and private. Location - very convenient! Ffryes Beach became our favorite. Beautiful, clean. Lounge chairs always available. We witnessed a wedding on that beach and a dinner party. Snorkeling and zip-lining were fun adventures.
We rented a car from the owners and Don gave us our first tour of the island. He showed us different beaches and recommended places to eat.
Staying at Ffryes Villa made our vacation relaxing and unforgettable. We saw the hotel strip and how crowded it was. It was such a pleasure to come back to the house and "our" beach.
Antigua became a place we would definitely come back to. -

Left on 07/20/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Met at the airport and taken to the villa. Yasmine was very good at introducing us to all the facilities. Don sorted out the car hire and license. The villa was well appointed with all the facilities we needed. Pool kept clean and in good working order. Location is ideal for shops and beaches and bars.
Beaches and beach bars all first rate in this area. Our second visit and will be going back again. -

We had our honeymoon at Ffryes villa in May. We stayed there for a week.
Overall a unique experience, highly recommended!
Below some points:
1) The house itself offers more than you need. It is spacious (both indoors and outdoors), with high ceilings, fully-equipped and well-maintained.
It is quiet, the ideal place to rest and relax when not enjoying antigua's natural beauties. Spending time at the swimming pool
was a great fun during both day and night.
2) The spatial location of the house is a huge plus. It is very close (2min drive) to Valley Church beach, a beach with colors out of this world!
Other gorgeous beaches (Ffryes, Darkwood) are also nearby. The local super market (epicurean) is also a couple of minutes drive away. Restaurants with good food, nice environment and amazing views (for example: The sheer rock's @ Cocobay Resort, and Carmichael's @ Sugar Ridge hotel) are also within very easy reach.
3) The owners were very helpful and welcoming. Also the maintenance people were ready to act when some small problems arose.
Car is not necessary, but highly recommended! -

Left on 04/02/2012 for a stay in March 2012
I have recently returned from a 17 night stay at Ffryes Villa and I can honestly say it was the best holiday I have ever had!
Antigua is simply stunning and the house itself is in the perfect location, minutes from beautiful beaches, lovely restaurants, vibrant bars, and Jolly Harbour. We rented a car directly from the owners which was fab and allowed us to spend our days exploring the island, or just driving to the local supermarket if we were too lazy for the brief walk.
The house is like home from home (except my home sadly isn't a patch on Ffryes!), I spent days lounging by the pool and evenings sitting outside, Bbqing and sipping cocktails...Heaven.
I literally couldn't have asked for more from a holiday destination, and was so sad to leave! Will hopefully be back at Ffryes again soon. -

We had a car which we found very useful all in all a really good holiday.

Left on 12/06/2011 for a stay in November 2011
My husband and I have just returned from a vacation at Ffryes Villa with our 10 month old baby and parents and we had a great stay. Having a pool to yourself really made the holiday very relaxing as well as having everything made available including a child crib and highchair. My dad commented that he wished we had stayed for two weeks!!! There are excellent restuarants nearby but if you do want to self cater, the supermarket has a good selection and the villa has a barbecue which makes cooking very easy. We really did enjoy our stay and will be back.

Left on 06/06/2011 for a stay in May 2011
We stayed here for a week in May. It was a group of 5 of us and we had a great time. It was our first time renting a house rather than being in a resort. The pool is lovely and nice for when you don't want to walk the 10 minutes to the beach. Normally we stay in resorts, but this is a much better experience because you really get to meet a lot of the locals. We went to the beach at Jolly Harbour the first day and met up with Lennox and Randy who were able to arrange all the fishing trips, scubs etc we wanted to do. They hang out at Castaways Bar which is a nice spot because they will provided beach chairs and you'll have a place to get food and drinks during the day. A lot of the other areas on the beach have all inclusive resorts.
Lastly the beaches are amazing in antigua. Ive been to a dozen other carrribean islands and haven't seen as much clear blue water (without crowds) anywhere. -

Left on 04/25/2011 for a stay in April 2011
Our second stay at Ffryes Villa - everything was as good as last year. Ffryes is wonderfully located with a great choice of beaches and restaurants on it's doorstep. The property is maintained to a very high standard and was perfect for the 4 adults and 1 teenager in our party. Things don't always run smoothly on antigua, but the one minor maintenance issue we experienced was sorted out very quickly. We're already planning our return next year!

Colchester, United KingdomA Fantastic family base for a holiday in antigua
Left on 04/17/2011 for a stay in February 2011
Ffyres villa was the perfect base for our family trip to antigua. The villa was very spacious with a great lay out and was well equipped with everything we needed and more! There was ample space for our party (3 and 4 year old plus parents and grandparents) and the children (and grown ups!) loved the freedom to splash around in our own private pool or just relax and spend time together in the huge outdoor living areas.
We did hire a car as we wanted to see as much of the island as possible but the villa was very well located and you can walk easily to the local (very good) supermarket and a reasonable choice of bars and restaurants at Jolly Harbour Marina. There are two beaches within easy walking distance and both have good beach bars for drinks and/or good lunches. -

We spent six days at Ffryes villa in antigua last December. The villa had everything we could have wanted and was the perfect place to stay with a group of friends. We had plenty of space and was really laid out. The villa is close to the Jolly Harbour resort with amenities and a supermarket. There are amazing beaches very close buy with fun restaurants and bars. Hopefully we can return again in the future

Ffryes is perfect for a relaxing stay on antigua. It's great for chilling out on the verandah and listening to the wildlife in the field behind. The bedrooms and bathrooms are well proportioned and comfortable. The kitchen, dining area and sitting area are easy on the eye and very practical.
It is was shame that the internet connection was very poor and there was a lack of UK/us adapter plugs. Truly a great place to rent and can't wait to go back again. Thank you for all your help in arranging the visit at such short notice. -

We loved antigua and are already making plans to return next year. The villa was just right for us – very comfortable and nicely located and Yasmine was very attentive. The island was very quiet – it almost felt like we had the place to ourselves at times – not that we’re complaining about that. There was a bit of rain, but only 1 day that you could call a wash-out.

Our stay at Ffryes villa in Antigua was wonderful. The villa is clean and comfortable with every amenity you could wish for. The perfect place for a winter break and for re-charging the batteries.
One of the best beaches on the island is only a 5 minute walk away and sports a friendly beach bar and restaurant offering delicious sea food and rum punches to die for! The villa is also conveniently located near to Jolly Harbour which as a range of useful facilities such as banks, supermarkets and local crafts stores. Here you can watch the boats coming and going in the harbour or hire one for a day out on the sea yourself and experience we would thoroughly recommend. For the more adventurous there is plenty to see and experience on the rest of the island. The colours of the sea, sand and sky, along with the vibrancy of the local shanty houses will stay with me for a long time. Such an uplifting place to wind down at any time of the year but even better in the middle of a long, cold and grey winter. Thoroughly recommended. -

Ffryes Villa was just the perfect place to enjoy our stay in Antigua. It was wonderfully appointed with all the home comforts you could need... (After a long flight we were especially grateful for the pg tips!).
The location is perfect too, just a 5 minute walk to the Marina with shops and restaurants or 5 minutes in the other direction takes you to one of the islands most stunning tranquil beach spots!
We hired a car, which I would advise as the entire island is packed with beauty which you just wouldn't want to miss.
Some nights we sampled the local cuisine, but many were spent BBQ-ing on the deck with a bottle of Bolans local rum, (available from behind a dubious looking wooden door in the next village, and well worth hunting down!)
Honestly this had to be the best holiday I've ever had. Thank you to everyone at Ffryes Villa for helping make this the dream getaway I was hoping for!
Can't wait to get back!!
