The Historic Rose-Lovell House is located in the heart of the St. Marys, Ga. historic district, within walking distance of the Cumberland Island Ferry, unique shops and several restaurants. A traditional foursquare, built in 1907, the home has been lovingly restored with beautiful furnishings, high ceilings, hardwood floors, and tall windows giving it a warm and welcoming feel. Updated kitchen and bathrooms, a formal dining room and two large porches make it a great choice for family reunions or catching up with old friends.

St. Marys is just minutes from I-95, and located on the northern bank of the St. Marys River. Nearby Kingsland is home to Kings Bay Submarine Base. St. Marys is only 30 minutes from Jacksonville International Airport, yet feels like another place and time. People great you with a smile and a wave. We stayed here a fun girls get-away weekend in early fall and had the best time ever! The owners have put great care into decorating this house so you feel right at home with its charm and comfort. The kitchen is fully outfitted and big enough for accommodating a few cooks which adds to the fun! The beds and linens compare to those in a luxury resort and the high ceilings and many large windows bring in the beautiful surrounding nature and light.
When we weren't cooking and enjoying the beautiful dining room we were taking advantage of many of the wonderful restaurants in town. Don't miss the Riverside Cafe for breakfast for cheese grits and Shark bites for mac and cheese your way (smoked gouda and lobster - yum!) and the Blue Goose Cafe for light fare (they also have an amazing assortment of Stonewall kitchens condiments for sale).
And - Cumberland Island for hiking and going to the beach -- lots of stuff to see there such as wild horses, turkeys, bobcat tracks, dolphins and shorebirds. The Schooner Steelaway is available for day sailing charters -- really enjoyed meeting Captain anne!
I have stayed in many owner rentals and this one is one of the most comfortable, charming and memorable stays yet! -

The home is lovely and serene. Our party was 3 50+ couples who have travel together over 30 years.
Every convience was available and the quality of the furnishing very evident. It was a pleasure to spend our New Years holiday in such a lovely home. -

No detail is missed at this magnificent vacation home in Saint Mary's. This trip was for three nights with girlfriends in need of relaxation, comfortable beds, a kitchen for cooking great meals and nearby sites. This was our first time to this charming city and won't be our last because of Rose-Lovell accommodations. I highly recommend to any family, friends looking for an accessible getaway(close to Jax airport and only 3 hours from Orlando fo me)or a long term stay. Included all the comforts of home, wireless, television, bathrooms and bedrooms for each of us andevery kitchen amenity needed! I will be back with my family soon!

Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home with us. Everyone loved the space, decor and location. Staying here felt like a delightful week at home. It is even prettier in person than the photos depict. Our teens loved our day trips and exploring Cumberland Island. Transactions with the owner/rental group were super smooth and very helpful.
